Thanks Lise. I've been late in reading emails so I just saw this. And man, is it every timely 'cause I'm certainly not getting any younger! emoticon I'm going to start this and some light yoga this evening.

No. You copy and paste the dates below. When you do the exercises on a specific day, you mark an X beside the date. I'm glad to have restarted this challenge because while I was on holidays, I didn't do much as far as the facial exercises were concerned. This will keep me on track. emoticon

P.S. The link at the bottom of the exercises is if you have any comments to pass on the team exercises, etc.

Here we go again. Due to popular demand, it was decided to continue with the facial exercising challenges. These will be posted every two weeks.

It is simple. Every second Sunday I will post some new exercises that will need to be done for a minimum of 5 days a week. You choose the days that suit you. If you can do these for the 7 days, all the better for you. These will take from 5 to 7 minutes to complete. Simply type in an X on the days you have done your exercises.

BEFORE YOU START EXERCISING, DON’T FORGET TO LUBRICATE YOUR FACE WITH EITHER CREAM OR WATER AS THIS KEEPS YOUR FACIAL SKIN MORE PLIABLE FOR THE EXERCISES.

WARMUP: (provided by MOTLEM)
Start by warming up the face gently tapping the cheeks and the rest of the face and neck with the flat of your hand. Go all over the face this way three times.

Next hold your ear lobes firmly between thumb and forefinger. Work you way up and around the edge of the ear rubbing your fingers back and forth, then work your way back to the bottom again. Do this 3 times. These points give an overall toning effect to the whole face. Your lips should be relaxed and gently together.

In a similar way to the ear exercise take the bulbous end of the nose and work between your thumb and forefinger (do this gently as this can be a very sensitive area). There are a lot of nerve endings here and this is the acupressure point to energize the face.

Your face should now be feeling warm and fairly relaxed but ready for exercise.

EXERCISES:

Neck and throat – (one of my favorites)
Sit upright, tilt your head back looking at the ceiling, while keeping your lips closed and relaxed. Start puckering your lips together in a kiss and stretch the kiss, as if you were trying to kiss the ceiling. Keep your lips puckered for 10 counts, then relax, bring your head back to its normal position and repeat 5 times.

Lips
Suck on the tip of your index finger, up to the first joint, as hard as you can, slowly pulling it from your mouth. Repeat 10 times.

Forehead
Firm up your brow, place your index fingers on your forehead just above your eyelids and pull them down while trying to raise your eyebrows. Repeat 10 times. On the 10th count, hold it by pulling down your eyebrows and lifting your forehead until you feel the burn and release.

Eyes
Without moving your upper lids, attempt to raise your lower ones. This great defense against crow’s feet is easier said than done. Repeat 10 times.

Neck and throat
Place your hand at the base of your neck and hold. Tilt your head back 35 times while smiling strong (mouth closed). You will feel your neck and chin working.

After doing these, massage your face and neck with upward strokes.
