I have 7 lbs more to drop to one. A good word I learned, that I use for Hailey,when I don't want her to touch anything is, leave it. So now when I open the frig and see that wonderful yummy coffee cake, knowing love sweets, looking at me, I saw leave it and quickly close the door after I get what I need inside.It is good trick if you can get your mind into it.

Well well I don't know about the rest of you but even though I very seldom posted I did what I set out to do and that was drop a dress size. I did do that and more So this challenge is going to continue until the end of the year!

COME ON GUYS AND DOLLS YOU CAN DO THE SAME!

Competition is what makes us better. It is what forces us to be the best that we can be. If I were running in a race and nobody was running next to me, what motivation would I have to run as fast as possible? On the other hand, with competitors, we are compelled to always put our best foot forward and be the best that we can be.

We are 143 members. If we really COMMITTED to up to a pound a week every week for the month of December Do you realize that would be 572 pounds lost this month!!!!!
What kind of record would that be!!!!!!!! Think about it 572 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i walked today but could only do 15 minutes this morning for now With my knee jiggered and swollen I'm limited at the moment.
It's very crisp and cod out here today -30 Celsius but the skies are clear and sunny.

It's supposed to warm up today. I've got quite a few things to get done. If I don't make it to the gym before 5:00, I'll probably try to take a walk outside today.

Unfortunately, my sinuses are not happy and I may have to stay inside.

It's not cold out just snowing with a bit of blowing. I just got back from finishing up my errands and grocery shopping, brought everything in put everything away went back out and shoveled the deck, walks and driveway for the second time today! I love this! EXERCISE AND FRESH AIR!
I'm originally from Northern Ontario; Kenora, Dryden area and am use to worse than this Pus lived in the snow belt in southern Ontario for 23 years and dealt with even worse than Northern Ontario; snow 3/4 of the way up the hydro poles deep! Loved that too!

I'd love a Wii or even a PS3 move controller, sadly though, we really can't afford either! I know hubby's been wanting to get me a move controller and zumba... I'd love it.. but until things get better that's way out of our budget.

I do excercise at home, but mostly to DVDs, I wish I had a treadmill or something.... I keep scouring craigslist for something cheap.

QTL Is there any time during the day where baby is asleep that you could do a 30 minute walking routine just around the house? Like myself today the weather is nasty, I don't have a treadmill but I do have my Wii fit board. So I put on a 30 minute program and did step ups for the length of the program.

right now though the part that kills me is that I'd love too, but it would mean hubby coming home from work, and watching the baby and making dinner while I went walking... I think I might try it for a day or two... maybe do it every other day for a week and see where it gets me?

I put in my 30 minutes and probably more with all the walking I had to do on the job yesterday!
Eat right too! Right on target so far!

The same with today!
Did my 30 minute step up walk using my Wii fit and then I've been doing some major heavy duty cleaning and organizing moving furniture carrying mattresses out to air scrubbing walls floors etc.

Had my Greek yogurt and fruit smoothy for breakfast and a toasted tomato sandwich for lunch .
For dinner I'll have my salad and grilled chicken.
It's a GOOD day!

Forget crunches. For a workout that really flattens your belly, get up and move your feet.

What to do:

6 or 7 days a week: Do one of the Flat Belly Walks, following our pace guidelines, below. If your goal is to whittle your waistline with the bare minimum exercise, follow Plan 1. If you have more time and want to rev up your results, dive into Plan 2. To shed inches all over, go with Plan 3.

3 days a week: Do the 4 Belly Flattening moves. It'll only take about 10 minutes, but you'll see improvement in core strength--vital to helping power through your walks--in a flash. Do 2 sets of each of the given reps 3 days a week.

Find the Right Pace

Use a scale of 1 to 10. It's the best way to determine how hard you should be working, with 1 being very easy and 10 an all-out effort. If you're on a treadmill, try our suggested speeds, but adjust the speed according to your effort level.

Warm-up/cool-down: 2 to 3 (treadmill at 3 mph). You can chat with ease.

Brisk pace: 4 to 5 (3.5 to 3.8 mph). Your breathing is pleasantly harder. Can still talk, but with pauses.

Push pace: 6 to 7 (4 mph). Some huffing and puffing. One- to two-word replies.

Power pace: 8 to 9 (4.2 to 4.5 mph or uphill at 3.5 mph). No talking possible.

3 Flat Belly Walks
Plan 1: Speedy Waist Whittler
Time: 20 minutes a day, 7 days a week

What you'll lose: Up to 1 inch off your belly in 1 month

Start: 5:00 Warm-up
2:00 Brisk pace
5:00 Push pace
5:00 Brisk
3:00 Cool-down
20:00 Finish
Total calories burned: About 100*

Plan 2: Lose-a-Size Tummy Trimmer
What you'll lose: Up to 2 inches off your waist (a pants size) in just a month
Time: 30 minutes, 6 days a week
Start: 5:00 Warm-up
5:00 Brisk pace
5:00 Push pace
10:00 Power pace Repeat minutes 3 through 10 (brisk walk for 3 minutes, push for 5 minutes, power for 2 minutes)
5:00 Cool-down
30:00 Finish
Total calories burned: About 200*

OR YOU CAN REALLY PUSH THE ENVELOPE and DO

Plan 3: Total-Body Fat Blaster
Time: 60 minutes, 6 days a week

What you'll lose: Up to 3 pounds plus inches off your hips, butt, and thighs; add in the healthy eating tips ("5 Food Rules to Live By") and you can lose up to 5 pounds this month

Note: If you're doing this workout indoors on a treadmill, start with a 3% incline for the hills, working up to 5%. If you're outside, try to find a loop with two hills about midway through that will take you about 5 to 6 minutes to climb.
