Today was day two, and boy could I tell I have not been working out for a month now. I got winded so easily today in just ten minutes. My goals this week is to each day to try to do a little more and increase the amount of time that I am working out, so I don't over do it.

Yes day 1 and I did the video as well. I too am not quick with the coordination as Coach Nicole but I did enjoy it very much.

I signed up for the 28 day challenge last week to get into a consistent routine of exercising. I successfully finished my first week, but decided to switch to this challenge. This one looks to be basically the same, but I thought it would be easier to track my progress beginning on the first of the month. Hopefully, by the end of this, I will have made daily exercise a habit.

This is an exciting challenge for me as I have not been motivated like this for months; almost a year since my back surgery and I have gotten lazy. The inches must come off and I am going to the pool 3 times a week no matter what I look like. The water aerobics 3 days a week help my joints and my moods. I even sleep better. The videos on here are super and I can adjust to ones that do me no harm. I am counting calories and eating more fruits and veggies than I have since last summer. I want to walk more each day and walk the dog so he can be my motivator. We will be moving in June and I need to be energized.

Well, finished day 1 today. It went well. Although, I discovered I am not nearly as coordinated as Coach Nicole, nor can I keep up with her. But, all is good! This is exactly what I need. Up the intensity and add some variety! Perfect! I'm looking forward to tomorrow!

Hi all! Seems to be a yardwork theme going on today! I also mowed the lawn, picked up trash, pulled a few weeds (too many to pull in one day!), and trimmed one overgrown bush. I use a push mower to get more exercise and save the envirnment. The video was very hard for me, I had to tone it way down to finish it so I'm going to keep doing it until I get good!

Could someone tell me how to add the weight loss illustration that so many of you are using? I think it could help me with accountability! emoticon

made it through day 1 video. Good thing there wasn't a vodeo camera nearby or I would have made funniest videos. My arms and legs were going in all directions with the punching and kicking. Guess yoga is more my style.

Just finished the first day. :)

My goals for this month, lose 10lb, lose 2 inches off my waist, and 1 inch of my legs.

I picked up a pair of shorts today that I can do up but are very very tight! My goal is to fit into them for June. :)

Good luck everyone! :D

Finished day 1 video and also did yard work. Looking forward to tomorrow's video and cardio in the morning.

Finished day 1 here too. Did the video this afternoon and then went outside to do yard work and pull weeds and raking and stuff. At least it is done, if it wasn't for the challenge, I wouldn't have done it, but it got me moving and exercising so that's great! Go team go!

Day 1 done! I am so glad I started this. I also walked for 15 minutes on the treadmill. Looking forward to day 2. I hope that once I get back into a regular fitness routine that I'll actually be able to keep up with the video. Today I was just a tad slow. Not too bad, though!

Day 1 was ok. Went to my 60 min boxing class and did the day 1 video.
My goal is to start exercising everyday since I'm lazy and tend to put it off, but I managed to get it in today despite the migraine that I'm nursing now.

I'm soooo ready for this. Did day 1 earlier today. Then spent the day outside hauling around brush, planting some things, and other general yard clean up...this was a workout in and of itself. I just posted a blog, including pics (yikes). I'm ready to see changes. I dont want to set number goals because that can be frustrating. But I took measurement and shared my today photos. My ultimate goal for this challenge to is feel better at the end; see those measurements go down; and post pictures that I don't completely hate. I'm really looking forward to this kick in the pants :)

Well I did day one and have stayed within my calorie content for my nutrition tracker. I would love to gain better coordination with my kickboxing and hope that I have at least dropped 10lbs by June 1st. Then maybe I will go to the water park with my daughter. I haven't been in a swim suite in 12 years. For me making time and being committed will be a challenge. However I am really excited to finish this challenge. If I can finish 4 years of college and have a child in between it, I know I can accomplish this challenge. Good Luck and finish to everyone looking for a healthier lifestyle.

I'm getting ready to do the workout but I wanted to share my goals and let everyone know how inspiring they are. Just reading the progress people on Spark have made has me knowing that I can finally do this for myself to have a longer healthier life. I'm hoping doing this challenge will help me lose 10 pounds and 2 inches. Beyond that I want to become more active in preparation for the summer time and a healthier eater. Good luck to everyone.

I restarted the challenge today so I can actually complete it throughout May. I did the little cardio video this morning, and it was a nice warm-up for the more than 4 hours of beach volleyball I played today. I'm hoping to lose 5 lbs by the end of this bootcamp and maybe add some more definition to my arms.

Good luck to everybody! =)

Completed Day 1. Can't believe that I actually broke out in sweat doing this video. Been doing Zumba since beginning of January and never broke out in sweat like I did in just 10 minutes! Amazing! So excited bout this and also doing the 28 days bootcamp. I'm well on my way in losing that 14lbs to get down to 275lbs by the end of month. :)

The 10 minute cardio workout video does get the heart rate elevated nicely. The great thing is that the 10 minutes goes so quickly.

It's a nice stress-reliever when I need a break during the day. Since the 10 minutes go so quickly, I may do it a couple of times a day. It's very similar to the warm-ups we do prior to dance classes.

I'm not big into jumping jacks because I have heart valve problems and repeated jumping elevates my heart rate TOO much. The amount of jumping in this video was fine, though. No problem.

How did everyone do today?

I got through the douration of the kickboxing video with out any problem, even the kicks and the jumping jacks, my biggest challenge was the coordination of the three punch/leg lift sequance. I'm not very coordinated. I know I should be proud that I moved during hte whole video, but this has become my sub goal. To get that sequance down.

Wish me luck.

I did the Day 1 video this afternoon. I had to modify some of the moves, because I am so out of shape! The only exercising I've done lately is to walk and my legs just don't want to lift for as many reps as are required. I'm sure I'll get better. This is going to be a great challenge! For some reason I'm less likely to exercise on my on. Put a challenge in front of me and I'm there! Good luck all!

Today starts my 17th week on SP & I'm loving it. One of my SP friends asked us to join in this challenge & I decided I would since I want to raise my activity level this month. I'm also doing Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred DVD for 30 days & am on day 7 of that. Between these 2 challenges I hope to lose some inches this month (lost 9 1/2 last month) and get into the 140's (7 lbs away) by my birthday next month. If I don't, that's okay; I won't get discouraged or give up. I know I'll get there eventually.

I just finished the kickboxing workout and it went really well. Seemed too short! But its a nice easy start to the week, since Sunday is usually my day off. The scale went down again today, too, so I'm encouraged to keep at it and not miss any days this month. I wish everyone else great success too!

Day 1 completed. I had to modify the jacks and kicks but I kept moving the whole time. It feels great to actually accomplish something. My friend let me borrow her P90X so I'm going to check out the first day on that. I'm not sure if I can do it but I figure I might as well try. It wasn't easy, but I did it. Had to modify as I am really out of shape, but I did the best I could. I'm also a little sore as I spent 90 minutes yesterday getting my vegetables and some flowers planted. I'm ready for my tomatoes. My Swiss Chard is getting almost big enough to eat as is my kale. My cabbage is being eaten so I need to get some organic pest control. I think I have some Brussels sprouts, but I'm not sure when they will be ready.

I just completed day one of week one. I"m confused where to checkmark this, so I'll keep looking. I also walked 5 miles even though technically we weren't supposed to do it today. emoticon I'm leaving for 3 days so I wanted to get a longer walk in today. Also, we're supposed to get more rain, and since there was a break in the weather, I got out there.

I hope to add diversity to my routines. I have 2 of Nicole's DVD's but I've been too intimidated to start! FINALLY, I started today! Now it seems silly that I was so scared to try! ha! Isn't that the way it is!

And I got a NEW swimsuit [size 8--from a size 18] at Sam's a few weeks ago, so I'm excited to do more toning so I won't look like such a saggy 49 year old! ha!

Week One Day One:

I did the 10 minute Kickboxing although Sunday is normally my day off from workouts, and I feel good! My goal for this week is to do every goal of the Challenge so that I can prove to myself that I can move like this again. Plus I want to take off more than 4 lbs. this week!

Good luck to all!

Week One Day one....Rest day, but I did the 1st video and felt pepped up and calm all day...all at the same time...Lunch out...and for the very first time I had a plan and was in controll....that's amazing for me. I had Denny's dinner salad and added a side of 8 broiled shrimp and drank water. I still have a nice supper ahead of me....stuff is working, clicking and I'm inching forward. Esterjane, Live Strong!

Started week one early (due to schedulng) and am sore in places that I haven't been sore in a while. Feels great to get that jumpstart and hoping I can maintain this wonderful trend that I have so far!!
May not be losing weight but it shows in my clothes.....

Completed Day 1 video which I thoroughly enjoyed. My goal for this challenge is to take one day at a time until completion.
