- reaching goal weight and fitness
- sleep management
- menu plan
- housekeeping routines

I know what I should do, I am slack about doing it


- reaching goal weight and fitness - stick to my eating and workout plan
- sleep management - go to bed by 10 pm
- menu plan - spend some time writing down what I already make - start small and make a weekly plan - eventually build some variety into the plan
- housekeeping routines - make a plan - stick to the plan


ē With each of those actions, record that youíve completed them.

While this is a good exercise in exploring what I am doing and what I need to change, I can't keep track of all the changes I have already explored that would make a difference to me reaching my goals. I am going to continue to explore solutions and my 1st course of action is going to be to get enough sleep, 2nd will be my fitness and eating plan, 3rd will be my menu plans and 4th will be my housekeeping routines

So for these 100 days that remain, I will focus on improving sleep and try to maintain and not decline in my other goals

100 More DWL- Day 37 I'm Not Done Yet

ē Identify at least three things or life areas you arenít done with yet.
I'm not done taking care of myself - physically, mentally and emotionally
I'm not done taking care of the other people in my family and for my home
I'm not done managing my weight and exercising as much as I can while I can!

ē Decide on steps you can take today on each of these items.
Written on 10th May so answering questions for that day and yesterday
On Thursday I went to Aqua aerobics (exercising and taking care of myself) - especially loved the 3 sets of high kicks and loving the feeling on my legs the day after
Caring for others - lots of support and reassurance for my MiL (she is feeling especially shaky with the 'fall and her food boot' for her fractured ankle.
Also did some gardening for exercise and my mental health.
ē With each of those actions, record that youíve completed them.

DAY #37 I'M NOT DONE YET - ROUND 2

Reading this lesson fill me with, well, everything - energy, a soring spirit, dedication - just as it did the first time I read it (Round 1 - Just reading about the enthusiasm of the college professor made my spirit soar! Words like SPARKLE, JUMP UP & DOWN, LOVE, ENERGETIC, SPIRITED, DEDICATED. All so POSITIVE! ! ! ).

And the reasons he gave for not being done yet -

1. I'm not done helping.
2. I'm not done learning.
3. I'm not done caring.

I also easily related to the reasons Linda gave -

1. Taking care of myself physically, mentally, and emotionally.
2. Managing my weight through healthy eating and regular exercise.
3. Caring about people in my life.

These reasons felt "right" for how I am feeling too!

Linda asks us to focus on our weight-loss and exercise goals today:

BALANCING LIFE - using my Bullet Journal and Devotional Readings daily to track my commitments and habits helps me to identify areas in my life where I am struggling. I have needed a lot of self-nurturing lately due to stressful events that are out of my control.

WEIGHT LOSS - I have been loosing weight using the Bright Line Eating plan and will continue to follow those guidelines with just a couple of modifications which support intuitive eating. I will also continue to follow my fitness plan for ST and cardio health.

CARING - Sometimes I engage in pity-parties related to my friendships/relationships. Today I am going to contact 2 friends to let them know I care about them.

I'M NOT DONE YET! ! !

Iím not done keeping myself as healthy as possible
**keeping track of cholesterol, blood pressure, etc
**being medication free

Iím not done working on an exercise routine
** keep a schedule of strength training routines
** keep making sure to get my set number of steps every day
**joining challenges when possible

Iím not done planning for time with family, with good friends and with hubby.
**Iím not done yet with doing things I love
**Iím not done quilting, painting and knitting, etc.
**Iím not done traveling and having adventures

Day 37 - Iím not done yet



What are some areas where you arenít done yet? In terms of your weight-loss and exercise goals, think about areas where you would truly say you arenít done yet. Start building your list, then figure out the action steps it will take to continue making progress on those areas.

Today

1. My Journey: SparkPeople has changed my way of thinking about going on a diet and losing weight. Instead of dieting, I have changed my lifestyle and what I choose to eat. This journey has no finish line or end destination but goes on day after day and Iím not done yet! TODAY I continue to live my healthy lifestyle and track my nutrition and fitness.

2. Loose, Wrinkly Skin: After losing 90 pounds, Iím continuing to work on improving my wrinkly, loose skin, especially on abdomen, thighs, and arms. I have been doing muscle toning exercises, following my wrinkly skin plan, and I'm seeing a little improvement...but Iím not done yet! I actually wrote a blog with my plan to deal with this back in 2017:

TODAY was not a Callanetics exercise day, but tomorrow will be. I try to do Callanetics for muscle toning 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).

3. Strength Training & Core Exercises: Iím not done yet! More work to do on my resistance band exercises for strength training and core exercises to tone my entire core, improve my posture, and increase my spinal mobility and flexibility.
TODAY I did resistance band exercises for strength training.

4. Chicken Fat: Iím NOT done yet! I still love exercising occasionally to the Chicken Fat exercises by Robert Preston. I first did these exercises when I was in High School and still love them. Hereís a link for you...enjoy!

TODAY I enjoyed listening to the music, watching the cheerleaders, and remembering moments from years ago.

There are more items I could add to this list. Will keep this in mind and come back to revisit this topic later.

Day 37 I'm Not Done Yet (Tidying-up with Marie Kondo)
Progress ~ * ~ Bags full of stuff have left my home.
Few years ago basement flooded...at the same time we collected memories from Mom's home when she went into assisted living. Marie's method helps sort through the memories.

Day 37 - I'm not done yet.

I'm not ever going to be finished working on a healthier lifestyle, better health, more flexibility, better balance - and - well, ME!

I will remain active on SP, join challenges, work through Linda's 100 Days books. Take walks (even if they're short walks), do stretches and continue with yoga, water walking.

I'm not done enjoying life.
I will continue being an active role in my GC's lives. I will continue to work PT - at least for the foreseeable future. I will look for 'little ways' to enjoy life or make myself happy. This morning I saw a Cardinal in the backyard while I was drinking my coffee in the sunroom. I thought - how gorgeous! It's the little things in life that really make me happy, doesn't have to be big. A new bloom on a plant or tree, fresh/homegrown tomatoes (Wow - that's not little that's major!), homegrown cantaloupe, a soft/gentle rain . . .

I'm not done creating a less stressful life.
I need to take more time just for ME, only ME. Spend more time with friends. Read. Draw. Paint again. It's been several years but I love it and it's calming. I will find ways to overcome the times I feel depressed when thinking of the son I lost. Meditation.

It was great to re-visit this list from when we went through the book for the first time!

I'm not done losing fat/excess body weight
- today I will stick to my meal plan and do my exercises - YES, I will continue with this!

I'm not done with working towards a 11mile trail-run - YES! I've recently done 12 miles!
I am still working on cross-training - get my bicycle sorted, and swim occasionally

I'm not done with Aruyveda
- today I am eating foods from the seasonal list. I also began my day with a green tea instead of coffee - YES! Still having to remind myself about the green tea - have packed a t-bag for work

Day 37 - I'm not done yet.

I'm not done losing weight.
I will learn to eat healthier; cook at home more; and track my food.

I'm not done enjoying life.
I will say "yes" more often to opportunities and adventures. I will get in better shape so I can do more. This means exercising daily.

I'm not done creating a less stressful life.
I will look into options for health insurance so I can retire. I will find ways to have a "Let It Go" attitude. I will learn relaxation techniques and nurture myself.

--This lesson really makes me think. Lately I've had a feeling of being so old (65!), and that the best part of my life is behind me, and it's all downhill from here. That's not all the time, but just sometimes those gloomy feelings hit and it's not somewhere I want to dwell for too long. Just thinking about things I'm not done with yet made me realize that that pertains to just about every aspect of my life. Even if I have been able to achieve more than I thought I could on certain things, why not keep on tweaking them trying to be better and better? emoticon

Bottom line is that I can continue to be curious about the world around me and trying to be the best I can be.

I'm not done yet with removing my excess pounds. I'm not done yet with reconditioning my body with exercise and rebuilding stamina. I'm not done yet with learning, reading and writing. I have a book in me, just waiting to get out.

Steps I can take today regarding the excess pounds: I follow a pre-planned menu, stay hydrated, get enough rest, take my prescriptions and stay within a caloric range appropriate to get rid of weight. I am a member of two Summer Challenges that help me stay accountable.

Today I worked out aerobically and also did strength training with light weights. I'm getting stronger every day. I have to do periodic pep talks because of excess skin that is abundant from being so morbidly obese. I know it's something I'll deal with and am doing my best to love my body as it is. I smooth on lotion and take care of the area of lymphedema in my left arm the best I can.

Today I am reading two books that have reviews due for NetGalley. I love to read and learn. I enjoy handcrafting greeting cards and want to get back to doing it regularly. I need to put order in my office. I'm always researching something on the internet. My primary focus has been removing negative thinking. I'll post a blog on that today.

I'm not done yet. In fact, now that I am retired I almost feel like I've just started. I'm not done challenging myself with new goals, being a better wife, mother, friend, learning new things, hoping to share encouragement and passion for a fit and healthy lifestyle, my trust in the Lord, making water aerobics classes fun with lively, fast music and silly jokes.

I guess I not done yet with anything........my list is endless....I want to improve and enjoy everything......spend more time making people feel good about themselves......Iím not done telling my family how much I appreciate them........Iím not done enjoying life!

Everyday I will try to do what I need to do to be healthy. Thanks to 100 days I have the tools.

Sue, I totally agree with you. The college professor has me so excited and positive.

1. I'm not done working on a healthier lifestyle. So I will continue to eat healthy and keep moving, as well as moving a little more each day.

2. I'm not done enjoying life and experiencing it with my GC!! No way. I will continue to set a good example for them and cherish every moment we share. (This requires my healthier lifestyle)

3. I'm not done yet with art. I want to continue to draw, to be creative, to journal. I want to look at something and smile "I did that!" emoticon

I love this guy and I don't even know him!

Linda asks us to focus on our weight-loss and exercise goals today. Well,

1. I'm not done loosing weight. Today I will eat healthy and stay within my calorie range.
2. I'm not strong enough. Today I will be doing landscape gardening at my DD's which will
involve digging some holes to transplant shrubbery.
3. I'm not done learning what will lead me to be the best version of myself. Today I have
already read an article about Product Goals vs. Process Goals and watched a
fitness video on Pilates for Core Strength.

There are many more areas in my life that I can apply this concept to.

I'M NOT DONE YET! ! !
