I don't always join challenges, but am currently part of a maintenance weight challenge (currently in it's 8th week, so I think it's almost done.) Actually, they're about to start another challenge & I had just decided that I wasn't going to do it. LOL. I'm open for joining challenges, from time to time....just didn't want to start the same kind that I just ended. Call me fickle.

There are other types of challenges, like encouraging others by commenting on team members blogs, sending SP goodies once a day..things like that.

In the meantime, life gets busy & I'm not always consistent with my board postings....not good with keeping up with some of the team conversations.

As I have just started BLC to-day and am a bit overwhelmed by all the forms and posting I think it would be too much of a commitment for me but if you do one in a couple of months I would love to join in

Hello ladies, I know my post are far and few between. I am in a few other challenges on facebook and My Challenge app. I don't do week weigh in, I don't weigh in at all. :D I do measurements. I find measuring is better for me. I don't live by my phone and I don't live by the scales. :D
BUT if you do a challenge let me know I would be happy to join another one.

I have workout I do at home, and I eat VERY healthy. So if any of you have questions I would love to help you out. I am now down to my last 5 lbs!!!! woo hoot

Cat, we're all at different stages but at every stage my formula:
COMMITMENT - CONSISTENCY - ACCOUNTABILITY , works for me. When I'm struggling, making myself ACCOUNTABLE gives me the push I need. But finding I didn't want to blog about it I've made myself accountable to my friends through my friend feed since last fall. I have about a dozen consistent followers and it really helps. Many already from this team. The same thing could be done here for the team--even on this thread to keep it separate from "how are you?". Simply state what it is you are going to do, and report in a time of your choosing: daily, weekly, once a month? I found daily tedious and unreliable so chose once a week on Wed. Those of us that can will jump in with encouragement and possibly share helpful experiences that relate. Borrowed from NANHBH's blog today:

I don't think any of us are looking for more time on the computer but this is relatively easy and completely voluntary; no deadlines unless you set them for yourself and no competition. I'm one that competition doesn't work for.

Just as I thought. Those that want to be challenged are already doing so and that is great. Sometimes I wonder if this team wants more than is currently presented and this was a test of that water.
I for one am not much for these group challenges but thought perhaps some peer pressure might help me drop 10 lbs. But in my heart I know that the only peer pressure I need is the mirror!!
Good luck to you all.

Cat I am doing 3 other challenges but if this team is interested and you need the extra challenger I will most certainly join. Challenges are great.

I am running a monthly weight loss challenge in one of my other teams right now. We started on the first of January. I think weekly weigh ins are great or even daily or weekly challenges of any type.

I would be willing to post weekly weigh ins and weight as well as pounds gained or lost. As for as the activities; I do what I can and some days I can't. On those days I have to tighten up on calories.

Is there something we would like to do as a team? I will gladly take suggestions and if enough people want to lose X amount of weight or inches I would be glad to set up something.
Any suggestion?
Weekly weigh-ins, inches, steps walked, bicycled, run, workouts completed, etc?
