This has been a great week. Did my aerobics class Mon. Wed and Fri. Thurs did my Zumba gold and half an hour of chair Yoga. Fri. I stuck around and did 20 mins on the stationary bicycle. Today I dug my wii fit plus out and did 62 mins on there. Since it takes so long in between each exercise I also would walk around the room just so I was moving the whole time. I start out with yoga for 30, then some strength training for 15 and then another 17 on aerobics. I always make sure I do the hula hoop which is 7 mins of an intense work out. (Well atleast for me anyway.) I plan on working on the Bowflex machine after supper. I had also done that on thurs evening after pigging out on Mexican food. lol. I am trying to track my food every day also but have been busy running to the hosp. for my honey's mother and haven't had a whole lot of time to get every thing done that I need to in a day. The past two days stayed home and accomplished the things that need to be done. My veggies and fruits are also getting eaten and was going to do my dance video for my wii until my honey decided to rest on the couch. Maybe tomorrow. Take care all you fellow sparkers and see you on week 4. emoticon

Finished week 3!! emoticon Better this week than last!

Apparently I did forget to add the Pilates video in on the day I did it. I could not find it in the tracker doing a search so I could go back and add it. I found all the other videos, so I just had to add it to today instead.

Hey JumpStarters. Week 3 is almost over. I'm doing two Jump Start videos a day and 45 minutes on the treadmill. Eating lots of veggies. And trying not to "snack" after 9pm. ConGrats To ALL who want to be Healthier. We ARE SO Worth It!!

I am still battling a cold received more meds from dr, despite that I have been keeping up with the 10min in the morning. My evening exercise has not worked out quite yet, but am hopeful for next week (my new tennis shoes have arrived) :) . I also have worked on a few other goals this week with nutrition habits. Cheers to all who have worked hard!

I don't think I've had this many fitness minutes in a month in years! I'm still going strong despite hurting my ankle a little bit yesterday. Just making my cardio less intense to go easier on it. Feeling great though, and can't wait for week 4!

Week 3 done. I finished all the videos and added 2 minute run/jog intervals to my 30 minute walks on the treadmill. I only did 4 days of cardio because I donated blood midweek and didn't feel like passing out on the treadmill that day. I increased the time of a couple of workouts to get all my cardio minutes though. I also met the fruit and veggie goal this week. I'm still working on a plan for after the challenge. I know it will include training for a 5k. I just need to work on a nutrition plan and work on a schedule to include strength training in my fitness routine.

Yes last day week 3, missed last night. all the kids were home for dinner for a change so we had a lovely bottle of wine and a great laugh. knew i would not be able for day 7 so i picked an upper body and lower body video after i came in from shoveling snow for 1 hour. if i didn't do it now would be to sore later to exercise. the arm exercises really helped me shoveling. was really happy with the amount i shoveled before i came in. enjoy your saturday and stay warm. emoticon

To eightisn'tenough: I hear ya. My honey is skinny and insists he doesn't need it but he is sure quick with the snide remarks. Joining the gym was the best thing I could have done. Actually he used to have nice muscle tone but now he got nothing. Working out would benefit him and he would know how strenuous it is for me. Therefore maybe he wouldn't be so inconsiderate therefore not so negative. He isn't the only one, his Mom tends to send out the negativity too but not as bad. Keep up the good work hon. We will succeed. emoticon

Week 3 is done! I have not lost a lot of weight since the beginning of this challenge - about 2 pounds, but I can definitely feel the difference. My muscles are firmer and I am much stronger on round three of these videos. I love these short workouts!!! Thanks Nicole, thanks SparkPeople, thanks Spark Friends! Week 3 completed. Workout video was done every morning right after a light breakfast. This became and still is a part of my daily morning routine. I feel much better heading off to work after this was accomplished. It felt like I worked out all the kinks in the joints and cleared out cobwebs from the brain for better performance throughout my day. Looking back on the 3 weeks, I would say this was/is a successful part of my plan for better health.

This week I was not so successful in completing. I developed a really bad muscle spasm in my neck and have been unable to move it since last Saturday. I someone managed to complete last Sunday's cardio video, but I haven't been able to do anything more until today. I ended up having to get a Novocaine injection in my trapezius muscle to calm the spasm. I will have to repeat week 3 again at some point, but will move on to week 4 beginning tomorrow. I am so disgusted because I was doing so well emoticon

Read the articles, did the 7 days of videos along with the two bonus videos ! Increased my cardio by doing more shoveling of snow. Logged in meals for a few days. It does surpise me that I'm holding steady with the calories. This has been a great challenge to go with my new food plan. Looking forward to week 4. Good luck to every one who is working the challenge !

This week has been difficult for me. I came down with a horrible head cold in the middle of the week. Fortunately, I did alot of cardio early in the week so I just had to finish the 10 minute videos. I tracked most days, except yesterday. I have been downing lots of water and it seems to be helping. I am starting to feel better so hopefully next week will be easier.

Hello EIGHTISNTENOUGH. I saw your post and realized that many people do not realize how much it hurts when they sabatoge your efforts to be healthier. Especially your loved ones. It took me at least 3/4 of a year into mine that they finally realized that wife/mom is losing this regardless of my efforts and jokes about getting too thin (I'm not even at goal yet, but just a couple of pounds away!) but through it all, I had my SP friends and my lovely daughter who actually wanted to lose after the birth of her baby and together we have done this. Encouraging, kicking each other in the butt when needed, and always there to lend an ear.
Today I started with my Billy Blanks Tae-Bo workout, then did the Day 20 core workout, and now onto a healthy breakfast!
Here we go into our 4th week and know we can do this together! :) way to go!

Just did Saturday's Core Workout (7th video). I think I'm going to go "hike" the stairs in a few minutes for my cardio - even though I'll be finishing up my closet today....

For Fridays cardio I literally cleared out my entire walk-in closet until it was empty, then started putting things back in BUT with a twist ... allllll clothing had to be tried on and put in different piles or if it fit and looked good it was put up properly. I still have some to do today but it felt really cleansing to do this! AND I worked up a sweat!! ... plus we "threw out" enough clothes to fill an entire garden tub (that's where I was tossing clothing I was getting rid of)!!! (I made DH go through his clothes, too, when he got home!)

Though I have to say I was moderately disappointed in yesterday as well. I planned my breakfast, lunch, and snacks around a particular restaurant we were taking our DD17 before she heads off to Italy. At the *last minute* DH takes us somewhere else :( I wanted to cry because while similar dishes the calorie counts are different and I didn't have a way to checking ahead of time to find out what I could order :( Though I did feel good about drinking an entire pot of mild, unsweetened green tea. I was afraid it was going to keep me up but I went home and crashed!

Anyway, no one really understands my weight loss journey ... if I tell them this is what I'm doing, it seems like they go out of their way to sabotage me, but when I don't tell them and just go off doing my own thing they don't exhibit the same behaviors to sabotage me. So I couldn't pipe up and say anything :( But I knew I could vent it out here and be done with it ... without the sabotage!

I felt like I dragged a bit this week, but still did all the videos and cardio. Being part of the challenge for some reason motivated me to stick with the morning videos when normally I have trouble exercising in the morning. I have to admit that getting moving in the AM does energize me for the day!

Haven't worked out in 3 days. A bout of stomach flu hit our house. Had all intentions of working out on Thursday...was AT THE GYM with the kids when my son started projectile vomiting so needless to say no workout that day. I was out of commision yesterday. May be a few days late finishing week 3. Not happy that I broke my streak emoticon

Getting back in the swing the last few days. Lost my momentum there... Restarted the 5k Your Way Walking program yesterday. Felt great! Was starting to have trouble falling asleep, but I think it's because I wasn't moving enough during the day. Did okay last night.

If you can’t be a good example, then you’ll just have to be a horrible warning.

Hey guys! Don't give up just yet! Only one more week to go! I feel bad for not posting much this week, just been busy with school and car issues - ugh! But, I have been doing my exercises and sticking to my plan! yay! Can't believe week three is over today... let's finish this last week strong!!!

Made it thru this weeks videos plus added a couple of extra Core videos Crunchless Core & Pilates Abs)... which I'll repeat again tomorrow. All done except I'm a bit behind on the cardio. Partially because I pulled back on cardio early in the week to rest up as I'd done a major (for me) cardio effort last week. Now I need to ramp up the cardio again.
Fortunately (?) Mother Nature is helping on that score as I've got several hours of snow shoveling to do to finish off the week, just me and my little shovel.

Just can't seem to find the motivation, 1st week okay, 2nd week a little behind but this week the only cardio is kickboxing 3x a week, having difficulty finding energy and trime just to do required video each day. Did nothing on Sunday, not well on Tuesday and missed video, barely made today, 11:40 p.m. Much too late to be doing exercise. Haven't lost a pound and very discouraged. Tomorrow I know my cardio will be shovelling snow.

Week 3 Day 5: Worked until 7:30!!! Really wanted to go for a walk/run when I got home, but it was too dark. Instead I did a few different videos: cardio kickboxing, intervals and quick start, in addition to the regular video. I got my freggies in too!

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Today was Day 18 of my Supreme 90 Day rotation, and the workout was Tabata Inferno. Am still hoping to squeeze in my Spark Boot Camp workout for today but if I run out of time tonight I'll double up tomorrow.
