I am cancelling this group as I get weekly emails from home storage solutions 101, so too much to do both. I will continue with them on next years challenge.

I signed up for the 52 weeks, everything related to clothes I did last week before signing up & I do not have kids, so will be less for me, because I have no kids, garage etc. by the end of this month, 8 weeks total I will have 6 months done.

The same thing happens to me but I am really trying to change that this time. Doing okay so far although my office that I'm cleaning out is spread out in the living room at the moment...

I did this program last year and decided to follow it this year. However, I almost never have to "re-do" my tasks. Once decluttered and cleaned and organized, it stayed that way and I kept it that way. But - seldom was it done in 15 minutes. Cleaning my makeup drawer has to be done again, and it will take closer to an hour (and I seldom wear makeup! What's wrong with that???).

I used this program last year, and am using it again for the things that need more work or re-done. It made a big difference. Friday night my daughter noticed a cleaned up "catch all" site, but did not realize I had moved the dresser that the junk piles were on and put a different dresser in that spot with a beautiful lamp and picture, and put away the junk. That's how cluttered sites affect us-we don't see them anymore.

Wow 52wks is a really good website! Not sure I can do any of those things in 15 minutes though! But it's a good thing to read for ideas. I'm going to start doing 5 hours cleaning (starting upstairs) on Fridays and 5 hours (starting downstairs) on Mondays and would like to check in here if that's ok with you all? I can check through the 52wks site and add to my to do list at the same time. 2016 is my year for this! I'll be starting Friday as hoping to be fully well again by then!

Oh and I want to spend time on "projects" on Thursdays.

Thank you so much for the link to the site and printing out the January list.
I have joined the site and I have done day 1 and day 3 (using the free download of check box lists on the site for daily and weekly chores for the different rooms. I will print them out today and put in plastic sleeves and then post them in the appropriate room to help wake myself and my family up so we know what is expected of us each day/week in that area.

I am reading the articles on setting up a household journal. Most of these things, like phone numbers, are on our calendars/phones and the tasks will be posted on walls in the various rooms. I keep my email passwords in our fire-proof box. I do need to print out an updated list and get the rest of the family to do the same.

I'm ready to finally follow through on this journey this year to a happy, open, mellow home. (No more panic attacks when items go missing!)

Yes, I'm setting up to start working on my 2016 goals, and this will be something to consider. So far, I've not been very good with consistency, but with a list like this even if I only do part of it each month I will be soooo much further ahead than I am now!

I found this website that has a week by week challenge to organize the home. This looks like this has some really good ideas, not just the week by week challenge.
