I love scary movies but have not watched any this season. I usually like to watch the Scream trilogy but I am so busy with parties and such not sure that I will have time to watch any movies. My favorite is the original Halloween! I love that movie so much. I should rewatch Arsenic and Old Lace. It has been a long time since I have seen that movie.

My 2014 Halloween movie watch list:
So far, I've watched...
Frankenstein
Something Wicked This Way Comes
The Ring
Paranormal Activity (the original movie)
Poltergeist
Signs
Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein
Psycho

Still waiting for Friday (Halloween) to watch my tradition of Arsenic & Old Lace and then "Halloween" (the original one, not that awful Rob Zombie remake.)

I also have pulled (but not sure if I will have time for):
The Covenant (cute boys, bad movie)
The Others
Ichabod Crane/Sleepy Hallow (Disney version)
Blair Witch

Slow, but sure.

Arsenic and Old Lace is a classic. I have had a tradition to go out to a fancy restaurant that I have never been to before on Halloween night. That way I am not home for the trick or treaters, haha. I do not need candy in the house anyway. I love Halloween. I am trying to think of some costumes to do. I was thinking of Honey Boo Boo's mama or there is this Korean rapper called Psy who has a viral video now.

I have a ritual on Halloween Night while handing out trick or treats (on week-nights). I start with watching "Arsenic and Old Lace" while having a glass of Elderberry Wine (watch the movie to understand why). Then I move on to dinner with "Poltergeist". And, I end my evening with the original "Halloween". If Halloween falls on a Friday or Saturday night, I usually skip one of the movies and go out after Trick/Treat is done.

This year, I am hoping to do my Trick/Treat 5K right after work (weather permitting) then get home for the handing out of the candy and some "arsenic/old lace".

Other favorite movies for October:
Psycho (the original version)
Abbott and Constello meet Frankenstein (just watched it last night)
Bride of Frankenstein
Twilight Zone the movie
It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (how can you go wrong?)
American Werewolf in Paris
Monster House (animated movie)
Nightmare on Elm Street (any/all of them)

And the scariest movie of all....
Showgirls (just kidding...I've actually never seen it.)

The original Halloween is one of my all time favorites. I also like When a Stranger Calls and Dressed to Kill as Thrillers, they are not so much horror movies. I also really like the Scream movies, they are good horror movies with a comedic twist. Last year, I saw Cabin in the Woods. I thought it was phenomenal. I recommend watching it without reading or listening to anyone tell you anything about it. This is my favorite time of year. I used to take the day off after Halloween and stay up late and watch movies and eat popcorn and candy and drink Coke. I now use my days to travel. I miss the movie watching. Let's hang out on the couch and watch scary movies! emoticon
