BUMP! Let's get this forum going again. Aim to log your fitness for a week straight. That is a mini goal that is very achievable. If not on here, click
MY TOOLS
MY FITNESS

You can use the Quick Track function, or get into more detail further down the page by logging your cardio minutes and/or strength training exercises.

**********
QuickTrack is a tool that lets you track three things each day:

How many servings of fruits and vegetable you eat
How many cups of water you drink
How many minutes you exercise

QuickTrack is perfect for people who want to monitor these basic nutrition and fitness goals without spending a lot of time tracking details. Therefore, we recommend that members use either the QuickTrack tools or the full Nutrition and Fitness Trackers. Some members may decide to use QuickTrack if they feel like they no longer need the in-depth functionality of the Nutrition and Fitness Trackers. Other members may decide to only use QuickTrack from the start. (You can always easily "Show" or "Hide" QuickTrack, based on your preferences, by clicking on the appropriate button on the upper right side of the QuickTrack heading.)

If you choose to utilize both the QuickTrack and the Nutrition and Fitness Trackers, please note that these two features do not affect or communicate with one another. For example, if you add an apple to your Nutrition Tracker or cardio to your Fitness Tracker, your QuickTrack will not reflect these changes (and vice versa).

Members will earn SparkPoints each day no matter which tracking tools they use—up to five points for tracking food, up to 24 points for tracking exercise minutes, and up to five points daily for drinking water.

I am focusing on the bigger picture. enhancing my lifestyle and helping others to do the same.

I did 15 minutes on the stationary bike, plus my hour long class last night.

I don't think my minutes are counting in SparkAmerica -- at least I couldn't find myself in November standings. Am I missing something?

I've been using my gazelle everyday for at least 2 miles, and walking my dog everynight. I'm keeping track of my food and I'm gaining weight.... What's going on :(

I didn't do any formal exercise over the weekend, but did 2 hours of hard yard work, which I figure counts! Also have my exercise class tonight, with special cardio beforehand.

I often walk alone because it is hard to coordinate schedules with other people. But sometimes I walk or bike with a friend. You are right it is much better with another person. You can talk and the time passes more quickly and you can go further as well. On the other hand I have a small radio and earphones that I can listen to programs on, or music.

Lynda, You are dedicated to work at home. I don't have the discipline. Today's workout was HARD. I felt weaker and sore. I'm afraid I'm going to break my routine for two weeks. I'm taking weights camping but I know me. . . no discipline. Will you keep me accountable for working out while I'm gone? I'll give you a report when I get back.

The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph!

N2LIFE, it sounds like you're going to have a wonderful vacation! I love camping!!

And congratulations on finding a trainer and doing strength training. I know that in the past that has been tremendously beneficial to me.

For now I am working at home with resistance bands and walking on my treadmill.

Found a trainer and am doing strength twice a week at the club. Started Tuesday and have my next session today. Yesterday, I cycled 12 miles on the canal. Getting ready to go on vacation for two weeks. We'll be camping on the Rim. I'm taking a road bike, mountain bike, and weights. Also my hiking shoes! See you all in a couple of weeks.

The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph!

I walked on my treadmill for 30 minutes last night and then worked with my fitness bands for some resisitance training. After that I did some stretching and hit the hot tub...I was sore this morning. I can't imagine what it would have been like without the hot tub!

I'll be back at it tonight. I want to work up to at least an hour a day.

Need some accountability in my exercise so thought I would join in here. Today I bicycled on the canal for 15 miles (1hr 17 min) at a pace of 11.6 mph. Cycling is the easiest for me because I do it with my sister. Now I need to be more accountable for other exercise like walking my dog and strength training. I am a member at LA Fitness but I almost never go. Anyone else a member and want to meet me there? I'm in Central Phx.

The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph!

5 minute warmup on treadmill, 30 minutes on elyptical and 5 minutes cool down on treadmill.

Working on cardio endurance. Today was the first day I was able to complete 30 minutes on elyptical.

Unless we take a chance or two in order to begin,
There's nothing we can hope to gain, no prize that we can win,
We must accept uncertainty, must set our doubts aside,
Be brave enough to risk a loss or setback to our pride,
We should not be afraid of change, nor be afraid to dare--
If we just take a chance, life holds rewards beyond compare.

I'll be doing 45 minutes of Turbo Jam and at least 15 minutes of frisbee with the dogs outside as soon as the sun begins to set. I love Turbo Jam!

I am ambitious today- I am going to try for a 50-60 min walk. Maybe mix in some jogging. There is no way to avoid those calf cramps, though, even though I stretch a lot. They can immobilize for days when they happen.

I'm going to the workout room in my apartment complex and see if i can't beat my record of running/jogging 25 minutes straight, plus will probably do 20 minutes on the ellyptical for warm up.
