I've noticed that one of my biggest problems trying to stay healthy right now is the uncontrollable urge to stuff my face when I'm tied to my desk writing papers or proposals. If I'm up and active, working in the lab, it's relatively easy to keep my food habits under control. But I'm going to spend the next couple of weeks doing a lot of reading and writing, and it's hard not to snack mindlessly when you spend 8 or 10 hours sitting in one place just thinking and thinking and thinking.

So, how do you cope? What is the secret to surviving long bouts of writing without succumbing to the craving monster? How do you all stay healthy when it's serious writing time?
