I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN WHEN IT COMES TO GOING OUT TO EAT AT A RESTAURANT..... IT'S HARD TO FIND FOOD THAT ISN'T REALLY HIGH IN CALORIES..... PLUS WHEN I DO GO OUT IT'S NOT OFTEN...... SO I USUALLY EAT FOOD I SHOULD NOT BE EATING...... GREAT TO HEAR YOUR DOING SO GOOD WITH YOUR EXERCISE AND EATING...... I'M STILL NOT DOING VERY GOOD....... BUT LUCKILY I'M NOT GAINING ANY WEIGHT........ WELL AT LEAST I HOPE I'M NOT....... NO SCALE IN THIS HOUSE....... I GO BY HOW MY CLOSE FIT...... AND SO FAR NOTHING IS TIGHT........ WELL MY FRIEND WE WILL STICK WITH IT AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD.....

WENT OUT WITH FRIENDS TO A NEW RESTAURANT FOR SUPPER ON SUNDAY. UNFORTUNATELY THERE WAS NOT MUCH ON THE MENU THAT WAS LOW IN CALORIES AND I ENDED UP HAVING MUSHROOM FETTUCINI. IT WAS DELICIOUS BUT I'M SURE THE SAUCE ALONE MUST HAVE HAD HUNDREDS OF CALORIES. BUT I DID NOT HAVE DESSERT. I WILL HAVE TO WORK EXTRA HARD AT GETTING THAT BACK DOWN. I HAVE BEEN DOING REALLY WELL FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS FINALLY STARTING TO LOSE A FEW POUNDS SO I DON'T WANT TO GAIN BACK WHAT I HAVE MANAGED TO LOSE. I DON'T THINK I COULD LIVE WITHOUT MY SCALE. I WOULD BE AFRAID MY WEIGHT WOULD JUST KEEP GOING UP, UP, UP BEFORE I REAIZED IT.

YES OUR THANKSGIVING DINNER WAS GREAT...... I HAD LOTS OF LEFTOVERS WE'RE STILL EATING...... BUT TONIGHT I DECIDED ON DOING SOME PORK CHOPS WITH MASHED POTATOES..... PEAS...... AND MUSHROOM GRAVY.....NOW THAT I ALWAYS HAVE LEFTOVERS I DON'T OVER EAT CAUSE I KNOW I CAN HAVE MORE THE NEXT DAY.... I'M SURE I'VE GAINED SOME WEIGHT BUT I'M GLAD I THROUGH THE SCALE OUT...... THAT WAY I DON'T GET SO UPSET WHEN I SEE I'VE GAINED......... HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT WEEK.......

Had my Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. I enjoyed mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing and pumpkin pie with real whipped cream along with the basics like turkey & carrots. The things I did NOT have were second helpings and dinner rolls. I know it will have put my weight up but I WILL get it back down again.

I HEAR YOU ABOUT THANKSGIVING BEING A CHALLENGE......... EVEN THOUGH IT'S JUST ME AND DOUG AND THE DOGS I WILL STILL BE COOKING MY BIG BONELESS TURKEY....... IT HAS THE STUFFING ALREADY IN IT WHEN I BUY IT....... AND I HAVE TO MAKE MORE STUFFING...... I THINK I WILL DO ROASTED POTATOES..... LESS CALORIES THAN THE MASHED........ STILL HANGING IN. THANKSGIVING WILL BE A CHALLENGE. THERE WILL BE JUST THE TWO OF US BUT MY DD COOKED A PUMPKIN AND BROUGHT ME SOME TO MAKE A PIE AND SHE IS ALSO MAKING HOMEMADE CRANBERRY SAUCE FOR US. DH WOULD LIKE TURKEY BUT MAY HAVE TO SETTLE FOR JUST A NICE ROASTING CHICKEN. GUESS I WILL JUST HAVE TO BE VERY CAREUL ABOUT PORTIONS. DD AND HER HUBBY ARE GOING TO NIAGARA FALLS FOR THE WEEKEND.

HI SHERRE - THANK YOU FOR THE GOODIES. I HAD A GREAT MONTH IN SEPTEMBER. I AM DOWN 7 POUNDS FOR THE MONTH AND VERY HAPPY ABOUT IT. I AM DOING MY BEST TO KEEP THE STREAK GOING. I REALLY WANT TO LOSE ANOTHER 6 POUNDS BY THE END OF THE YEAR. I THINK I CAN DO IT IF I STICK TO MY EATING PLAN AND MAYBE INCREASE THE EXERCISE A BIT AS WELL. WE SHALL SEE.

TEE - YOU HAVE A GOOD PLAN AS WELL. HANG IN THERE.

My October challenge will be:

1) eat three meals daily. I have been skipping one meal daily.

2) go to bed early.

3) take bags to thrift store.

4) only one treat per week.

5) Walk on work days. I swim four times a week, and sit too much on work days.

6) finish knitting scarves for charity

7) get rid of paper clutter

8) clean out desk file

9) install new computer keyboard

10) watch tv at night instead of computer work

MY OCTOBER CHALLENGE WILL BE VERY SIMILAR TO SEPTEMBER
1 . I HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL AT KEEPING MY CALORIES BETWEEN 1,000 & 1,200 SO I WILL CONTINUE FOR OCTOBER
2. I WILL CONTINUE WITH LO CARB CHOICES
3. NO SNACKS JUST WATER, TEA & C0FFEE
4. I HAVE FALLEN DOWN ON EXERCISE SINCE I WAS SICK SO I WILL DO MY BEST TO DO AT LEAST 10 MINUTES - 3 TIMES A WEEK.
5. MINIMUM 2 HOURS A WEEK ON MY SEWING PROJECTS. HAVEN'T DONE MUCH ON THIS SO FAR.
6. MINIMUM 30 MINUTES A DAY CLEANING OUT THE OFFICE. MUST GET WORKING ON THIS ONE AS WELL
7. OUTSIDE WORK IS MOSTLY FINISHED NOW SO WILL CONCENTRATE MORE ON OFFICE & SEWING.
