Only shopping three times, and not buying any meat sure helps!

Mine came to $65.12. Pretty hard to believe! I'll be making up for not shopping last week when I go tomorrow.

My final total is $233.66. I'm pretty happy with that, considering I had a free for all trip of unnecessary crap!

Went to Walmart yesterday to pick up some Rx, and had to wait about 10 minutes while they filled one of them. And I stayed out of the grocery aisles! Not real easy to do, but I did it. So no spending on food yesterday, and I won't spend anything today. But, boy, is my grocery list for tomorrow ever long! Mostly veggies again. I used up several kinds of veggies, and will use up two or three more today. I think I was down to just 10 kinds of veggies in the fridge, and will probably finish up 3 more today. For some reason I'm not real comfortable using something up before I replace it, but I guess that's the smart thing to do with fresh veggies.

emoticon I've definitely been way over that before! But this time, problem was solved by a Walmart gift card I forgot I had! So only $7 over still and I won't shop again until next week.

I did it. Got out of the store with nothing for me. Well, almost. Mom wanted chicken livers and wanted to split the package, so we did. A little less than $1, which is offset by the bacon from my freezer that I "sold" her.

I'm not planning to get anything else this month (next Sunday is next month), which leaves me at about $80 for the month! I can see the difference in my freezers, too.

LOL, go for it!

I'm up to $310, $36 of it convenience food (or crap, like the girl scout cookies I bought and ate yesterday). $16 of it was three packs of chicken thighs, each of which is 10 thighs (or 5 meals). So that's next month's food and going over my $300 goal is not a bad thing.

Not much in the way of good sales this week. Whole chickens are on sale for 59 cents a pound, which is a really good price, but I have various chicken parts in the freezer, and when it comes to whole chickens, I'd rather get them from Costco! They're so good from there. I really can't think of anything I need this week.

I was looking in my fridge for something, and found a zucchini and a cucumber that I'd forgotten about. They're still good - just got them last Sunday. It inspired me to take a veggie inventory. I have SEVENTEEN kinds of fresh veggies in the fridge, NINE kinds of veggies in the freezer, and three kinds of squash on the counter. There's some overlap (both fresh and frozen broccoli, for example), but that's well over different kinds of veggies! Red bell peppers are 88 cents each at one store this week, but I decided I could do without them. Over TWENTY kinds of veggies!

That's a good price for berries! The B1G1 berry sale I was going to stock up on didn't pan out. They were marked up to $5.99 each, so it wasn't a good deal.

Good job cutting the fast food! That's not bad for a lot of meat.

I'm up to $128, but only $9 of that is fast food, so I'm happy. Most of the real food is meat, couple big packages of chicken thighs, and $17 for a chuck roast (6 meals portioned out from that), and 3 packages of sausages at $5 each. I also stocked up on the pepperoni and salami I use for my pizza wraps, as they're often not on the shelf when I run out.

A little heavy for week 1, but not too bad.

Good job! I am up to $22.24, and I believe I have everything I need for meals. I'm going to take advantage of some produce sales though. $1.49/head for cauliflower, $1.99 strawberries, and buy 1 get 1 free other berries. I'll see when I get there if it's worth stocking up or not. Sometimes I just leave if stuff doesn't look good. It's not my preferred store.

$8.71 today, all for produce, including two bunches of big fat asparagus. One is for Valentine's Day, when Mom will be coming over. Still need to get broccoli (from a different store), though I may not get around to getting it. And may need to get something for Valentine's Day dinner, though I'm leaning towards pork chops, asparagus, and a salad of some sort. Probably berries for dessert. I don't eat sugar and Mom can't eat artificial sweeteners, so we're kind of limited in that area.

Oh, and today's shopping takes me to $30 for the first two weeks!

I had to go to Wegmans to buy cat food and paper products, and came out without buying anything else except a $.99 bunch of scallions for eggroll in a bowl!! emoticon Aldi has chicken leg quarters for $.49/# but I looked at Walmart app and I would only be saving $1 per 10# bag, so it's not really worth it. I have tons of chicken to use!

$20 at the store today, all for produce and dairy. I kept looking at the meat, but fortunately they didn't have any great prices, since I've sworn off buying meat this month.

There are five Sundays (my usual grocery shopping day) this month, so I'm going to set my budget at $150, though I'm going to try for $100. And I'm not going to buy any meat again this month, except maybe for bone broth, if there's a really good sale on bony meat.
