How meaningful this is!!!!!!! Often in life one is attracted to the wrong road so full of glittering billboards, empty promises, and things so temporal. Broad is the way that many take, but leads to destruction. Narrow is the way that leads to life eternal. Thank you Lord for your salvation and may you keep us in the right path daily.

Beautiful!!! We have been studying Worship and the Tabernacle ... The entrance to the Tabernsvke was very , very wide ... We have been discussing how interesting that the gate is wide but the road is narrow. Kind of like you are driving down the thruway and there is s humongous sign to get off at an entrance ... It is your "road" so you do .... Then you find the actual road you take is narrow ... Follow it and you will reach your destination . Now , sometimes you get off and you find there and a few roads to choose . Bit if you don't take "your road" you will not be going down the right one to your destination OR it might take you longer to get there .... Only one narrow one is the best and right one . I am going to share your devotional on Wed. Have a blessed day!

Roads are tricky!! Directions are hard to follow sometimes! Especially when you think you are going the right way!! :)

(Saw this, just sharing...)

Narrow Is the Road

Following God means walking the 'narrow road.' It means facing adversity. Here are several things I've learned that help me to keep going:

1. God's Word is a border for my life. As long as I stay within the guidelines laid out in Scripture, I'll have what I need to do what I need to do. God is faithful and true to His Word.
2. I have to be willing to finish what I start. God uses committed people who aren't led by emotion. It's easy to be excited in the beginning when something is new, but the ones who cross the finish line are the ones who hang in there when no one else is excited anymore.
3. When no one is there to help me, I get to know Jesus really well. The narrow road of living for God and not conforming to the ways of the world is often lonely. But the trade-off of gaining real intimacy with Christ is worth more than anything you could ever get from the world.

I believe these truths can help you like they've helped me. Always remember that even though there will be opposition, the rewards of walking the narrow path are absolutely worth it.

Prayer Starter: Holy Spirit, I desire to walk the narrow path - the way of life in Christ. Keep me within Your boundaries and show me how to live so that I can persevere to the end.

But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. (Matthew 7:14 NLT)
