I like to post a couple of scriptures on the refrigerator that reminds me that God is right there with me continually and that he will fight my battles.

I love Matthew 6:33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

What things? All things that concern us.

I love this message. How wonderful your son 15 years later continues to grow spiritually from what you instilled in him at such an early age.

I remember teaching our son Philippians 4:19 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Then when he was in Kindergarten, I sent him to get something out of the car trunk. I wondered if he would be able to get the lid closed afterwards. A few moments passed before he returned. When I asked him how he managed to get the trunk lid back down when it was way over his head, he replied, I prayed . He knew God would help him.

One of the minor enjoyments I have in worship, is not only the amount of Scripture that is read and the basis for music choices, sermon, etc., but the fact when the reader stands up I hear the whisper of pages being turned in Bibles amongst the congregation.

We should recall with caution that the question posed to Eve: Did God say?, was not in error at all. The problem was the rest of the question, which was intentionally misleading. Prior to giving The Law to the escaping Hebrews from Egypt, God stated: "Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.'" (Exo19.5f) [Compare that with what Peter writes in 1Pet2.]

Thanks for laying that brick on us, sister. There are alot of those "magnets" out there, attracting our attention away from what God actually does in self-revealing Himself to Humankind.

I look forward to hearing and interacting more here as we encourage others not only towards accountability regarding our physical health, but our spiritual health as well.

Ciao for now; meow.

Yesterday, I posted a picture of a magnet that has been on my fridge since my children were little, and hinted at a lesson this magnet has helped to teach my children. Today, though, I forgot to post what that lesson was (thank you for the reminder, CRISSYRR! Here is the magnet...

What this magnet says sounds right. It's true. But it's not Scriptural. Psalm 91:11 actually says, "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." I used this magnet to teach my children to always look up Scriptures for themselves. Don't take the minister's word for it, don't even rely on mom and dad, because we mess up too. My son still remembers when I first had him look up that verse, and it's encouraging when I see him now, 15 years later, to go check his Bible for himself.
