With me being a supervisor of about 3 people I try to make sure that my team is only as strong as the individual within it!! They know that in order for this well oiled machine to work it takes the work of all of us!! And I let them know how valuable they are to me!! I encourage them to take pride in what they do and the food they put out! And also to keep in mind who our customer is...The kids!! We are obligated to make them want our food and to know the importance of nutrition for their minds! With me working in an elementary school we work around some VERY easily influenced minds! And also the future of what this country is going to be! Children are so encourage able and so fragile at the same time!! I LOVE my job and what I do but I see so many things wrong with how children are being raised and what they grow up in and it scares me! I am glad I don't have kids! Sorry I got off on my soap box!! But there it is!! :) Good Evening!!

I have ALWAYS been an encourager. I LOVE encouraging others, whether with words or by doing a little something for them. I don't say that in any kind of bragging manner. I mess up so many times in so many ways in my life!! But I grew up with very low self esteem. I felt so worthless. I learned very early on that by focusing on someone else, I could forget about me and my worthlessness. Now, as an adult and as a Christian, I look back and understand that God put that gift in me even before I was born - when I was being fearfully and wonderfully made. I used to hate that I would always put others first, and do all I could for them, while it felt like I was dying myself. Now I think it was life-saving for me. There were several times I would have committed suicide - the only thing that stopped me was that NEED to put others first, to please others. I allowed my encouraging nature to turn me into a doormat, but as I said, I think it actually was a life-saver for me at times. Now God has taught (and is still teaching) me the balance.

Too many people in this world only hear put-downs instead of encouragement. This is one of the best things each of us need to practice and intentionally encourage those in our family, community, and even on our team. Everyone seems to carry pain of some type and we need to reflect the love of Christ and shine, shine, and shine for Him.

As we walk this Christian journey, I want us to relish in the joy of uplifting each other. Practice sharing encouraging words and doing small deeds. Let your light shine in this world with so much darkness. Do you know your words or small deeds can make a huge difference in someone's life? I recently shared with a co-worker whose husband is ill...She told me how much my words meant to her. Just knowing I brought her a moment of joy, Blessed me more than she knows.

Because our Redeemer lives, we have a life full of hope. Romans 15:13 Share that hope! Share it with the lost, the saved, and all those who cross your path in need of uplifting. I found that by encouraging others, I am the one truly Blessed!

"Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do"
1 Thessalonians 5:11

We should be the first to offer words to encourage and uplift. Act from your heart, not seeking outward rewards. God sees you, and great is your reward stored in Heaven. Matthew 16:27

My prayer is for all of us to remain encouraged, knowing God, the author of our faith, is with us today and always. Stay strong, unmovable, abounding in the love of God.

What God has for us will last forever, no man can destroy it! Ecclesiastes 3:14

Let God speak to your spirit. When a quiet voice tells you someone needs encouragement, act out of love. Share with them freely, and watch God work in both of your lives!

I want to take this time to invite all of you to share your thoughts and ideas for new topics in this forum. I am listening! Please send me a personal message, if God places something on your heart you would like to share.

May the awesome love of God Bless and keep you!
