emoticon Lois! This is a wonderful post you have written on the questions and messages pertaining to glorifying God. I've made it a daily commitment for me to journal these questions and remind myself each day how I can continue to glorify God and never loose faith in HIS power within my life. Praise God!

Love, Light & Laughter,

Truly we each and all of us have our whole lives, each moment at a time, to submit to our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Let us remember that as we strive to love our God with all our being, that we are in the process of sanctification while we right now are perfected in Christ Jesus. We have no righteousness apart from His righteousness, but in this life we are existing in the "not-yet" of being made in His Image. That part is completed only on the other side of eternity. We give him glory through the submissive faith we have in His loving Sovereingty.

Peace to all who acknowledge that there is only one way to peace, through the power of the Cross. His banner of us is love.

Thanks for directing our thoughts towards God.

Thanks be to God.

I'm not even near perfect, but I know someone who is.

What a wonderful reminder. We must be conscious and careful of how we live our life for Christ. We need to continue to take self out of the way. When we are truly focused on God, it is easy to give Him the glory He is so deserving of. When we take self out of the way, we can go to God in prayer wanting our will to align with God's will.
Be Blessed and encouraged!

Thank you for sharing this. I know we have all struggled in all of these areas. This is a great reminder to all of us to take a good look at our lives and to make adjustments where need be.

Our pastor preached from a message on glorifying God and it caused me to come home and research what it really meant for me to glorify God. I see that my life has not been glorifying God as it should. I wrote these questions as a result of my research to help me get a better grasp of my short comings. You may be interested in looking at this too.
1. Am I ever guilty of praying outside of Godís will and just pray for things that I want? Do you realize when we pray like this found in John 14:3 Jesus said, ďWhatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son, that God will be glorified as He answers our prayers?
2. Am I guilty of complaining about the circumstances in my life and not be contented where God has me? Does this not down play my thoughts that God is in control of every situation and is not equipped to meet my needs? especially when with the promise of Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. .. Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Do you remember how the Apostle Paul had been beaten, whipped, stoned, shipwreck, robbed, naked and hungry and still found it necessary to be content in whatever state for the Godís strength was with him and God would be glorifed.
3.Am I guilty of excusing my daily sins instead of confessing them? Is this kind of placing the blame on God to do so? 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. When we do this IT GLORIFES GOD.
4. Am I guilty of failing to praise God for things in my life? Do you realize this is one way to glorify God? Pslams 50:23 He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me.Ē
5. Do I fail to put God on display to the those around me in my actions? Do you realize that this is bearing fruit that Jesus spoke about in John 15:8 My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit.Ē As Colossians 1:10 says Walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work

6.Am I ever guilty of not sharing Godís Word with someone that is in my path that is unsaved or to use Godís Word to help strengthen someone in a crisis? Do you realize when we do this, it is failure to glorify God?

7.Have I ever experienced joy in the midst of your disappointments, difficult trial and circumstances and yet fail to share with others that God is the reason for my joy that goes beyond all understandings?. Philipians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Shouldnít I think God would be glorified to be given the credit as it serves a witness to the unsaved and encouragement to other Christians?

8.Am I ever guilty of failing to reveal, praise and glorify Godís glory through my words, lifestyle, and behavior?1Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

9.Am I guilty of failing to submit to Godís will in all things, and to be willing to suffer for him, be contented with what I have, not worry, knowing God will take care of us, relying on Him for strength instead of ourselves, helping others while giving Him the glory/praise, being selfless and humble, showing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in our lives. Although these are not easy, but you and I can do these through Christ and others can glorify God when they see that transformation is possible in our lives.
10.Am I ever guilty of forgetting to praise God often for this - As everyone we have all sinned and deserve God's judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord" you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
