Yes. Everything in moderation. Although to be honest I try to avoid sugars.

I cook professionally. My life revolves around recipes; written, oral and vague.
Grocery list?
This ones always easy for me. I keep a running list on the refrigerator at home and on a board at work. I'm writing on them constantly, every time I get low on something.

Once a week. Fortunately I have access to whatever I might forget while I'm at work.

Revisiting this task as I've been reconsidering my eating plan.

Do you know what diet you will follow? The Sonoma Diet which is portion controlled. Also, going to follow something called The Freezer Diet. Using portion controlled frozen meals and foods I cooked and freeze in single portions.

Found some recipes? Yes.

Grocery list? Planning for both cooking and freezing my own meals and also using portion controlled convenience foods.

Shop? Yes.

Do you have the food on hand to get started? Yes, I am already starting.

Have you followed this diet before? Yes. This is how I lost 30 lbs originally. Its kind of like programs like Nutria system and Jenny Craig except its a mixture of foods I cook and meals I've bought.

Did you clean up your kitchen? Need to do this.

I follow the SparkPeople guide numbers set for my height weight and gender and activity level. I will also use my knowledge of the Weight Watcher program. emoticon

For this challenge I plan to use follow the WMTS plan (weigh, measure, track & stay within my calorie range). I haven't been doing any of these for a very long time, and I know it makes a difference when I do. I also am going to eat at least one fresh fruit and veggie each day.

Do you know what diet you will follow?

I have to portion control. Living with my mum (85) who is still well able to do the cooking we follow the same plan she's always had. We eat mostly 1950's style, meat and two veg, lots of soups. When you track them it's surprosing how well the fit the carb/fat/protein balance and include all the nutrients without thinking.
My biggest problem is the sweet stuff so much more freely available now. I need to really work at keeping that to a minimum

I will be tracking my foods every day in SparkPeople (except the first week because I will be on vacation with no access to internet).

I use many of the Spark recipes - especially slow cooker meals and now that fall is almost here I will use it more often.

I keep a running grocery list and make my meal plans for the week every Sunday adding to the list the foods I'll need for the recipes I'm making.

I am not very good at cleaning up my kitchen - it's small and I don't like being in there very much so I do what I have to do. I suppose I need to think about changing that!

Eating 1200-1500 calories daily. Low carb and whole grains with lots of fruits and vegetables.

My husband does the cooking and most of the shopping. He also likes to eat healthy and is very supportive.

My goal is eating to maintain my current weight. I have chronic gastrointestinal issues that translate into a very bland diet at times. emoticon I need to find a way to add more fruits/veggies to my diet without upsetting my stomach. I need to focus on adequate protein, calcium, and Vitamin D3. I need to work on lowering my sugar intake.

My plan is to continue what I have been doing. On the Summer Challenge it helped me to have a normal diet and just cut back on portions. Using the Nutrition Tracker, counting calories, analysing the days that didn't turn out as well as planned, and making sure to eat fruit and vegetables all work for me. I generally enjoy planning meals and cooking and find it is easiest to make sure I have a plan in the morning for the rest of the day. When I am tired later, it is easier to already have a plan and maybe a start on the preparation. I have certain groceries I like to always have on hand that will give me enough choices when I plan a meal. Lunches seem to be the most challenging for me to plan.

There are so many fun ways to exercise, don't waste time on the other ones. Enjoy healthy, good food and skip the rest.

Do you know what diet you will follow?
__1 - Eat mostly healthy nutritious whole foods, plenty of fiber, all colors of fruits and veggies -organic when feasible. Limit restaurant meals and takeout to make this more practical.
__2 - Be vigilant about portion sizes for higher calorie or less healthy items such as fats, meats, starches or sweets. Make unhealthy foods, like sweets, occasional small splurges rather than routine.
__3 - Plan and prep ahead to make sure healthy foods are always available.

Found some recipes? I routinely find and copy recipes for my recipe notebook.
Grocery list? I keep an ongoing list.
Shop? Plenty on hand; usually shop a few times per week.

What diet will you follow ? 1400-1600 calorie Davita Diet.com It is based on a kidney diet for people with chronic kidney disease. I am at stage 2 kidney disease and have to be careful to get the correct amount of vitamins and minerals daily. It will be a high sodium, low potassium, low protein, small amount of milk products, no whole wheat, only white bread, white rice diet. The salt is to raise my blood pressure because of kidney disease, it is 80/55 most days.

Grocery list? Do it Thursday for 7 days with Davita recipes..

Shop? Will shop for the first week of the challenge on Thursday.

I'm pretty much going to keep doing what I'm doing.

I am mainly vegan and follow the No S diet system.

I have plenty of recipes.

I plan my menus weekly, have a groceries master-list, and a current list which I keep in my purse.

I do most of my shopping once a week, and top up during the week. I'm not buying anything different or special for the Challenge. I have the food I need on hand.

I have been plant-based for decades, and have been following No S for the past year - I've lost 10lbs using this system (in the past year)

My nutrition plan is already in my Spark profile.

It’s time to decide what diet if any you will stick to for 8 weeks. There are many to choose from - Spark, South Beach, Weight Watchers, American Heart Association, Diabetes Diet, Dr. Oz, Mayo Clinic, Mediterranean Diet, USDA Diet, Canada Food Guide, Dukan, Paleo, The Full Plate Diet or whatever else you choose. Everyone is different and you need to have a plan that works for you, with food that you like. Browse online or at the library for new recipes and have them ready. Regardless of the plan you choose follow the set of standard guidelines recommended by the plan.

Know what you will commit to for 8 weeks of the challenge and have your fridge and pantry ready with what you need. Find the measuring cups and food scale and have them handy. Declutter your counter, clean the fridge and be ready to make nutritious meals. Go through the kitchen and throw out the junk food. If it’s not in the house you won’t eat it.
