I love Tom Brady and deeply respect what he has accomplished. I want to join the Brady's Way Challenge.

*1) HARD WORK/ the RIGHT MINDSET... be positive and PRESENT (100%)...He shows up *every day ready to do his best/ never late/ always with the highest expectations
emoticon I will check in to SP everyday and review my goals board and be sure I'm following the plan that I have set up for myself.

*2) FOCUS... persistence is the key- for Brady, it's unwavering- keeps his head in the game, *never gives up even when the situation looks bleak
emoticon I will stay focused on my goals and not let a slip up deter me. I know this is going to take time so I need to stay the course.

*3) PLANNING... has a strict food and training plan and sticks to it.
emoticon I will track my food and exercise each day. I will stick with the food plan. I will go to strength class 3X a week and get my 3 mile walk in most days. I will go out and do at least 15 minutes of yard/gardn work 5X a week.

1. logging every day... especially the "bad" stuff.
2. Still working on focus!!
3. did some shopping for better snacks for travel. will research healthier options at Disney!

Here's my plan:
1) Hard Work/ Right Mindset: *
emoticon journal every bite, every day *
emoticon Read (3 books on organization, attitude, health) currently gathering dust

2) Focus:
emoticon NEVER GIVE UP
emoticon Persist
emoticon Be relentless
emoticon Know your 'why': I'm turning 50 June 1st. I have 50+/- lbs to lose. I ache. My back, neck and knees hurt. I'm way too week to throw in Highland Games as well as I should. I'm tired of spending Valentine's Day/ New Year's Eve alone.

3) Planning:
emoticon Shopping: plan for home, work, travel if you shouldn't eat it, don't buy it!!
emoticon Allow 1 hour tv max, set timer, shut it off,
emoticon Work, minimum of one hour per day, 5 days per week. Cardio/weights/videos
emoticon Disney trip Feb 15-21, eat better options in the park, share treats
emoticon Work trips: skip the beer, plan healthy snacks, make better choices
emoticon Organize and clean one hour per day

LETS GO!!!!!!

I found this randomly listed on a newer SP member's blog. SKIIBUNNY1 is not even a member of our team ...yet. But what she wrote resonated in me. I have copied and posted the original post bellow for reference. (See * section for reference).

We all know how amazing it was that our Patriots managed to come back from the biggest deficit in Super Bowl history take the game into overtime and eventually win.

The keys to this Challenge:

1) HARD WORK/ the RIGHT MINDSET... be POSITIVE and PRESENT (100%)...Brady shows up every day ready to do his best/ never late/ always with the highest expectations
2) FOCUS... persistence is the key- for Brady, it's unwavering- keeps his head in the game, never gives up even when the situation looks bleak
3) PLANNING... Tom has a strict food and training plan and sticks to it.

What do you think, would you like to join me in this challenge?? I'll post my responses in a reply.

*Gosh, the Patriots were down 25 points in the 3rd quarter, the cards were stacked against *them but they kept pushing HARD! NEVER GIVE UP! N..E..V..E..R! So, what's the end result? *THEY WON! IN OVERTIME... one of their many Superbowl firsts...

*So, what's one of the key factors in their success? TOM BRADY (I know, I know, you may *think that he's a cheater because of deflategate, but many of us Patriots Fans think that he's *our Californian Golden Boy and that that episode was has no merit). So, what makes him so *special and how can his outlook help us on our weight loss journeys?

*So, I plan on following Brady's way and using him as my role model.

*So here's my plan...
*1) Hard Work/ right mindset/ journal all food choices daily and exercise (2 mile walk or spin *class). BE POSITIVE!
*2) Focus... persistence is key. I will give this my all. Right now, I have bone, foot and knee pain *that make it difficult to do my daily tasks. Losing 25 pounds could alleviate my pain. I need to *do this so I can be there for my family and for my work.
*3) Planning; I will stay within my calorie goal range, get exercise, journal (food and feelings), *review the journal every day, go to bed by 9:30 to 10 PM and weigh in 1x per week.
