Sorry I didnít see this before the game, but will either look to do this for the rest of the season or be sure to check the board before the game.

What a great idea! Thank you for sharing.

In the excitement of the game I feel like I missed recording a couple of first downs, anyway:

Squats 75
Push-ups: 21
Lunges: 12(each side of course)
Plank: 240 seconds=4 minutes
Calf raises: 10

This kept me from sitting in the corner of the couch getting uptight. My DH and BIL thought it was quite entertaining to watch me.

Don't know about you, but I get pretty nervous during the Patriots games. Just sitting and being anxious is not very good for me. I feel like I need to get up and do something or I'll just sit and eat snacks to combat the butterflies in my stomach. So here is our quick one day challenge.

Coach Nicole shared this on the Premium Challenge today:

There are lots of ways you can squeeze a little strength training into your days. And whether they become an ongoing habit or just something you do on the days you can't make it to the gym, you'll still benefit. Some of my favorite ways to work my muscles during an average day are: doing lunges or heel raises while brushing my teeth; pumping out a quick set of push-ups at the edge of the bed when I wake up and before I go to sleep; working my core with planks and Pilates exercises while I watch TV; and squatting to load and unload the dishwasher and laundry dryer.

I am going to try to incorporate some of the ideas during the game this evening. Here is how:

Every time the Patriots get a 1st down: 5 squats
www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercis
es
.asp?exercise=21

Every time the Patriots score a touchdown: 7 push-ups or modified push-ups
www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercis
es
.asp?exercise=63

Every time the Patriots score a field goal: 3 lunges www.sparkpeople.com/resource
/exercises
.asp?exercise=22

Every time the Patriots hold the Steelers to no gain or loss: 30-second plank or modified
plank www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercis
es
.asp?exercise=141

Every time the Patriots make an interception: 10 calf raisers www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercis
es
.asp?exercise=123

This is just for fun. Only do what is safe for you or feel free to substitute a different exercise. Post your accomplishments on this thread tomorrow. Go Pats and go teammates.
