I'm a geek and therefore my tracking / checklist is all done in a spreadsheet. I tend to visit it daily because I give myself "points" for every goal I meet. I currently have a couple of goals set in points - once I reach those, I'm going to reward myself with some crafty items I want to buy. Those points help to keep me encouraged and ensure I track frequently. My Fitbit and a mileage app help track and record exercise, and tracking my daily nutrition on SP makes it easy to pull some of the other goals.

Some things I track daily include:
20+ min exercise (1 pt for each 10 min >= 20)
6000+ steps (1 pt for each 1000 >= 6000)
7.5+ hours of sleep (1 pt)
calories out > calories in (1 pt)
saturated fat under limit (1 pt)
met fiber goal (1 pt)
8+ cups water (1 pt)
reduce sweets (2 pts = no sweets, 1 pt = 1 sweet, 0 = 2+ sweets)
floss (1 pt)
SparkPoints for the day (encourages me to read articles, interact on forums, etc.)

I'm aiming for 10 or more points each day to reach my goal.

Wakeup - 9:00 a.m.
Morning routine - make coffee, get showered and dressed, brush teeth, take meds, eat something small and then workout on elliptical for at least 30 minutes,
Eat lunch at noon to 1 o'clock
Get something out of the freezer for dinner or start something in the slow cooker
Walk to get mail
Drink water sips all day long
Do strength training every day or at least 3 times a week with bands and DVD's on SP
Do nutrition tracking after every time I eat so I do not forget to do it
Make sure I do entries for my team points
Visit my teammates pages to help motivate them and do other duties throughout the day, usually while drinking coffee in the morning!

Yes! I'm a night owl, though, so wakeup and bed times are a bit erratic. I hope to alter that a bit.

Yes.

What's been working was:
- Follow morning routine of skin care
- Walking 3 days a week in early afternoon
- Drinking at least two 32-oz bottles of water
- Toning 3 days a week
- Minding my portions at mealtimes
- Tracking everything I eat, ideally as soon as I prepare/eat it
- Follow nightly routine of skin care
- Try to switch off from computer and devices at least 30 mins before bed

Do you already have a daily routine that includes your healthy meals, fitness and your well being? Still being tweaked to fit my life/current health status. Currently:
Spin M-F, at 15 min, add 5 minutes weekly until I'm at 30 minutes
Walk : 10 minutes on my break
I'm packing to move and cleaning and painting where I'm moving into so my time is extremely limited right now, but these are my no excuses must get done plan.
Meals: I pretty much eat the same thing over again and I'm happy with that period I do struggle with getting to the grocery store.

Not written down this is probably something I need to take care of.

I'm doing these topics out of order, but here goes...

Do you already have a daily routine that includes your healthy meals, fitness and your well being? My days are not as routine as the example given, but I do keep a bullet journal and refer to it multiple times a day to ensure the important stuff is tracked.

Do you have it where you see it often? Yes

Please tell us what works for you. Because of the way my days work, I find that having a physical journal (not electronic) works best for me. My plans get more specific as time goes on (i.e. I have the month calendar, then a weekly, then daily schedules as well as tracking sleep, etc. I track my food and plan my menus online.

Do you have questions Team Members can answer for you? I'm sure I will eventually, but none come to mind at the moment.

Do you already have a daily routine that includes your healthy meals, fitness and your well being? Nope. My work schedule changes week to week (retail, hooray!) so it's impossible for me to have a routine for every day. I do pretty well though.

Please tell us what works for you.
I prioritize meal tracking to make sure my calories are under control. I work an active job so steps aren't really an issue for me. I'm still recovering from Chronic fatigue, so I have to be careful on the days I work (only 3 days/week right now), but if I don't work that day I definitely try to get at least some excercize in! Accountability through these groups is exactly what I've been needing, though!

Do you already have a daily routine that includes meals,fitness and your well being? Yes I do
Do you have it were you see it often? On my refrigerator and on the wall above my bed.
Please tell us why it works for you?It works because if I go to the fridge to get something I see my routine and I don't bother to get what it was.
Do you have questions the other team members could answer? No I don't.

Immediately after I wake up I drink 16 oz. water
Get Dressed
Make the bed
Drink 8 oz. lemon water
Wash breakfast dishes (from husband, who always gets up before I do)
Test blood glucose
Breakfast, track, and Vitamins/Supplements
Wash remaining dishes and coffee cups
Assorted household chores/or laundry
Power up laptop for: work, appointments
Throughout the day make sure I get 250 steps/hour, take dog outside for work
Lunch/track meal
More work
Dinner/track meal
After dinner activities depend on when DH gets home from work
**weight training at gym depends on DH's schedule...3x week
Bedtime routine includes reading for 20-30 min. before lights off

~~Not really, I'm too spontaneous and random to try to follow a set schedule every day besides going to work full time Monday-Friday from 8 to 4:30. A set schedule to eat, exercise, journal, and whatever else just sets me up for failure because I never stick to it; then I feel like I really messed up when that happens, which leads me to throwing in the whole day as a failure and I pig out. That was not working at all, so I threw that type thinking out the window and just stick to my own basic plan... eat right when I'm hungry and do some activity whenever I want. it's working great for me. Everyone's different! :)

~~ Not having a clock or calendar tell me when I have to eat, exercise, write, etc. Having the right foods on hand and ready for me to fix whatever I'm hungry. Having exercise videos, a treadmill, an exercise bike, a mini stepper, lots of music to dance to, free weights and dumb bells at home so I can do whatever activity I feel like doing at the time (depends on my mood. LOL.) I do keep track of what I eat on MyFitnessPal (Sorry SP!) and I keep track of my activity in my journal.

Need to write it down so I am committed
Meals run like clockwork, unless we are out mum has precise times for meal time.

I rise and breakfast then take extended walk for the newspaper.

Tuesdays I help with church lunches.
Fridays I clean the church hall.
Other than that I do housework and gardening as required and weather permitting.
After dinner I park myself and relax with craft work.

Yes, I start the morning off on the stationary bike, if I don't, my day gets busy. I work from home and work gets in the way. I have my yogurt with peanut butter powder for added protein for breakfast. I take a walk at lunchtime and eat some fruit and peanut butter or a salad and usually a healthy dinner. Have a planned snack at night.

Do you have it where you see it often?
Yes, drilled into my head.

Please tell us what works for you. Sticking to the program, I log everything, stay active, stay within my calories (most days), it's a lifestyle....

Yes, but it will be all changed by the next 2 weeks.
I am going to try to sign up for yoga classes and have to wait 2 more days before I can sign up and then I will know the dates and times. I am also considering joining a gym that has a number of locations 15 minutes walk to 1.5 hour drive away from me. You can go to any location and do not have to change your membership. They have a regular gym and classes on different things daily that are included with no limits and they also give you 2 times B.M.I.,B.M.R. total fat and other fat tests,muscle tests etc. They also have 2 consultations regarding a fitness plan with their classes tailor made to you. These 4 visits are included for free. I am also getting blood tests at a homeopathic Dr. regarding what food is best for my body and will be put on blood thinners that require a medium potassium diet. I am now on a high cholesterol,high salt diet. I was advised no low fat dairy,more salt to raise my blood pressure. Most days 80/50 without adding salt & light exercise to raise it.
So it will not be easy with a total new diet and less aerobic exercise with higher fat,higher salt diet to lose weight. I also have to drink 10 glasses of water daily.

Do you have it where you see it often.? Yes I have a calender to track my fitness appointments and keep my menu planned online

Please tell us what works for you? Planning my menu in advance so it meets my nutrition needs and not just my calories needed daily. I also plan my exercise 7 days in advance. I update every 2 days and keep everything planned for the 8 days allowed on Spark People.

Do you already have a daily routine that includes your healthy meals, fitness and your well being? No. Right now, my life changes from day to day and I don't know when and if I'm going to work the next day. I am trying to get a routine!

Do you have it where you see it often? No

Please tell us what works for you. Here is my normal plan for a day without work

Wake up at 9:30, take my meds. Have 2 cups of coffee and 2 packets of oatmeal for breakfast.

Play with Angela (cat) and go online until about 1 pm.

Have lunch, which changes from day to day. (I want to get a set lunch down)

Go for a walk (when I can) and watch some TV.

Start making dinner between 5-5:30 pm, and eat around 6.

Watch more TV with dinner, and if I didn't go for a walk earlier, then try and go for a walk around 8.

Lie down around 10:30, call Richard and go to sleep around 11.

With the change of season, it is easier to make lifestyle changes. There is no time limit on doing these Countdown Activities, so do what you can, when you can. Put some thought into you goals and plans to make it a happy and healthy season. You are worth it.
