I too keep a thermos filled with ice water. Before I got back on track with my water, I was drinking maybe 16oz of water and diet coke the rest of the day. Now, I have replaced most of my diet coke with water. Much easier to get back into drinking water than I thought andI feel so much better and energetic.

I've been drinking water all day long since 2005. I've found that it keeps my skin looking nice and makes my insides feel good (which is a welcome change from the bloating/pain/heaviness that used to plague me all the time when I was a teen).

Drinking your water in bits at a time makes it seem a bit less overwhelming! And flavoured water (without sugar) or just putting fruit in your water makes it more enjoyable, too.

With this challenge, I just started drink a cup of water in the morning with breakfast. Gets me started right! I also always have my water bottle with me, especially in the car. And I drink water, sparkling water, or iced tea (usually herbal) with all meals. As an added bonus, when I exercise I get thirsty, so it's even easier to get to 8! I am always drinking, so this is not a challenge for me :)

I drink a glass of warm water first thing in the morning. I also have water with each meal. In the afternoon we have tea. I take a water bottle along when I go out or to the gym. It seems easy now but it took work to make it routine.

I drink 10 glasses of water daily. Each morning I fill five insulated stainless water bottles with 2 cups water and a couple ice cubes. I put them where I spend the most time, Kitchen, den, living room, basement, car. It's easy to drink when it's always near me.

I always have my bottle with me with either water or decaf tea. It is the only thing I can drink since my stomach surgery since I can't drink anything that is carbonated. I go through 5-6 bottles of water a day and maybe 2-3 glasses of decaf tea.

I drink plenty of water before and in-between meals:

2 cups first thing in the morning (sometimes in the form of warm herbal tea…nothing added)
2 cups between breakfast and lunch
2 cups in the afternoon
2 cups early evening (again sometimes as herbal tea)

I drink more on days I'm hot and thirsty from mowing grass, etc. And sometimes I add freshly squeezed lemon juice to the water for a sugarless lemonade. It is a habit for me now. If I'm going to be away from home I carry water with me.

Water is never a problem for me and actually all of my family. As a child, it was what my mom pushed me to drink and it is still my favorite drink.

I have 4 water bottles that total 102 oz. I fill them up each evening from my refrigerated Brita pitcher since I am slowly migrating to an Ayurveda diet. They recommend room temperature or warm water. My goal is to drink at least 3 of the filled bottles.

Each morning I drink 8 oz of water before I have breakfast, tea or coffee. During travel & my work day, I try to drink 32 to 48 oz. The rest I drink at night at home. Most days I drink 10 or more glasses a day.

I use to hate water. One time I got sick and all I wanted was water. I didn't like what came out of the faucet so I started buying it. Now I only drink water. I am on this way of eating plan and they want you to put a little orange juice in it but I can't do it. I have 2 bottles that my husband fills every morning and I take a small glass with me and drink it before I get to work. My 2 bottles are about 58 oz. combined and with the 6-8 oz in the morning, I have it done before 6 when I get home from work.

I've found that if I start off the day with a glass of water, it helps me get a jump-start on things. I have a mug at my desk at work and sip from it all day long. Same with at home - I have a glass I fill (16 oz) and drink from it while I'm relaxing. I try and get all my water in before 8pm ... so I don't have to take a walk in the middle of the night emoticon

At first, I found it hard to get in my 8 cups, but now it's much easier.

Week 1 we are drinking water. Do you find it easy to do? Do you usually drink 8 glasses a day? Or is this something you have to work at? Does it make a difference in how you feel, your energy level or appetite?

Please share your tips on how to get in 8 glasses a day. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
