Today's assignment is to list 10 reasons you want to lose weight. What do you want to change? How do you want to look? How do you want to feel? What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body? And list all the OTHER things that you want to change!

10 specific reasons:

My 5 grandchildren, want to be healthy and be able to keep up with them, and watch them grow.

Tired of being tired, more energy.

My feet hurt! can barely walk, hoping this will help. Would love to wear cute shoes again.

Buy cute clothes..want to buy clothes that don't have an 'x' in the size and be able to zip my jeans without the big belly hanging over

Our new house has stairs, and going up and down them can be difficult.

I am pre-diabetic and that is not where I want to go.

Acid Reflux has returned, and don't want to take meds for this anymore

Snoring is getting bad again, when I go to girl's retreats don't want to be the one noone wants to room with anymore

Starting to spill out of airplane seats...was nice when I could fit in them

Healthier Digestion...earlier this year I did the Engine 2 challenge and could really tell the difference!

What do you want to change? just about everything!

How do you want to look? healthier

How do you want to feel? healthier and energetic

What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body? dress for fun not just to cover the fat

And list all the OTHER things that you want to change! would like to eventually be a runner, you know, one of those people who say "I don't like to run, but I run because I like french fries" though mine may be ice cream not french fries

Today's assignment is to list 10 reasons you want to lose weight.

What do you want to change?
I want to change my physical look. I am older and grey. I walk with a cane. Being Deaf, people bump into me all the time .. cut in front of me in lines .. they won't move when I try to come through. I want an intimidating look that says "Back off" when I don't have a live voice. I don't know if nor when people can hear what I say!



How do you want to look?
I want to look strong .. I want my self-dedication to show and shine through !


How do you want to feel?
I want to feel like I have the ability to do my daily activities with ease. I want less physical pain from this added weight that holds me back!


What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body?
My plan is to be in the 2020 Olympics for Archery. I think that will be a pinnacle of Success at the age of 63!

And list all the OTHER things that you want to change!

10 reasons I want to lose weight .. These are not in order as they all are an integral part of the greater whole .. each is as important as another

1. To improve my overall health, mentally, physically, spiritually.
2. To look great in clothes I love and to actually "dress" every day in the style I love, not just throw on jeans and a big top to hide everything in.
3. To gain energy for future grand-kids, gardening, theme parks, beaches, vacations, hiking trips, surfing lessons, etc. who knows what else! :)
4. To improve my confidence and self-esteem including feeling great to be ME on a crowded beach in a swim suit.

I literally have 100 reasons but I can share 10 :)
1 Because I want to be around to see my nieces and nephew have kids (they're kids right now)
2 Because I have dreams still to come true and I will need health and strength to realise them
3 Because I want to dance again
4 Because I want to be able to hide among my students :)

1. I have reached goal many times in the past only to regain, I DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN AGAIN!
2. I'm proud of myself for reaching my goal
3. I'm proud of myself for maintaining for 9 months so far
4. I feel healthy
5. I know that I will fit into all my clothes and I'm finally able to get rid of the clothes that are too big.
6. I like running into old friends and having them say, "Wow, you look good."

I follow Beck Diet Solution principles and have cards I read daily and as needed. My top reasons:

Travel benefits, I will be more adventurous, smaller luggage because of smaller clothes, fit in an airplane seat, look better in the bathing suit and keep up with younger people on tours.

Health improvement: Decrease blood pressure, cholesterol, and A1C and associated risks of heart disease and stroke. Decreased joint pain.

Physical changes: Decrease discomfort,, feet, knees, back, better sleeping, increased mobility and stability, Look better in smaller clothes.

Psychological benefits: I will feel better about myself, more self confident with the success, more positive feelings of self control.

Eating benefits: Reduced stomach size, less guilt associated with eating, less of a daily struggle.

Ten reasons I want to lose weight:
1. Lack of energy - I don't enjoy things that I like to do
2. Orthopedic surgeon said 5 years ago that in 10 yrs I'd need knee replacements. I want to be at my ideal weight to handle the surgery and the pain
3. Maybe I can delay or never have knee surgery
4. I need energy to take care of my Mom as she grows older
5. I want to enjoy life again instead of thinking each day as another day I have to get thru
6. To reduce the amount of medicines I am on
7. Pain - back pain, migraines, knee pain, arthritis, shoulder pain
8. With the weight I've lost so far and the exercise my pain has started to decrease and meds have decreased
9. I look frumpy in pics. I don't like how I look
10. I want clothes to fit better

Ten reasons I want to lose weight
*1 I want to feel good when I see myself in pictures
*2 I want to help the pressure on my knees in hopes of avoiding surgery
*3 I want to have more energy to keep up with my family when being active - i.e. hikes, bike rides, etc.
*4 I want to set an example for my kids that anything is possible
*5 I want to live the physical image I have of myself in my head (I am always shocked when I see pictures because I look nothing like I think I do)
*6 I want to feel confident in my bathing suit when husband and I go to Barbados next summer
*7 I want to climb a 14er
*8 I want to look good in my dance costume next May
*9 I want to have more energy
*10 I want to be a healthy weight.

Ten reasons I want to lose weight
(1) I felt accomplished when I got to my goal weight before, and I will lose that feeling if I gain the weight all back.
(2) I want to fit in my current wardrobe, not go through the depressing task of replacing with larger clothes.
(3) Mom has osteoporosis - I want strong muscles and bones to keep me independent in old ate.
(4) I felt more confident in a bikini when I was leaner.
(5) I want to be a good example to the kids in my life.
(6) It feels good to set a goal and reach it.
(7) I can carry more weight in my camping pack if I'm not carrying so much weight on my a$$.
I dunno if I really have three more reasons - these first seven are pretty compelling.

10 reasons I want to lose weight

1. Increase chance of success and probability of doing a 20 day hike to Mt Everest in the next 5 years.

2. My weight loss will mean successful implementation of a better diet

3. So I can ride my bike faster! emoticon

4. To set an example so I can encourage others to do the same

5. To look good in a swimsuit

6. I have pledged to not be the fat girl traveling to countries where food is scarce.

7. Because I am a warrior and can do this!

1. Serve Jehovah more fully
2. Be as active with fun people
3. Don't want to end up in a nursing home being said of "oh, she's very nice, funny, but I can't help " her" "she's too FAT!! I'll hurt myself. Get someone else."

The 10 Reasons I Want to Lose Weight

1 - M y #1 reason is to be healthier.

2 - To lower my blood pressure

3 - To lower my LDL and triglycerides, and keep my HDL high

4 - To reduc e or eliminate meds.

5 - To be able to walk without my walker.

6.- To have a better quality of life while I am still on this planet.
7 - To be able to feel good about myself again

8 - To have more energy.

9 - To lessen joint pain

10 - Last but not least. To be able to enjoy life and travel . Before God takes me home I would like to see every state in America. I want to be able to sit on plans, buses and trains comfortable. Go site seeing, swim in the oceans, walk on the beaches and not collapse at the end of the day.

I have reached my goal weight.

What do you want to change?
Now I am concentrating on working out with the help of a personal trainer. I need to keep my weight down in order to control any tendency toward high blood sugar. I need more strength in my legs so I'm concentrating on that, but I'm having to pamper a bad rotator cuff until it heals so my upper body workouts are on hold for now.

reasons I want to lose weight.
my body loves my fat - but I do not
I have been on low carb for years - weight still goes up and down
in hearing and reading Jason Fung - healing the insulin resistance is the key and intermttent fasting with keto ( under 20 reg carbs a day ) is getting my bs down as the chemistry changed after surgery last fall.....
so I carry on - blood sugars are coming down - no meds nothing worked or made me sick.
anxiety does not help and this hurricane coming is not helping that at all ...
preparing for it now so getting in a ton of steps and lifting weights - cases of water since all jugs are gone ...will edit next week or when power is back on .... emoticon

10 reasons I want to lose weight:

1 - Because I will feel better and healthier
2 - Get off the meds
3 - because i look good now (at 200) but want to look spectacular
4 - enjoy cuter clothing
5 - Be around for my son
6 - Live longer
7 - Be around for future grandkids and great grandkids
8 - enjoy freer movement
9 - lower blood pressure
10 - healed pancreas

2 - Get off the meds
3 - Look better both in and out of clothes
4 - Feel better about myself
5 - Have more energy
