I will measure properly when I get upstairs and in the morning, but I took an estimate with a workman's measuring tape, it says I am an apple, I used to be a pair, but i have a lot around my middle and i know that is bad, so i really need to work on losing that part.

Last time I checked I was an avocado, at a better weight I have been an hourglass, I'm working my way back to that. I will take new measurements and see where I'm at on October 1st. I like to do these type measurements on the first of each month.


current bmi is 31.7

2 years ago it was 42.7!! slow going, but definitely progress!

bmi goal is 24.8.

I seem to be an Avocado right now--remember being a pear shape??? ratio is .83 and BMI is 34.5 feeling quite emoticon

I was an apple when I weighed 180 (I'm only 5 ft tall, so that's a lot for me). But since I lost 50 lb, now I'm a ruler! I've always had a thick waist, so my BMI is always too high. My waist/hip ration will never put me in a "normal" BMI, no matter how toned I get or how much weight I lose.

I'm a crab apple, if that's a possibility. I have a long waist, so at it's narrowest point, I have a good waist:hip ratio, but just above the navel, the ratio says "apple."

My BMI is 23.4, but a calipers would reveal a too high body fat percentage. Losing the belly fat would help a great deal.

I measured September 1, so I will update just before the challenge starts.

I have pleurisy, 2 types of anemia, macrocytic anemia, Iron deficiency anemia, from blood transfusions with wrong antibodies, causes blood to replace daily instead of 100 days, chronic pneumonia, pleurisy, chronic kidney disease, a partially collapsed lung, low blood pressure & blood clots in both lungs for 3 years. Now formed scar tissue.I am 56 years old. I had cervical cancer 6 years ago, no signs last 4 years as well. I have new blood clots now,2019.I am on P.S.T. time zone.

Thanks for the links. I have been pear shape since puberty, although when in my teens through thirties, it probably bordered more on an hour glass. But, alas, as I started to gain a massive amount of weight, the bottom half accumulated it faster than the top half, so definitely pear shaped now. ;-)
