What can you tell yourself every morning that will give you a sense of purpose for your day?
"You know what needs to be done .. you planned for this"

What can you tell yourself when you are thinking of skipping a walk or a workout?
I made the decision to enact this challenge and I planned is precisely. There is no 'talking to myself' about skipping .. there will be no skipping!

Is there something you can tell yourself when you are reaching for that second helping or that cookie?
There is no cookies in my menus .. no seconds at all!

What can you tell yourself every morning that will give you a sense of purpose for your day?

My pet family and husband need me to be healthy. I need me to be healthy.

What can you tell yourself when you are thinking of skipping a walk or a workout?

I don't have any room to skip workouts or walks at my age because it takes work to even keep any fitness and it's harder to build it. I remind myself that I'm just making the future harder by not taking care of myself. I'll make the future brighter by putting my health first.

Is there something you can tell yourself when you are reaching for that second helping or that cookie?

I don't even reach for the first cookie. What I do when I think I want my binge foods is that I make myself stop, sit down, and think because I KNOW what one of anything will do to me and by taking that one binge food, I'm setting myself up for misery.

"I'll just do 10 minutes" and that usually turns into more minutes once I start.

"Healthy feels better than that cookie tastes!"

What can you tell yourself when you are thinking of skipping a walk or a workout?

I is the only difference between fit and fat.

Is there something you can tell yourself when you are reaching for that second helping or that cookie?

What you eat in private you wear in public.


I'm going to put on my yellow LIVESTRONG bracelet and wear it during the challenge to remind me of these things.

I copied and pasted these questions/answers on my Trello board to look at daily.

It's only (# of mins of planned exercise) you can do that much. You know you feel better when you do.

My running/jogging/walking slogan is "I'm in it for the long run."

Here on Spark "Nothing worth having ever comes easily."

At the end of speed work, I need to remind myself "to spend it all," instead of holding back and saving it, for what?

I have pleurisy, 2 types of anemia, macrocytic anemia, Iron deficiency anemia, from blood transfusions with wrong antibodies, causes blood to replace daily instead of 100 days, chronic pneumonia, pleurisy, chronic kidney disease, a partially collapsed lung, low blood pressure & blood clots in both lungs for 3 years. Now formed scar tissue.I am 56 years old. I had cervical cancer 6 years ago, no signs last 4 years as well. I have new blood clots now,2019.I am on P.S.T. time zone.
