I can't remember when I last measured myself but okay I did. I was an apple in the past, but now closer to an avocado (actually not even as I have no butt to speak of, my gut is where the inches are), my fat is the viseral kind (my Gyn showed me the video of my 3rd Laproscopy and kindly ? pointed out my fat on the screen to DH & I). My BMI is 26, for which I'll use "close to healthy" as opposed to "over"

I am a pear, I am going to change this when the 5% spring challenge starts. As you see o am smaller on top, from my waist to my hips I am bigger, and from my hips down to my thighs I am bigger again.

I know I can do this, and I know we can all do this as long as we are willing to try.

I'm an apple...just shy of avocado! I definitely took the time to take my measurements...the scale normally is the last to move for me. So I'll redo them again on Apr. 5th. Here's hoping I'll have more success when I measure emoticon

Body measurements can be a useful way to track your progress. Many times you'll see a loss of inches even if the scale isn't moving. These are important Non-Scale Victories (NSV). To ensure accuracy, measure in exactly the same place and under the same conditions each time. Here are some instructions and tips to help you.

How to Take Body Measurements

Then record your Measurements on this page. These measurements are private, only seen by you.

Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR) Calculator - Your waist to hip ratio is an important wellness measure. It is a a quick and easy way to estimate body composition and describe body proportions. It reflects the degree of abdominal obesity a person exhibits. We will each work on improving our measures.

Body Mass Index - measures weight in relation to height. When you click the link below you will see you current BMI. Note where you are relative to a healthy BMI.
