Are the book recommended for people with diabetes or for the general vegetarian public?

I love this thread! So many good ideas and books to check out. I've been looking at Oh She Glows for a little while now. Maybe I will take the plunge and purchase it or at least see if my library has it to check out. Thanks for all the great suggestions, everyone! emoticon

I completely agree that "Isa Does It" by Isa Chandra Moskowitz isan awesome cookbook.

I have made several recipes from it and they are all fabulous. Overall, Isa is my favorite vegan cookbook author. I have a vast collection but keep going back to her cookbooks.

The cookbook "Big Vegan" is totally awesome. I bought in California at the Culinary Institute of America. They recommended it and I am so glad they did. I have not seen it in Canada but you could order it through either Amazon or a book store probably. It is written by Robin Asbell. Not many pictures but all the recipes are great. The ISBN is 978-0-8118-7467.

I just bought the kindle/ebook version of the Everyday Happy Herbivore cookbook. Really love it! I think it was only 3 bucks on amazon. We've already made two recipes, white enchiladas and Fiesta Bake. Both were yummy! Highly recommend!

The Chinese Vegan Kitchen is a good one, so is the Forks Over Knives cookbook. I collect cookbooks, so I have quite the repertoire. Not everything in it is vegan, but Vegetarian Cooking For Everyone by Deborah Madison is excellent! I also like Veggie Burgers Every Which Way and Wild About Greens, the former of which has quite a few vegan recipes and the few that aren't have easy substitutions, the latter is fully vegan and is a great way to get dark leafies into your diet. The Great Vegan Bean Book is another awesome cookbook that I use frequently. Good luck!

Each day I am grateful for nights that turned into mornings, friends that turned into family, dreams that turned into reality and likes that turned into love.

I quickly looked at Kris Carr's book yesterday. Seemed good. I did buy the Oh She Glows cookbook yesterday and I love it. It has beautiful pictures and I believe there is a picture for every recipe. Does anyone have or know anything about Straight From Earth by Myra Goodman and Marea Goodman?

I have made a lot of recipes from Kris Carr's Crazy Sexy Kitchen Cookbook, and vegan friends of mine living in Colombia really love Whole Grain Vegan Baking by Celine Steen!

Books by Kris Peters. Her Trader Joe's Vegetarian cookbook comes with vegan options and is very good. Her vegan baking books are excellent!

Hi Everyone, I'm looking to cook more vegan recipes, and expand my repertoire. I just received the Oh She Glows Cookbook, and it is fantastic! I highly recommend it. But I would like to add more vegan cookbook staples to my collection. Any suggestions?
