Most commercial chilli powders actually have cumin in them. You probably already have one that you like, but just fyi, if you're using that substitution and don't. Label reading wins again... :)

Thanks for the ideas everyone! I especially like the chili powder idea. Think I will try that next time. I thought about just cutting it out... but I think it'd be nice to find another spice/seasoning to add flavor as opposed to leaving them out and making it bland.

Thanks again,

-Ty

just leave the cumin out, no substitute is required... use seasonings you enjoy, make the recipe your own, season like a boss!

Hey! I tried a new recipe today - Black Bean & Tofu Wraps - and they were excellent... with the exception of the taste of cumin. I've had cumin in vegetarian recipes before, and I just do not care for the taste of it. Does anyone know a good substitute?

Thanks!

-Ty
