So you make plans.... but God has His.

Saturday, I dropped off the clothes at a Goodwill place
Sunday, rest
Monday, didn't call my mom, but continually helped a girl and boy on their ice skates that had fallen repeatedly. Being that I am not a good skater, I did my best. It must have been contagious because I fell later. I never fall.
Tuesday my clogging teacher canceled class. I ran errands for all immediately
Wednesday, I was by myself all day at home. So I cleaned and washed and cooked and cleaned some more.
Thursday, Orchestra was canceled. wondering what today will bring. I woke up at 5 am to help my daughter with her make up. She is going to a football game tonight and needed her brows done. I helped with that I guess.
Friday... I can't see the future. I would have never guessed the things that happened to me did, so we will see....

Here is my weekly goal list , not of practicing our instrument as you would expect , but of a good deed list. I believe to inspire others and ourselves and to become a better person, you must practice doing good. A habit of doing good leads to doing good automatically. I think musicians are cynical in nature, being judgy on our playing leads to being judgy in our lives. I believe discernment is a good thing, but most times, it goes over the line. Then we become cynics. I see this in myself and many musicians. So being "good" attentively can help with a positive attitude, a must in losing weight. I am not sure why but I know it is. Here is my list of positive action for this week. If you are a mom you are already a servant to your husband and kids. This is automatic now. I don't even think of not helping with them but Some action doesn't have to be action but of kind words too. It puts you in a place of humbleness and gratitude of others and how they mean to you. Not interrupting when someone is talking and spinning it on yourself, etc. This is my first list, so I am not expecting to be Ghandi or Mother Theresa by the end of the week. I will start small and work up to larger things in my family and into my community.

Every day give yourself a 5 minute pep talk, it starts with you being kind to yourself before you can be kind to others. Believe it or not, this is hard for me. I have to add this to the daily list below.

Saturday drop off Goodwill clothes and shoes
Sunday rest (go to church) volunteer every other week
Monday Call my mom and listen to her instead of talking about myself
Tuesday Compliment my clogging teacher for volunteering
Wednesday Collect more items for Salvation Army in my closet
Thursday Offer the orchestra librarian help with the music at rehearsal and set up chairs
Friday Deliver items to Salvation Army
