Moisturizers are key. I would often get chafed.... down there.... and it was very uncomfortable. But now I use something called a penis health creme and the entire area stays moisturized and protected. This creme contains Vitamins A, D and E and shea butter too. It really works. Obviously this info is for the guys but maybe there is a female product that is similar? Good luck.

Thanks for the advice! I went to Walgreens yesterday to look for body glide, but my local Walgreens didnt have it. I ended up buying "shea butter" (it looks and probably is very much like vasoline), the outside of the jar said "skin protectant" so I figured that was it.

It helped, that "swimsuit hickey" didn't get any worse at least :-)

(Love the "swimsuit hickey" term ... lol.... )

Hehe...I remember from swim team growing up that we always referred to these as "Swimsuit hickeys"...I guess that made it seem more "cool" to a teenager.

I haven't had a problem with them lately...but I've used a little vaseline in the problem spots on my skin before, & that seemed to reduce the chaffing to a certain degree.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to prevent chafing from swim suits, especially under the arm where the swim suit rubs against the skin when we swim?

I went swimming in my new swim suit yesterday and afterwards I had a big "burn" mark under my arm from rubbing against the swim suit and it hurts like heck :-) (It even determined my wardrobe for today as I couldn't stand have anything rubbing against it ... hehe :))

I figured I can't be the only swimmer with this problem & was hoping others may have some ideas how to prevent it :)
