I went camping this weekend and we walked quite a bit to the lake and back to our Camper. Tonight we will either go for a walk or a bike ride. On Friday night my Husband and I rode all the way around the lake we were camping on. It was about 5.5 miles. I know that doesn't sound like a lot but it's very hilly and I wanted to quit at like 1 mile and go back. But I pushed on and made it although my legs were really killing me.

Yeah,
I saw the little red notice telling me to change my calories. I got excited and switched my calories burned and it went up to 1210-1560 from 1200 to 1550. hahah... Really gave me an incentive to workout 2 more days of the week, ha.
Although, I have to say, I am getting in great shape! I used to feel like my lungs were going to collapse if I did jumping jacks. I NEVER understood how people could exercise for more than 30 minutes... I have been doing this for almost a month now (tomorrow will be my month's anniversary), and I no longer have a double chin... even when I look down, it is gone at all angles. So, even though the scale has only moved 7 lbs, I am super happy with the other developments.

Aubrey Jo~I have burned more calories then SP site says my goal is and it told me that I might want to change my cal count based on that and that it doesn't automatically change just because I burned more.

I did Jillian Michael's Cardio Kickboxing. I love doing her workouts, because my 7 and 10 year old girls have a hard time keeping up with it, and it makes me feel more confident about myself, haha.
The workout is about 27 minutes, but it is very intense. I did it before I ate this morning and it kicked my butt!
I heard it helps you lose fat faster, so I tried it... Won't be trying it again. I got a whole bunch of housework done, but I HAD to take a 1/2 hour nap because I felt like I was going to die... I'll stick to my, "eat half your breakfast-workout-eat other half and shower" routine, than you very much!
I also went on a different calculator and it was all about "Calorie Cycling". Seems to be working! I was feeling deprived, and upped my calories 150 above SP's recommendations, and I lost a pound and a half in the past five days... (See below where I was confused about my calories and feeling like crap...)

I like this one for figuring out calories... www.phord.com/cc/
And this one to figure out how to calorie cycle... pretty cool! That way, you can have days where you can have your cake and eat it, too... literally.

Walked the dog 4.5 miles in about 1hr and 20 min (lots of stops for street crossing and the dog!) to the library and back. Quite the workout today, my "dogs" are barkin!

Does mowing your lawn count? I did that for about 30 minutes until the stupid thing decided to start smoking and die on me! emoticon
So, I came inside, rehydrated, and did the Beach Body Workout from the Fitness RX magazine I picked up at Target the other day.
I've been working at this for 3 weeks, but had 4 days when we had to go out of town for a funeral that I had gained 4 lbs at! (I was hoping it was water weight, and it appears it was!) I still have 1 pound to go to get to the point I was before... but, it's okay. Taking it one day at a time. emoticon
I'm really loving Jillian Michael's Kickboxing cardio.
I am working on making myself do cardio at least 5 days a week. When I don't do it, I am finding my body craves it. I've been doing the high intensity interval training type cardio, as it is supposed to help burn fat faster... Hopefully, it will work. I am usually wiped out after exercising... making sure to eat a 200 calorie snack with carbs and protein afterwards.
Pretty awesome for a girl who only breaks a sweat doing yardwork and heavy gardening. emoticon

Question: [Yes, this is why hubby calls me Dwight Schrute] ~ My calories are set by Spark People at 1200-1550 a day. Even when I switch around exercise to 0 days a week, 3 days, 5 or 7 days... I am so super hungry when I exercise really hard, that I am finding it hard to stay satisfied. I am getting light headed sometimes, and at times having a little trouble forming thoughts... I had added fish oils for omega-3s & brain support... I have upped my protein, stay within my carb limits... I am not sure what I am doing wrong...
On days where I exercise hard, I suppose I ought to try and hit the 1550 mark? I've been doing 1350-ish and feeling pretty hungry.
The way I eat is every 3 hours because it is supposed to stave off hunger and rev your metabolism.

300 calorie breakfast
300 calorie lunch
300 calorie dinner
TWO 150-200 calorie snack

I'm wondering if I ought to use that for light days and then on the heavy exercise days do 5 300 calorie meals?
emoticon
Anyone else working too hard and feeling wiped out?

I want to take one this evening once the sun starts to set. It's freaking warm today...we've also got a tornado warning, so hopefully that walk will get done!

I've got a cleaning project tomorrow morning to take part in for my husbands place of employment. He's not feekling well, but that would be some really good exercise!

Woohoooo I got on that treadmill last night and kicked butt. I did 20 mins at 3.5/mph (which is an 18 min mile...though SP doesn't give that option) With a couple intervals of running!!!
Yay!

I haven't done much today but I've been cleaning the house on and off because my In-laws are coming for the weekend. I'll try and get something in today though.

Well I walked to the bank from the office and then back to other end of the shopping plaza to the tanning bed...then back to work! :o) Pedometer said it was about 0.10 of a mile. Not a lot but better than being lazy! Especially since it was pretty today!!!!

It wasn't much but a step back in the right direction: instead of a walk, I ran for 10 minutes on the treadmill last night! :o)

Tonight....a full 40 mins on there. Period. No questions or exceptions.

I did the elliptical for 45 minutes, walked for an hour and did Gilad Total Body workout for a half an hour. It feels so good to workout again.

I did okay on my half. Not great but wasn't really going for a time. I was using it as a training run for Kentucky Derby Half in 3 weeks.

It's that time of year! Many projects around the house and I'm loving being outdoors!

Today:

Raking and outdoor work/cleaning-90 minutes so far and more a little later

I ended up burning just over 1300 calories today!

WATP Express 4 Miles-55 mins

*We're thinking of taking a walk later since its 65 degrees plus today with rain snow mix later in the week. I will also get a little weight training in

Thursday night, I did do 10 minutes on the treadmill to supplement that mornings exercise. Friday I did a 20 minute mile on the treadmill, Sunday did 30 minutes @ 20 minute mile on the treadmill.
We have a tball game tonight, but I'm thinking of riding my stationary bike for about 30 minutes while hanging with the hubby.

Getting a new DVD soon from ebay: Suzanna Cox or something, it's a dance workout! :o)

I was on the devil, oh I mean the elliptical machine for 45 minutes! I hate that thing, but you burn more calories on it than the treadmill, so I am making myself stay on it.

I wish that I can get my DH to go walking with me, but he would rather drive somewhere, but I think that may change when it warms up better outside because he is really complaining that he wants to get rid of his belly, even though I think its sexy.
