WEEK 2 (FEB. 8-14)

1.Read SP article

2. Prepared the Graham Cracker Treats recipe. My refrigerator's freezer isn't large enough to hold a cookie sheet, so I cut a piece of cardboard to fit the freezer and placed the treats on that. The treats taste good without being so sweet that you come away craving more.
TOTAL: 50 points

3. Review a Spark fitness video.
I chose the "10-minute Crunchless Core Workout." It involves exercises to strengthen the body's core, using the principles of Pilates. We are given a brief introduction to Pilates techniques and we learn how to breathe properly and how to maintain proper form. We progress through exercises while seated on the floor and while kneeling, followed by single arm and leg raises(using opposite limbs). We are presented with exercise modifications to increase or decrease the level of difficulty. I had difficulty doing the number of repetitions called for, but I was able to do every exercise. The video ended with stretches for the shoulders and low back. Within about 10 minutes after the workout I felt energetic and refreshed.
I recommend this video.:-)

Sorry, no points here. I dislike graham crackers emensly and I very seldom eat ice cream anymore. When I do I am afraid graham crackers would ruin it. Just me. Hope the rest of you enjoy it. 3. Who doesnít like Sparkís fitness videos! They are a great tool for people to use that donít have dvdís or tapes handy to workout too! For this mini-challenge all I want you to do is choose a Spark fitness video to do and give us a review of it. 4. Last week on 2/5 it was national WEAR RED DAY to create awareness for women and heart disease and stroke. Why donít we take it up a notch and support this cause in week 2 of the February challenge. For this mini-challenge, I would like you to wear something red EVERY DAY this week. You can wear anything red from socks to shirts to shoes. Anything red will count! It has to be 7 days straight though to get the points. Below is a link to Go Red For Women.org. 5. It is SHOW the LOVE week here in week 2! February 14th is this weekend and it is the day for LOVE and ROMANCE. How will you be spending it? I know for me, I spend the day with my husband and kids. Itís a great day to let them know I love and appreciate them every day. Why not let your Spark friends know this? I am sure you have many Spark friends that are there for you in some pretty low times and for some very happy times, I know I do. Take the time this week to send them a special greeting. You can send them a goodie, write them a comment on their page or even send them a Spark mail. Just let them know you care and give thanks to them for being in your life. SHARE THE LOVE THIS WEEK! You will get 1 point per person you share the love to!
