So I didn't reach my goal, but I did lose 7lbs in less than 9 weeks and I'm ok with that! Plus I made it to Onederland during this challenge and I couldn't be happier about that. To celebrate, for Halloween I am Alice in Onederland. I made my costume and wore it to a party last night! I'll post pics either later today or tomorrow. Congrats to everyone on all your success with this challenge! I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween and I'm looking forward to the new challenge starting tomorrow! I need to think about what my goal is going to be!

I emoticon the new ME in the New Year! Love it!

Our house has had the first invasion of trick-or-treat candy already today. I took the kiddos to a music class, and unbeknownst to me, they had trick or treating after class. emoticon

oh well...one bite of a twizzler accidentally made it into my mouth...and a couple bat-shaped pretzels...but not too bad! LOL

I'm getting my hair cut in the morning. Woo Hoo!

Nix - so I Heart Me challenge is 110 days from today (which would be like, 206 starting the 1st - which is indeed 15 weeks).

New Year's is 66 days away from today, so, 62 days away from the first (and 8 weeks away!!!)

I say we do both - like NY is the half-way point to Valentine's Day Challenge!

But thats just my opinon :-)

You ladies are awesome! Nix is making us wait to hear! I'm too excited to wait... I made a huge dent in my calories this week and exercised a lot. I got possessed and got on the scale. Those size 18 Levi's fit better then ever. I weighed in the evening... after dinner! That is sooo not me!!! but I'm down 3.4 pounds! WOW... yay! I'm KEEPING IT OFF THIS TIME TOO!!!!!!

I say Valentine's Day. I love the "I Heart Me" name for the challenge!!!!!! Because loving YOURSELF is SO IMPORTANT!

I am not weighing in this week :-( TOM fell at the wrong time! arg! ah, well, I know I lost 24lbs at least. Thats a good number!

This week I am so busy I am not going to make it to the gym - but I will be raking leaves outside and getting in a yoga class, so all is not lost. But no running :-( ah, well, it's just one of those weeks!!!

Ok, I'm going to go ahead and weigh in today because I already know what it is and then I'll weigh in again on Sunday! I can't believe there's only 5 days left! I definitely want to make them count, I only need to lose 1 more lb to be officially no longer obese, just overweight. Those terms are crazy, because I definitely don't feel "obese"! I like the idea of the New Year/New Me Challenge but I'm down for whatever challenge you guys decide on. Can't wait till Sunday, lets make the scales give us a treat not a trick! Woo Hoo!

hehe sorry for the death-by-suspense. I am just nervous about the scale and don't want to disappoint myself this close to the end of the challenge. I am sure I wont make it to my original goal, but really I dont care. I LOVE this challenge, love you ladies, and love myself enough to appreciate the progress I HAVE made! As long as it says 299 or less on Saturday (or Sunday? which day should we weigh!?), then I am all good. hehe

New Year and New Me Challenge...? Starting 2011 Right Challenge...? For the Love of ME Challenge...? I Heart ME Challenge...? Hmmmm... the possibilities are endless, really. hehe I honestly do not mind what we do, how long we go for, whatever... I just want a new challenge and I want all of you awesome ladies to join us! That's all that matters to ME. Time doesn't effect my decisions... :)

Ooooooooh yes, who is weighing in today? Or are you all waiting to weigh with me on Saturday? No... Sunday. I just decided... Sunday is the day! LOL This challenge ends that day, and I will post my results THAT day! Woo hoo! hehehe

I just took a quick peek at the calendar. After Halloween, there are 9 weeks until New Year's Day. There are 15 1/2 weeks until Valentine's Day. And there are 25 weeks until Easter! gosh...25 weeks? that's almost half a year. LOL

Anyway, I don't care what the next challenge is....just sign me UP! :)

Nix, I can't wait until your weigh in. I just know it's gonna be BIG news, girl! All that bike riding and sore butt-edness has to be making a difference, right? You're totally KILLING me with suspense! :P

emoticon Sorry I have been MIA... busy weekend... more than normal. But I was keeping track and all that... just wasn't posting over the weekend... but, here I am!!

emoticon emoticon Bittersweet... It's our last week!! I'm sad to see this challenge end, also... but we ARE going to make a new challenge... do you guys want to go until New Years? Valentines Day? Pick one... I am with you for whatever you ladies want!! TOTALLY! I agree, this is my fave challenge/group EVER!! Let's keep it up, ok? We are awesome.. and I love you all! Smooch! :)

emoticon Ouch my butt!! HAHA We rode our bikes as a family again and this time, my everything hurts... I feel like I have bruises on my "girl parts". lmao My hubby is totally laughing at me, but I really have to get a better seat. That one is murdering me! We rode this HUGE hill by our house and back and forth for an hour... I was so sweaty and panting, but omg it was awesome and so fun!!

emoticon The weekend was really great, busy but awesome. Good food (I made chicken chili) and again went to the grocery store (my usual weekend trip) and stocked up on fruits and veggies and did my big plan (clean, cut, pull from stems, etc) and everything is all easily accessible now. I do love it :)

emoticon How is everyone doing? Final week!!! I say lets kick it up a notch!! I am going to do my final weigh in on Saturday or Sunday ... what do you girls think of that? Who's up for a few bits of extra cardio this week?? :))

Dani ~ Hi sugar! :) XO I want to do something to my hair... but I kinda want to wait until summer, so maybe that will be my 100 pound loss mark reward. I haven't decided. Danielle - for the record I say Mandi Moore (and my second choice is Jessica Simpson). And CONGRATS on 50lbs, thats so freakin AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Have you done your B/A pics? I am so excited to see!!!

As it stands, I have lost 24lbs for this challenge and a total of 44lbs since my start on SP nearly 6mos ago. wow. :-) I took my B/A pics this morning to avoid the TOM week that is coming up (I'm not weighing the rest of the week either, but I was at 261 yesterday).

Good times! I hope we are doing a NYE challenge, cause this group of girls have been great! :-)

I couldn't help it, girls. I caved, and I weighed one day early. OMG! Check it out!!!

22.9 lbs lost on this challenge!

Down 2.5 pounds this week! YeeHaw! 5.5 to go to get to my trick or treat goal...I won't make it...but WHO CARES??? As of today, I've lost a total of 50.5 pounds!!!!!!!!! Oh girls, I'm so HAPPY!!

Now I get to make an appointment to get my hair done!! I'm going to do something different, I think, to celebrate the new me. I posted some pics on my blog a few days ago...now's your last chance to weigh in on what you think I should do. Of course, pics will follow! I'm nervous. I can't believe I'm actually thinking about cutting off my hair. It's crazy. But this is the NEW Dani...and the NEW Dani is fearless and confident and strong. The NEW Dani can accomplish anything she sets her mind to, and the NEW Dani can certainly pull off short hair.

OMG.

50.5 pounds gone. In 142 days! That just leaves me....speechless. Thank you, Done Girls....I couldn't have made it this far without you!

I am totally up for a new years challenge. it keeps me motivated! lets do it!

I am down to 262 - which is 7lb short of my goal. I am hoping to reach 260 (I get to color my hair!) before halloween, but as luck would have it, even if I did, I don't think i'd have time to actually get it colored before the 31st anyway. oi vey!

I am excited for 255 though - which is mark my 50lbs since starting SP in May. 50lbs! Holy crap! :-)

I'm kinda getting sad that Halloween is so quickly approaching! This is the BEST challenge group ever...we ARE going to stick together for a New Year's challenge, aren't we? Just think...we could all post pictures of ourselves all dolled up for New Year's Eve, looking slim and sexy!

I have a busy weekend ahead of me. Tomorrow, I'm hosting a shower for a friend of mine who is adopting a little girl from China. They leave on November 2, and will get her on November 7! I'm soooo thrilled for them! But I gotta get my crap together...there's a LOT of work to be done in the next 24 hours. LOL

Win or lose on the challenge, I'm still DONE being the fat girl. The 120+ pounds I've already lost is never coming back. I would be happy to make it through the holidays and not gain! I would love to be part of a new years challenge. You girls on this thread are awesome. Would like to stick with you.

The important thing is making healthy choices to better your life. At the high of my challenge I felt achieved. I'd like to get back to that feeling.

Hello everyone ;) Well I'm pretty sure I'm not going to reach my goal of 172. With this surgery and down time I'm lucky I have been able to stay at 184. I still have a little over a week to go so we'll see if I can shed a few more.... I have lost 18 lbs since the start of the challenge so that isn't anything to be ashamed of! I hope everyone is doing wonderful!

well...I'm not going to make my trick or treat goal either, barring some miracle. I originally set my goal at 222, because that would mean 20% total body weight loss since I started in June. Sparkpeople told me that it wasn't a realistic goal, though...LOL...and wouldn't let me set up my nutrition tracker for that, so my nutrition tracker goal is to be at 222 by the end of November, which I should totally be able to do before then! At this point, I'm down 48 lbs...I'm REALLY wanting to drop those last 2 lbs to make it an even 50 this week! REALLY want to do that!

I have set in my head that I'm going to do something different with my hair when I hit the 50 lb mark...and I really need a hair cut and color. BAD. We're going to be taking some family pictures in the next week or so...so I want to get my hair done before that. I might have to break down and do it anyway, even if I don't make the 50 lb mark. Can't be having ugly hair in the family pics! LOL

Anyway, if I can reach 228, I'm going to be thrilled...that's 50 lbs, people! after that, I really don't care too much. But...8 lbs to go...in what? 11 days? probably not. Oh well...I have an even bigger goal of 180 by May 4 next year. That's my birthday, and the day that I have to renew my driver's license. I want my weight to be what it says on my driver's license. LOL That's a mere 50 pounds from now....I think it's totally doable. Oh, and I plan to be in ONEderland by New Year's day. emoticon

I dont know if I will have a loss, but I am working on it! :) I am just as excited as you are, but I know last week wasn't a good one for me... I will get to my Christmas goal by Halloween... Ok, so I know I'm not going to get to 188 by Halloween, but I'm working on at least 198! We shall see! I know my problem, my problem is that I haven't been exercising as much as I should! I woke up at 5am and went walking/running, for some reason though I just can't seem to make a habit of it. Sleep almost always wins! Btw, where's everyone at?

Got on the scale this morning and gained... back to 265.2lbs. The kids are home for fall break this week. My thighs are burning from running and skating the past 3 days. I've been exercising like an athlete, just I ate too much yesterday. The day before we went to Red Lobster to celebrate my husband's birthday. TOM just left. The scale stinks. 265 is annoying. I'm just going to keep trying. One day soon it will move down and stay down. It's gotta, just because of these new tone muscles. Grrrr.

Nix - way to go on the donut! You are doing SO GOOD! Today we are having this party at work and my co-worker made [amazing] baklava...and I am trying like hell to stay away from it. *sigh* I know I am doing myself good in the end [right? hee hee]

I already have a bucket list and I look at it about every 3 months to see what I can do to scratch something off it. Nix, I am excited to read yours!!!


Like I said - baklava wednesday. *groans* Ah, well. Such is life. I told her to make me some at Christmas :-) hee hee. I am only one week away from posting B/A pics. I am excited!!!

This week, I challenge you to... create a life list. Some people call it a "bucket list" ... but basically I want you to write a list of everything you want to accomplish before you die. It can be anything.... everything! There has to be some things you want or NEED to do in order to feel that your life is complete... they don't have to be health related at all, but can be if you wish!

Maybe you want to do a 5k? Learn to Scuba Dive? (that's one of my goals/rewards.. to be certified) Visit a specific country... something!

I started mine tonight and will finish soon and post it in my blog for everyone to check out. This might get you thinking of how your life is, can, and WILL change with this journey. You might think... right now... that some things are not possible... you don't have enough money... you aren't healthy enough.. etc... but... there are BUNCHES of years before you "kick the bucket"... lets see how great those lists can get!
There's NO WAY you have done ALL you wanted to do in this life!! :)

oh man ladies am I exhausted! I feel like i have been tired for a week straight. When can I just sleep in??? The no sweets challenege ....I just realized (like literally this second) last night I ate a handful of candy corn. I didnt even THINK about it. Wow. What a lesson in mindful eating huh? You know its bad when you can just eat something and totally space you are on a Challenge. Ugh!!! well, I guess a slip up is bound to happen - at least it wasnt me intentionally breaking my own challenge. hee hee. if that makes it any better.

20.4 lbs lost on this challenge! 8 to go!

Down THREE pounds this week! YeeHaw! An today is CD1 (the first day) of my period...so I should drop at least a couple of pounds over the next few days, too, if this month is like the last few. I'm so happy!!! I'm *this* close to being in the 220's, and I can't remember the last time I saw that on the scale! yay! yay!! YAY!!!

I went to Zumba class this morning at the gym. I'm by far the biggest girl in the class...but you know what? I DID IT! The last time I did this class, it was 45 minutes long and it was HARD! Since then, they've rearranged the class schedule and made the class 60 minutes long...and today I made it through the whole thing without resting at all! An HOUR!

I was pretty sweaty...but then again...that's sorta the point, right? Lesson learned, though...not a great idea to moisturize before zumba class...I had Olay Regenerist running in my eyes. OUCHIE! LOL

I've found myself more willing to get out and exercise again this week. Something happened and I am fired up again! I found myself taking the stairs at work (FOUR flights, several times a day!), and I even ran outside on the school track Sunday morning. Although, the ragweed just about did me in...so I'm gonna have to work to get myself out there again. It was GOOD though! Who knew I could run an entire 1/4 mile without stopping?? I've never--I mean NEVER, not even in high school--done that in my entire life!

alright, girls...so my spark is back, and now I have to get my bootie in the shower and get to work! Have a great day!!!

OK, I'm new to the whole challenge process and I didn't realize we were supposed to come back every week, I just thought we were to come back at the end. (Ok, don't laugh too hard! DANIELLEBREEN- how exciting that you signed up for your first 5k! I am very excited for you! Keep us posted on how C25k goes.

My good news? Uh.....I slept a full 8 hours last night. This does not seem like much to celebrate, I know, but I am house sitting and NEVER sleep well there...but last night I was out like a light. I love it!

Sweets challenge prevented me from eating all the yummies in the house yesterday. :-) God bless challenges. Maybe when this halloween one is done I will do one spanning until Thanksgiving ;-) hee hee hee. I guess I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

Mini-challenge check in:

(yes, I know I'm a day late, but I was too tired last night and fell asleep before I got around to posting here! LOL)

my GOOD NEWS for the week is that I signed myself up to run my first 5K with girls from work...in a little less than 2 months. AND..it totally worked to get me motivated! I went to the gym yesterday morning and ran again for the first time in over two weeks! I had gotten to the point on the C25K program where I was supposed to be running for 25 minutes straight (never happened, though!), so I backed it up and decided to start over again at week 4 day 1. I'm going to give myself a chance to build up my stamina a little more, and plan to work it until I can RUN it! WOO HOO!


I wrote a blog yesterday that I'd really love to share with you girls. Take a moment when you can, and read it, will ya?

This week I'm down 3 (!$@*#!)lbs more to put me at a solid 181.

Just 4 more lbs to go before Halloween to make me 15lb goal! I'm so on this!

My hubby definitely redeemed himself... see my blog for more details! hehe SO exciting! YAY!!

It was VERY tempting to eat some fresh made chocolate chip cookies. Really. And the person that made them is like... queen of the kitchen. When she makes something, I always love it. But, I couldn't let you down (therefore letting myself down)... so... I learned to "just say no" haha. Man, my hubby was a drug dealer for that! Pushing chocolate chip cookie goodness on me and trying to make me succumb to my urges. Grrr. He needs to be spanked for that... but... again, my blog entry explains why he is on a "no punishment" kick.... for at least a week I will be all mushy to him. HEHE

Oh wow! You are a runnin' fool, girl! And YAY for 2 less pounds and OMG 41 pounds lost!? You are totally awesome, babe!! WOO HOOOOOOOO!

PHOENIX - What was your hubby thinking? Hee hee hee. Good job not beating him though - that would have taken some explaining! And way to go NOT eating those cookies!!! Talk about temptation! I mean cookies in general, but homemade ones! Seriously! :-) I havent had any run-ins with sweets today (or yesterday I should say - I havent gone to bed yet, so its still thursday to me). But I know it's inevitable. To run into them I mean, not eat them ;-)


Well ladies, Thursday I sucessfully did another day of Week 3 on C25k, with the bonus of running an extra minute at the end (4 consecutive minutes. heck yeah!). My doc appoint went well and she's impressed with my weight-loss and told me I am doing great. And last but not least, I am down 2 more lbs from my last weigh-in, putting my offical weight at 264 and my offical weight loss at 41lbs. I am doing a dance right now. Seriously! Lots of good news to report today. emoticon
