I am on week 2 of C25K. I absolutely HATE running, but I have been enjoying it so far. I am determined to run the Turkey Trot with my hubby and brother this year. I have walked it the past 2 years.

Thanks for the info on the 'NO CAP' You are right, I think we are all here to be honest with ourselves! I love having to be accountable to all of you, it's what helps me go!

I want to be addicted to exercise not food!

No cap for us ladies - exercise to your hearts content. I trust that everyone is being honest with themselves and since this isn't a race, it's for your own personal well-being.

I started C25K tonight...just had a whim and did it - haha! So 30 minutes for me! Woot!

I dont have to worry about a cap on my minutes because I am not a maniac that works out for HOURS in a day. hehe I think the cardio tracker thingy will give you up to 24 points a day... 1 point per 5 minutes of cardio, so...what?... up to 120 minutes a day it will track and/or give you credit for? Glad I'm not a maniac... yet. haha

Thanks X, I didn't see it adding so I got worried. I am beat now though and my knees are killing me. I was planning on riding tomorrow but i might just have to take a break! We'll see how I feel in the morning!

Also be advised that SparkAmerica puts a CAP on the amount of minutes it will let you log per day 120 minute so that people cannot cheat on the leaderboard. Are we going to have a cap too?

Well hello again ladies :). I have a vacation at the end of this month, so I don't know if I will make 1000 minutes before then, but gosh darnnit I am going to do my best. Thanks again Jenn for starting this challenge, it surely does keep me accountable :).

Let's see, yesterday was Day 3 of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, that was 27 minutes. And today I did 20 minutes on the elliptical before my 60 minute Zumba class. I am exhausted. I need a break tomorrow, my body is crying for it, but it's still not a bad start to the month.

August 1: 27 minutes
August 2: 80 minutes

So excited about this challenge. I have some upcoming medical things, so I hope this will keep from getting lazy. I vow to get minutes in, even if they cant be that intense. Do I include my time spent doing strength training also, or just my cardio???

Wow ladies! I'm SO pumped by all the new sign-ups this month! Looks like we're all ready to kick it in the butt and get this DONE!

If you want to know how we do this you can check out the thread for July. Some people like to check in every day with their minutes and type of exercise. Other people keep a detailed list that they re-post with every update. Whatever you want to do is up to you. SparkAmerica also tracks your minutes and type of exercise if you sign up.

I Did it in July.

For August I do not want to count my 15 minute walk to and from work because if I count that every dad that's 600 fitness minutes that aren't always "Fitness." If I make that walk in 10, I'll count it!

I pledge to do 15-25 minutes of Yoga every day, and Ride my bike at least 3 days during the week.

I am Starting off August with 18 Minutes!

XPHOENIX - If you sign up to track your minutes with SparkAmerica you can log your fitness minutes and it keeps track of your week and month for you. Otherwise, many of the women from last month just re-posted an updated list of minutes per day with the activity that they did. You can check out the 1000 Fitness Minutes in July thread for examples.

And EVERYTHING counts - cardio, strength, stretching, mowing the lawn, and cooking dinner (if you work up a sweat doing it!)

We had so much fun in July, we're doing it AGAIN!
