Well I lost 9.6 lbs.... only .4 lbs away. Didn't quite reach the 10 lb mark but I am still happy with myself! There's always September...............

I started this challenge late, I lost 7 lbs but my actual weigh in day is Thursday. I too will save that loss for a Sept challenge.

I lost 8 pounds officially, try not to get weighed until Friday so if we do a September challenge, I'll save that loss for September.

congrats on the 5 pounds DECOCOVAINILLA and STEPPYSUE! I've not been so successful...I keep spiking up and down but I'm down 3 pounds from friday and plan to keep going down! I will make this goal. Currently 2 pounds down 8 pounds and 9 days to go! How is everyone else doing???

I'm excited to join this challenge even though the month is nearly half over. I started Weight Watchers AGAIN yesterday and weighed in at 265. So my goal is 255 by Aug 31. hat's a Tuesday and officially I weigh in on Friday so I'm going to cheat and say by September 3, 2010 I WILL LOSE 10 POUNDS! emoticon

August is going pretty good so far! I've managed to exercise everyday and keep in my calorie range. I would love to get in more exercise videos. I also get to start going to my school gym for free starting August 1st and will have it free till next summer since I will be attending classes so I am really looking forward to going to the gym again!!

I'm getting back into my walking routine, watching my portions, and cutting out the rampant evening snacking. So far, so good.
One thing I've found - eating a big salad before dinner seems to keep the munchies at bay later in the evening.

So...for all of you participating...how's August going for you so far? What kind of plan do you have in place that you will utilize in order to help you reach this month's goal?

For me, I'm going to make 3 small goals daily, with #1 being to stay within my calorie range. I'm hoping that by focusing on those small goals every day I'll be able to seemlessly reach my bigger goals. Well...that's that plan anyway! :)

I think 10 lbs. might be a bit steep (that's almost 1000 calorie per day deficit), but hopefully that will be motivation!

This is my personal goal...at least 10 pounds (I could technically lose 15 since I just gained 5 pounds of water-weight on vacation).

Anyway, those with the same (or similar) goal are encouraged to join me on my quest. We could all use the support and extra motivation for sure!!
