super-long? psh!

I'm annoyed as heck at your mom, Nix! How uncool of her to be forcing unhealthy foods on you...and especially on your son, who's been doing SO great. I hope that you guys are able to get right back on track with no more obstacles in your way! I think the scale hiatus is a GREAT idea...but I *so* can not do that. I am seriously obsessed with weighing on the scale. I do it every day...sometimes more than once a day. (you know...if you weigh AFTER you poop, it's always a better number! HA!)

I gotta get off here before I get sucked in. It's 9:15 and both kids are awake but playing quietly in their rooms...I had best take advantage of that!! I really have to finish the toy organization before I let them get up and at 'em....or all my work will be for naught.

OH, and a Steelers fan, eh? Well...we'll see ya this year in the playoffs! ;-)

Have a great day, sparkadoodles! emoticon

Alyssa ~ Traditionally, we decorate for Christmas on Thanksgiving to kick off the season, but my mother and her boyfriend were here for Thanksgiving and the house was just too crowded and blah! So we waited a few days to do it. Last night we got to it. Decorating in our house includes moving furniture, dragging in huge containers full of things, etc... just a BIG chore, but YAY for cardio and a cleaner house!! lol

Also, after Thanksgiving tradition includes - deep cleaning the kitchen and writing the menu for Christmas. We will work on that today :) How about you? Anything you care to share with us? Tradition? Plan?

Echo ~ Brave YOU for even looking at the scale. I want nothing to do with it. My mother was here for almost 2 weeks and shoveled things into my mouth so regularly that I dont even want to talk about it. lol She would "pick up" KFC for dinner or other things like that after I had already made dinner for me and my son. Then she would pout if I didn't want any. SO lame. Sucks when people don't see how hard we try and it sucks even more when our successes are back tracked. You will get back on it soon, babe. No stress!! Everyday is a lesson... :)

Dani ~ haha your posts look similar to mine... all extra long :) I love it!! Ooooooh, great mall adventure for you! WOW!!! You are so amazing :) I also went into the mall this weekend and guess what....? The food court grossed me out instead of enticed me! VICTORY IS MINE!! haha I have always hated the mall, but we needed new shoes, so we went... I was SO nervous about going through that part, but... I didn't buy (or WANT) anything there!! I cant believe how much progress I am making! YAY!

You accomplished so many things yesterday! Wow!! I had a similar day, but I did 5 loads of laundry :( My Steelers killed also though! YAY!! While decorating the house, geez... that was a workout! I had to move furniture and figured "while I am already here..." and did tons more. My son doesn't have school so we are going to tackle a few other little projects today. YAY for motivation! :)

Beth ~ Scale isn't always cooperative. Dont give up on yourself. I am actually taking a scale hiatus for 2 weeks. I dont want to see a yucky number there and lose my motivation that I was trying SO hard to find again. As long as you know you're doing the right things... doesn't matter what the scale shows. Keep it up, babe. You rock! XOXO

Everyone else... where are you? Must I Spark-Stalk your Spark Pages and comment you to death?! Tsk tsk... It's one of my favorite jobs and I'm quite good at it :) Hope everyone is well. Let us know, we miss ya when you're gone! XOXOXOXOXOXO

SUPER productive day! one load of laundry done (ran out of soap); kids clothes sorted and ready for storage; kitchen cleaned and fridge cleaned out; plastic storage bins bought and toys (partly) sorted and organized; kids entertained, hugged and kissed; outdoor Christmas decorations bought and halls partially decked; dinner cooked; weekly meal plan completed; groceries bought and put away; Chiefs game watched (we WON!). Now if I could only get my brain to turn off so I could go to sleep! *sigh*

OK, so I had a big moment yesterday. BIG.

I went to the mall yesterday afternoon. I was meeting my mom there and she was dropping off my kids before she headed to work. I got there a few minutes early, so I wandered around a bit, and ended up going into a REGULAR store-Jones New York-and you know what? I didn't even feel uncomfortable in there!! I knew for certain that the clothes in that store would fit me! (well, the shirts, anyway!) I even got up the courage to pull a size 16 curvy boot cut jean off the shelf and tried it on! Now, it did NOT fit. It was still gapping about 3 inches in the tummy. But...I got them up over my hips and *almost* buttoned! I mean, seriously? A size SIXTEEN?? (and we're not talking 16W here...but just 16) I was sooooo excited!! Oh, I *will* be back to try them on again! I took pics on my cell phone, so I can compare in a couple of weeks.

OH...and before I forget...I discovered a new and exciting food tonight! Have you guys seen these?? www.bluediamond.com/index.cfm?navid=
32

Blue Diamond Oven Roasted Almonds! Let me tell you...A-MAZE-ING. I bought the dark chocolate and the butter toffee flavors! They're sooooooo good!

alright...totally getting sleepy here. Guess I had better hit the sack while I can.

*hugs*

I'm glad everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Inspiring on everyone's self control! I should take a lesson... hahaha.

In all technicality I had two thanksgivings. One at work, and my boyfriend's moms. And the worse part? ( I work in a deli, and we make dinners for people out of cheap garbage that simply makes me want to be vegan) They each had nothing but the Deli's stupid pre-made meals... So just nibbles and wine for me... woo! Haha.

So anyone have any after thanksgiving traditions they get to embark on now?

Margy ~ Ooooh great work! 6 pounds down = WOO HOO!!!

Dani ~ You rock!!

Robyn ~ YAY!!! Onederland!!!! WOOHOOOOOO!! I'm here with you. I know what you mean about the weather making me feel unmotivated. Snow = blah! I want SO much to do something, but I let myself slide for a few days while my mom was here and feel like rubbish. Grr! I need to work on that for SURE! This week, I am kicking butt! 100%!!!!

Paisley ~ Ooooh lucky you not liking pie!! There are many 10 kinds of pie that I reallllly like, so passing it up SUCKS. :( You did great, so proud of you, babe! :)

Pixxie ~ Awwww thanks for your kind words :) I do what I can for my Done Sisters! Always!

Carrie ~ Great weigh in, babe! Woo hoooooo! And it's my full pleasure to support you. You do the same for me, always! :) I'm with you... baby steps!!

Joyce ~ Doing the mini challenges are all your choice... but I'm SO glad you are doing some! YAY for de-cluttering. Great workout!!

5Watermelons ~ Yay for another loss!! WOO HOOOOO!!

Beth ~ OMG you are amazing!! So much exercise on Thanksgiving!!! I kept really busy and washed dishes and cleaned the kitchen for more than 2 hours at night, but the day went well, so I have no regrets at all!!

Sarah ~ Good for you babycakes! Screw it for 3 days out of the year. I DID count cals, but I just was curious how I would do this year and I SHOCKED myself! Glad to see I can control myself... (will tell u about it at the end of this post). From now on I know I can trust myself... was a great success for me to see :)

Sharon ~ You can do this. Great work so far! XO

Darlene ~ OMG you lost 6 pounds!? Amazing!! You are awesome!!!

Thanksgiving was great for me. My mother was here for 10 days (she just left this morning) and I was WICKED lazy all of those days besides taking care of the kids, running errands with her, and shopping. OMG. I hate shopping, so it was a little torturous, but I survived anyway :) lol

Thanksgiving day was great! Mostly restful and while everyone had their gravy, potato salad, ham, stuffing, blah blah blah (fat, calories, gooooo)... I had a totally seperate dinner! Yes, sounds extreme, but... wasnt!! I roasted a chicken while we baked the ham. And when my mom boiled the potatoes for potato salad, I stole a few cups of potatoes before she "gooed" them up and put them to the side for myself. I also cooked some carrots and made a nice little side salad with vinaigrette. I added one tsp of butter to my potatoes and a little pepper and it was all SO terribly yummy!! And less than 600 calories! Was probably the best Thanksgiving meal EVER... and then... I didn't eat dessert!! WHAT an achievement!

This week was a little rough as I was out a lot and overdid it a few times and didn't get enough exercise in, but... I am still on track. And I'm proud of myself! :)

I did okay for Thanksgiving not good by any means but I took much smaller portions then I normally do on Thanksgiving and half slices of pie and bread. I passed on all the fatting drinks and pop.. Which was good! We will see how I do on Monday at weigh in! My cloths are getting to big for me again which is a great sign!

Hi all...
It's been a little while since I last posted(sickness and internet issues...*sigh), But I am still working on my "heart me" challenge.

In my last post... 298 lbs
As of this am .... 292 lbs

Not as much lost as I'd like, but I had gained a few lbs back (due to the above mentioned sickness = no exercise). I have been "back on track" for a week and have lost the extra lbs plus 6 more... woo hoo!!

This loss is 6 lbs down, 9 more before New Years! I know I can do that! (I think I can, I think I can...lol)

Looks like ya'll are doing GREAT!! Way to go on the changes you've made to be a healthier you!! Keep at it...we can all achieve our heart me goals!!

Hello everyone! So Thanksgiving. Good Day. ;-) I didnt count calories. It's my professional opinion that calories don't exist on three days out of the year: Christmas, Thanksgiving and your birthday. This sort of logic is only good for people who have no trouble getting back on the wagon one day after they step off. I recognize not all people can do this. *shrugs* anyhooo. for me, I didnt count calories (or even worry about it), which was nice.

Starting tomorrow I am back with it though. A run will kick off the week and P90X starts monday. I am not thrilled about waking up at 5am (and its always harder in the winter when your cozy in bed!). But, I know its a necessary evil and I know it'll do me good :-)

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

I don't think I did too bad, but that's usually the kind of thinking that gets me in trouble! At dinner, I did try several dishes, but it was small scoops and just a taste of the dressing and only 1 slice of something for dessert. I walked 1 mile in the morning and strength trained before dinner, then afterwards walked another 3.5 miles.
Hopefully there wasn't too much damage done yesterday!!

If it's amazing, it won't be easy. If it's easy it won't be amazing. If it's worth it you won't give up. If you give up you're not worth it.

Well, everybody....how did it go??

I am pretty pleased with myself overall...I didn't even attempt to try to count calories or track my nutrition today...but I did pretty dang well, all things considered. Between lunch and dinner, I did eat THREE deviled eggs and THREE stuffed portobella mushrooms today. Also two helpings of roasted potatoes and two of my mini pumpkin pies...plus tons and tons and tons of veggies. I also had quite a bit of fruit salad (no sugar, so a very good choice). I avoided the chips and dips, the stuffing (other than just a bite to taste it), the mac n' cheese, the hawaiian rolls, the pumpkin cake, the cookies (there were a MILLION cookies), and all but maybe four bites of mashed potatoes. Of course, I'm a vegetarian, so no turkey for me...that part's easy.

Tomorrow is a new day, and in the grand scheme of things, one day without tracking is not going to derail my success. I made GOOD choices today....so that in itself is a HUGE victory! Funny what that little bit of sugar has done to me though...I am dying to go in to the kitchen right now and tear into our left overs. Like a crazy woman! But I'm certainly not hungry...I just want to eat.

I'm going to make some sleepytime tea and wait for the cravings to pass. Because I know that they will.

It was SO fun seeing family today! Some of them live in St. Louis and I haven't seen them since we went to a wedding in May (before I started sparkpeople). The looks on their faces when they saw me were priceless!! I got a lot of "attaboys" and accolades today....so nice to have all that encouragement! But I'm realizing that ultimately, I'm not doing it for any of those reasons. Know what felt the best?? I was actually able to hang out with all of these super skinny women in my family (they're all size 4 or smaller) and not feel self conscious...not even for a minute! I'm by far still the largest woman in the room...BUT..I no longer feel so aware of my body, and just how much space I inhabit, you know??

I love this new lifestyle!! and emoticon

I'm feeling like my heart is very full and overjoyed tonight, and I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for the part you've played in my success. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated.. My doctor's appointment went well.. No loss but then no gain either so I maintained my weight from my shopping trip. Today I go to the dietitian again. I don't think this one will go quite as well.

My exercise has taken a slide since I got hurt and I'm finding it difficult to remain active because of it. And because of this, my eating has taken a negative turn. I'm going to use my appointment today as a shake up to get going again.

For the mini-challenges, I'm still working on the cleaning one Phoenix!! Wow.. never realized how much clutter I have! I'm working at staying active, it's not a holiday here so I'm not adapting a holiday recipe and Saturday I'm going to be spending time with my mom, we're going shopping! On Sunday, I'm going to my cousin's baby shower. That is going to be fun.. the majority of the women in my family in a big room.. good times! My aunts are a riot!

Joyce

Ok girls...I hope everyone has their game face on, and a plan in place to be successful tomorrow!!!

For me, here's the plan: I'm taking a giant veggie tray with greek yogurt dip, and a giant fruit salad...so I plan to fill up at least 1/2 my plate with fruits and veggies. Then, I'm also taking roasted root vegetables (to eat instead of the mashed potatoes) and whole wheat corn muffins. AND...I just finished making some low-calorie mini pumpkin pies...and I tried one...DELICIOUS! :) They're made in muffin cups, so they have built in portion control! YAY!

My cousin is bringing some fresh asparagus (drool)...and I know there will be plain green beans (nothing "supreme" at our table!)...there will be plenty of other stuff to tempt me, I'm sure, but I plan to just take a couple bites of the things that really interest me, and let the stuff that I don't really care for slide. Nothing tastes as good as the fact that I'm TOTALLY rocking my "goal" pants for Thanksgiving dinner...they are even a little baggy! :)

Tomorrow is going to be COLD with a high of only 32 degrees, so the idea of getting outside for the annual cousins' football game is probably nixed...too bad, too...this is the first year EVER in my entire life that I'm actually not intimidated by the idea! Oh well...maybe we can have a Wii challenge or something!

Either way, I know that I'm going to be successful, and I'm SO excited to have a plan! This year we have so much to be Thankful for, indeed.

So anyway....the hubby and I solidified our bet tonight. *gulp* He currently weighs 197 lbs. I am currently 25 pounds heavier than him...and we've made a bet that by Valentine's Day, I will weigh less than he does. That's a BIG bet. Luckily for me, he's headed home to Ireland for 2 weeks starting on Saturday, and they eat like CRAP. LOL But the stakes are high...we agreed tonight that whoever wins this bet gets to control ALL tv watching in the house for an entire month, and the loser has to watch without complaint. Imagine....I could make him watch Desperate Housewives! Grey's Anatomy! Glee! LOL Now, if he wins, ladies...I'm screwed. It'll be nothing but documentaries on the History channel about the Nazis. LOL Now *that* is what I call motivation!

Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone! And for those of you who are not in the US, take a moment tomorrow anyway to thank God for His abundant blessings in your life. emoticon

SW 206.5
CW 200.5

So down 6lbs so far, hoping to break into Onederland on this weeks weigh in.

It has bee so cold for almost a week here -15C to -30C (4F to -22F). Hard to feel like doing anything but hide under the blankets! We are braving the cold tonight to go to the Festival of the Trees, which will certainly get us all in the holiday spirit! I hope all my American friends have a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING, I am jealous of that holiday spirit that comes along with Thanksgiving, but I am not too upset that I don't have any extra holiday temptations :)

Today's my weigh in day...a day late because I just got back from vacation last night. I actually weighed before we left on Friday, and my weight is the same today...so no loss while we were on vacation...but NO GAIN, either! I'll take that! And I managed to lose 1.5 lbs this week, so that's OK with me. emoticon

We rented a cabin in Branson, and mom and I did all of our own cooking (except for one meal when we went to the Showboat Branson Belle...I even ate dessert and LOVED every single bite!) I managed to even get in some exercise! I was out running/walking in the complex...and several people who I passed along the way made comments about how I was hardcore for doing it there with all the hills! Funny enough, I was totally digging the hills...loving the challenge and the realization that not so long ago, I'd have done anything to avoid having to walk up them! LOL

Anyway, without further adieu:

SW: 228
Goals: 215 by New Year's Day, 195 by Valentine's Day

Last week 11/15: 224
This week: 222.5
(-1.5)

Total weight lost on this challenge: 6.5 lbs!
Total weight lost since June 5, 2010: 55.5 lbs!!

7.5 pounds to go until New Years' goal!!
27.5 pounds to go until Valentine's Day goal!!

Oh, and ARGYMARGY...I've been a vegetarian since 1989, so yeah...totally going veg. here! However, the meal with the family does include the turkey and stuff...we're celebrating at my aunt's house. It's ok though...there's always more than enough to eat!

Was reading something in the Daily Spark that I wanted to share with you all... just in case you missed it or dont read the Daily Spark. 8 Ways to Trim the Fat and Extra Calories from Thanksgiving:
www.dailyspark.com/blog.asp?post=xx_
wa
ys_to_trim_the_fat_and_extra_calorieR>s_from_thanksgiving_dinner

All lovely ideas... many of which I have decided to put in effect and then read this and said "omg yay!" haha

Ellen ~ OMG you are a busy bee, aren't you? Wow! I have decided that if I EVER go to something again when someone ELSE is cooking, I am going to just have a bite or two of whatever looks good and go with it. People get offended if you act like you dont want to eat what they are offering, but I care a little less about their feelings than I do about my health, soooooooo :) lol Sounds like you have a great week ahead of you! Take care! XOXO

Shanna ~ Wow, great weigh in. And yay for portion control! Family time is sooooooo precious. Hope you have an awesome holiday! XO

Everyone... I hope you are being good... we are still DONE, right?? :) I am actually excited to see how I do this holiday season. I am very proud of myself and excited to see if my change is really taking hold like I think it is! :) I feel it, and am ready to be tested!!

(yes... all of those can be in a line together.. for a Done Girl!! woo hooo!)

This week's weigh in:

Starting Weight - 218.2
Current Weight - 215.8 (-2.4 pounds)
Goal Weight - 195

I only have to work Monday and Tuesday of this week, so I actually plan on getting in tons more exercise. When you are juggling 3 jobs, it gets difficult to work exercise into your schedule! I am also planning on practicing portion control since Thanksgiving dinner will be at my mom's and I'm not doing ANY of the cooking! And of course, tons of family time. That is what the holiday is for, after all! Have a fabulous Thanksgiving, ladies!

Thanks for the challenge Phoenix... Here's what I am doing to complete this week's mini-challenge...

1. Stay active. Got this one down! Monday, my sister, brother, fiance, and I are all heading to the gym together then having dinner since they are in town from college for the holiday. Tuesday is my fiance and I's practice 5k. Wednesday is zumba. Thursday is my Turkey Trot 5k. Friday is visiting fiance's family out of town (so rest day). Saturday is zumba again. Sunday is yoga!

2. I am not in charge of cooking... so I don't get a say on this :( But I already know how to turn most of these foods into things that can be healthy for me. I am practicing portion control!

3. My exercise time is my me time! It's what helps me get through stressful events and its a time to focus on me and what I need.

4. No problem-o! All my family is in town and we are spending plenty of time together. I am really looking forward to this week. Plus I am taking off work on Wednesday!

Hope everyone has an amazing and blessed Thanksgiving!

Mini Challenge's WEEK!!
This week is one of those that we use as an excuse to be lazy... after we do our running around planning for the holidays, we tend to laze around on the couch, talking to family, watching football, and just basically being a slouch! This time... we cannot do that! Sooooooo, this week, I challenge you to a few things:
1. Stay active! Don't let this holiday make you sit around with the family, only! Play a game, go for a walk, DO something!!

2. Revamp/Repair one holiday recipe (at least)! Traditional ways of cooking often contain so much fat, oil, sugar, etc in it... this year, take one of your fave recipes and make it as healthy as you possibly can. That way, you can enjoy the "treat" and not feel bad about it later.... and show your family that things taste JUST as good (if not better!) and can still be healthy. Healthy AND good for you is a beautiful gift we can give our family.. a healthier life and journey is possible.. and we are on our way!

3. Do something for YOU. This week (in the states) is about family, giving thanks for things we have, and much more. However, in doing all of that most of us forget to do something for ourselves. We are just as important as everyone else. So, take time to do something for YOU today (every day this week!!). You deserve it.

4. ENJOY this holiday... the season, your family, your health, your journey, your lifestyle, love, whatever... ENJOY it. Focus on what's important and LIVE LIFE. We all deserve that, 100%!

I tried to respond to everyone a few nights ago, but it wouldn't let me and I have been wicked busy since then... so... here I am finally!! My mother is in town visiting for Thanksgiving. Her boyfriend arrived in town yesterday also, so we've been busy with family things. I was sooooo close to becoming lazy and worthless but remembered my success and got up off of my toosh. I am sharing many of my ideas with my mom and she's giving me some also. We are trying a few recipes this week and spending lots of time together. Good stuff!

Jenna ~ I can teach you some Portugese if you want. I have dozens of friends from Portugal and Brazil :) And as for her being nosey, she's just being normal. lol Sad that she has no respect for you, but... that's any mother in law, really. You know, we stole their baby. Blah. haha

CaitB ~ Good job!! YAY! Love when the scale starts to cooperate :)!!

Cohalligan ~ This challenge goes from now to New Years, then on to Valentine's day, so... yay! :) Great goal, what's your goal for V-day?

Paisley ~ My tank is 36 gallons! I have angel fish, peacock eels, bala sharks, guaramis, and tiger barbs. It's totally beautiful. :) It doesn't really take up much space but it's totally worth the effort and sooooooooo relaxing! AND cleaning the tank out (I do it about once a month) counts as cardio! YAY!!

Ohhhh and great weigh in! YAY!!

Blondie ~ OMG so closeeeee to your goal! And good for you with the dressing... I would have just had it and said "work it off later" haha.

Jamie ~ Oooooooh I want to join the Y and I REALLY want to try Zumba. And yay for the "burn". lol

NewMe ~ Woohoooo! Great weigh in!

Robyn ~ To reach my goals... I am going to give myself more time. I keep using the "there's not enough time" excuse, but... the truth is, I AM busy but I always put others first... I need to and will dedicate more time for ME. I deserve it. You can definitely do this, you are amazing! Woo hoo!!

Dani ~ When your body is fighting to stay warm, it's burning more calories. haha... so... yes. Our house is big also and keeping the whole thing heated makes me so nervous. The bill is always so huge, but we DO have space heaters for those times when it's snowing or someone is colder than others. I am usually doing something to keep me moving (and so are you), so we will stay warm, we just have to keep the kiddos warm, too. haha

Karen ~ You too babe. I made a plan with my mother about a healthy Thanksgiving and things sound SO yummy! I'm so excited! YAY!!

Echo ~ Bad girl! Dont weigh everyday! :( Of course it will get better. Sodium rich food makes my scale look scary too :( And YAY for smaller pants!!!

Mel ~ Yay, you are losing and losing. YAY!! Yesssss for your game face!! I am DONE and ready to tackle the holiday season. I even turned down dinner rolls at the store!! I dont need them... soooooo DONE!!

Kaci ~ I have a bad knee too. :( Sorry to hear. Glad you are feeling better!! Keep rockin'! YAY!! Oh wow a 5k in May!? So amazing!!

Sharon ~ It's NEVER too late to join us :) YAY for your great goals. You can do this!

Pixxie ~ Ooooh love your name... Pixie Acai's tattoos are wicked! Great goals... :)

Lyndsay ~ You should never be ashamed to get help... I'd much rather do that then try to deal with my issues on my own. Always good to get help. And saying you need it AND getting it... WOW. Good for you, babe. And yay for you're weigh in! Woo hoo!!

Christina ~ Anything active is "exercise"... sounds fun! :)

Promise2 ~ a 4 month "visit" OMG That would KILL me. My mom loves to cook, but thankfully it's usually something healthy-ish now. Before, would have been smothered in butter or oil or anything! Now, soups and loads of herbs are used. YAY!

Alyssa ~ Yay for 2 pounds down!! Woo hoooooo!!

Amber ~ Of course it's not too late!! Jump on in here, babe!! Glad to see you with us. :)

Robin ~ Welcome! Great goals, you can do it. We ALL want to be less and have better numbers, but YAY that you are keeping it realistic. You can do this and the numbers will cooperate, I'm SURE!!

Lucki ~ YAY!! Nice weigh in!

Sarah ~ hehe No worries, babycakes. I am a yo yo with being on Spark, but trying to keep things in control and focus on what I am learning so far. I find that when I track, I do MUCH better, but I have been lacking in tracking lately and it SUCKS so bad. Good thing I am DONE and know what is best for me... so, that is a bonus. Glad to see your beautiful smile here. XOXOXO

Ellen ~ Wow, great weigh ins! You are really on track, aren't you? :) Good work!! You wont ruin it all on Thanksgiving ... you know what to and not to do and you've got it under control! I have faith in you. P.S. Love the new pic, beautiful.

KeirasMom ~ Good work on the weigh in. Sodium gets me every time! But, it cant win! We slam the water and flush it out, no biggie! hehe

Tasha ~ Welcome! Great goal... have faith in you! Here if you need us! XO

Everyone is doing so well. So glad to see you all here posting away and loving yourselves!!

Weigh in day! I am sorry to say that I appear to have been thwarted by sodium intake this week. I was so excited because I was headed for several lbs down this week but then we had dinner with the FIL last night and he had take out fried chicken. I skipped on everything except the chicken and a nice side salad but the salt obviously got me. Anyway, the scale still went in the right direction so I can't complain in the grand scheme of things!

I come, I go, I come, I go...sorry guys! I have been totally inconsistant the past two weeks. I've been busy. Not a good excuse, considering my eating habits have slid because of it.

Ah, well, live and learn. And then move on.

Hope everyone has a great week. I am one lbs away from 260. YAY!!!!!

Joining in...if it's not too late?

SW (right now) 188
GW (new years) 180-183
183 would be a pound a week

GW (valentine's) let's say 175

(I am also working toward a beach vacation, and I want to be 160! It seems so far away!)

My struggle is working a lot right now, so not having time to go to the gym. I am working on at home options. I am walking a lot, but I am always walking a lot, so I need to do a little more :)

Hey People, ya'll are doing a great job! Today I went 5 miles and stayed in my calorie range. Stress has been having it's way with me for a few weeks now. I'll report the damage soon. Ugh. Either way, I'm back on track! Mom just showed up here as a surprise from Michigan. She'll be here for 4 months! Wow. This really is a challenge.

not a great loss this week, but a loss non the less. i was at 194.8 since last monday, so i was expecting a bit more of a loss. still is good. and i am fitting a size smaller in pants! so excited about that!

oh and lady geek, i do hula on the wii, it is a bit different, in someways easier because you dont have to actually hold up a hoop, but its also a really hardcore work out. i do it for usually 25 or 30 minutes, but i had to work up to that gradually, the 3 min work out left me breathless at first. i think it is an excellent source of fitness definitely!

Hey people I have a question. Do anyone know about hula hooping as a form of excising? I mean I have a friend who is going to help me get into, but I was wondering if anyone else hear of it?

Hi ladies - sorry I have not posted for a while but I have been dealing with a very bad knee this week which has kept me from working out. But I am glad to say that I am back and finally able to workout. Zumba ROCKS - I had a wonderful workout tonight WITH MY KIDS! I also have started training for my first 5K in May - my kids are training with me which is really helping keep me motivated and on track. I also have a couple of Jillian Michaels videos and they are great as well. I am trying to change things around so that my body does not get used to things.

I will weigh in tomorrow.

3rd weigh in

SW - 186.8
11/05 - 185.2
11/12 - 187.0
11/19 - 185.8

I think my goal was 10lbs. Maybe I should look into that!
GW - 176.8

I lost what I gained last week. But it is progress in the right direction. I am going to keep it up. I know what works for me, but I just need to stick with it!

Last night was the first time in about a month and a half that I planned, organized and clipped coupons for our grocery shopping. It feels good to have a plan. Now we are going to make a healthy menu for this next week to two. I know that this will help.

I hope all everyone is doing well. Things have been keeping me busy and I don't get to check the posts and chat with you all as much as I would like. Please stop by my page and comment, it will make me come back and comment faster!!

Is everyone ready for Thanksgiving? I know I am going to put my game face on! I AM DONE!

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Hey ladies! Everyone seems to be doing fantastic! Keep up the great work and we'll breeze thru Thanksgiving! If I don't check in before I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving full of healthy choices!

My plans to reach my goals are to continue to do some sort of exercise at least 5 days a week, do a 5K on the treadmill once a week, continue to make healthy food choices and stay within my calorie range!
