m sorry I was MIA I didnt get challenge done.. congrats to thosewho did.. next timewe do something like this stalk me and lemmeknow will try n dobetter next time. Im working on a countdown to my bday. I have 47 days. My goal is to reach my 5% goal which will bring me to 299.5 about 10.5 to go.. course I wont complain to be further along cus Im TIRED of being in the 3's I havegottenout a few times but always been too close andI fall back into the 3's again..Round 30000 here we come...lol

I started way late and didn't get my days in but I want to say thanks again Nix! Because of you I got back on track and am happy to say that I am down 4.6lbs in the past two weeks and I haven't even been trying as hard as I should have been. Got a lot going onright now but I am doing so much better than I was, I was 2 lbs away from my original weight last summer and I was freaking out, now I am slowly getting back down! Thanks again!

Day 27: Is it wrong to want to beat your kids for getting you sick? I would never do it, but UGH not what I needed right now, I'm scheduled for the Midnight 5k at 11:59 tonight. morning workout was arms video, and HipHop Abs. Is it a coinky-dink that there is 28 days until my beach vacation, and the HHA is 28 day program? I don't think so - so I wrote out all the dvd's on my calendar next to the desk, and got the cutest heart stickers from the clearance basket at the store (only a quarter, how could I resist?) So will finish with these videos and work the HHA program. I doubt there will be much outdoor time until I'm breathing a little better.

Day 27 1/2: Finished the 5k in 40:22 - not my fastest time ever, but not the slowest either. It was hard to breath out there, not just for me. My super speedy friend also ran about 4 min slower than her regular time. I'm happy that I dragged my butt out there. It would have been so easy to just stay home and be sick.

Day 28: Dumb-da-Dumb-Dumb..... that's how I feel today. I got up for an easier version of boot camp this morning, and it was running & running & running - my legs felt like lead. I did great on the wall sit - the instructor was teasing me, he said I wasn't being strong, I was stuck - and it did kind of feel that way LOL I walked very slooooowly with the dogs when I got home, and did the crunchless ab workout twice. Despite my HHA promise to myself I wasn't up for the jumping around, I didn't want to hurt myself.

Let's finish the challenge strong!

Hey beauties! :) Everyone interested in being considered for prizes, please post your ending weight and anything else you'd like to say about this challenge sometime this week. I am out of town currently for a family emergency/vacation (long story, but I am helping my father with his campground for 2 weeks... so it's technically work, but it's in nature with lots of walking, swimming, and generally having fun between bouts of sweating my butt off working. This is the most healthy vacation I've ever had so far! LOL).

After I see updates on weigh ins, I will choose the winners of this challenge and when I return home, I will send out the prizes :) Sorry for the delay. I totally wasn't thinking to bring the prizes with me, but I wish I had. Sigh... oh well :)

Day 25: Did the 6.25 mile hike with the pups. Came home and did the leg video with modifications, 'cuz after boot camp last night & the hills my bum is sore.

Day 26: Wanted to wake up and take on the world, but..... have the princess's cold instead. Sore throat, stuffy nose, headache emoticon so easy walk this morning, and depending on how I feel I might skip boot camp (way to intense) and do the HipHop Abs conditioning workout instead tonight.

Saturday I had a 2 hour Zumba-thon and the rest of this week has been dedicated to prettying up my yard before I go away for 2 weeks on "vacation" to Georgia. I say it with quotes because it's a break from my normal life, but I will be working at my father's campground, so it's not MUCH of a break, lol At least I will be able to go swimming and hang out with family and get lots of hiking and fishing time in. :) Yesterday I DEEP cleaned my back yard. I pulled up all the weeks, took tons of things to recycling and the trash, etc... it was AWESOME. Took me HOURS to do it, but now it looks good enough to have a party out there :) Might have to do that when I come back :) hehe

Day 23: I didn't go on the dog walk as planned, but I did the kickboxing & core videos.

Day 24: 4 mile dog walk, and I made myself run everytime a Rhianna or Ke$ha song came on the MP3. The little one didnt' mind to much, 'cuz I stopped to let her play in the stream that runs next to the path. PM - did boot camp, all legs & abs tonight, it hurts! came home and did the arm video before DOMS sets in.

oh poop! Week 4 day 2. Still subbing the standing core workout for the ones put in the bootcamp but I am working it! I had a small shock the other day. I was laying on the ground playing with my daugther and I was actually able to sit up without hurting myself. (I used to get horrible cramps in my stomach making it almost impossible to move afterwards.) YAY!

I will do one thing today to make my life better.

Monday - new week, new start. This week I will be more conscious of the food I am eating. Not chastize myself for going over my calorie range, but make sure it's a wholesome choice and I am eating because I'm hungry not bored or tired (my two biggest triggers).

For exercise I'm needing to re-do Week 3 of the Spring into Shape challenge, or..... maybe just do each video twice and knock out Week 3 & 4 at the same time LOL For cardio - Dog Walks daily, run Wednesday, and the 5k I signed up for on Friday night, and boot camp Tues, Thurs & Sat. I would also like to add a stretching or yoga component - maybe the 10 min Sun Salutation after my walks?

School is out Wednesday so I should have my mornings open again (no more endless texts from the Princess needing all the stuff she forgot to take to school or late night cram sessions with my son)

I'm on week 3 of this challenge too and I love it! I have skipped a few days here and there but I always make them up the next time I work out. I'm really sorry that it is ending soon and I think I will be ISO another challenge to join. I've also been taking dance classes and going for long walks with my doggie. I've lost a few pounds but most of all have seen a difference in my body and the way my clothes fit! LOVE the videos! who knew?

I'm worth it!!!

Didn't do any (videos) yesterday. So Week 4, Days 4 and 5 today! ~ Done!

This Challenge has flown! I can't believe it's almost over. At the end I'm going to take measurements again, it will have been about a month, I'm positive there has been some change!

I didn't do near as much ST before the challenge but I think the difference I notice in strength and how clothes are fitting now is plenty of motivation.

Plus the videos are still gonna be there ( Plus others here on SP) if you want or need to do them. And you can always re-start this challenge, or a different one, after completion.

Isn't it nice to have someone care enough about us to spalk us? Really. It just so happens, it was exactly what I needed this week, or I would have given up entirely. Long, hard, stressful week.

But...I'm here. :) And I'm still DONE. And I'm still Springing into Shape.

I'm finishing up week 3 today; will start week 4 tomorrow. I'm excited...and nervous...and surprised (that I have remained committed to something for so long!)...

What happens AFTER this challenge? Do y'all have a goal or a plan? Aside from walking, I hadn't been doing regular strength training until this challenge. And I REALLY don't want to go back to the days of no strength training! I can't tell you how those ten minute videos have helped me. I don't want to finish the challenge and then go back to doing nothing but walking. You know?

Do they have "Mulligan" in spark people, 'cuz Week 3 needs a complete do over for me!

No videos to speak of, limited cardio (but what I did I pushed hard) and eating for 2-3 people. Ugh, I feel full & flabby right now. So..... jumped out of bed and went for a run, having a good breakfast, then I'm driving to Vegas for my cousin's wedding. When I get home tonight lots of good stretching, and into bed at a decent hour. Then tomorrow - new week, new start!

I love "spalking"! I've started week 4 and everything is starting to fall into place. I'm going on a mini vacation starting tomorrow for about 5 days. I'm going to do my best although I know this is going to shake things up! But I'm ready for the challenge of making good choices especially setting an example because I'll be with my family (a few who are obese).

I haven't been giving in, just been crazy busy with work and school. Not realllllly an excuse not to check in, but that's where I was. emoticon

Im sorry I was MIA team!! Thanks Nix for spark-stalking me (can we call it SPALKING for short??) I have been behaving I promise, but I have not been exactly following the challenge. Spark stalked as well.... I've only had time for tracking my food on the run due to a hell week at work, and falling down the stairs and banging up my knee on Monday. I managed a bit of cardio in there for 10 minutes on Monday, but it has been aching too much since then.

:( So I'm way more behind than I had wanted to be. Guess I'm not finishing it for the prizes, but I'm expecting I'll pick up week 3 again next week and give it a go. At least I have been able to stay within my calorie ranges though. That's a plus.

I've been slacking a bit on these videos but I absolute LOVE the kickboxing ones that Coach Nicole has. I think I need to take a class (they sadly don't have them at my gym) soon. I did the squats and lunges video yesterday and, yeah, that made me hate Coach Nicole just a little bit. I got through it and I'm definitely feeling it today though. :)

No worries, I am here and have been keeping up with the bootcamp. I missed one day this week, but did 2 workouts this morning to make up for it. My cardio has been a little slacking this week, but I'm going to do some extra tonight. In addition, some friends and I are planning a hike for saturday, its about a 10 mile trail, so I'm thinking my cardio will be good after that.
Hope everyone else is doing well!
Work has kept me pretty busy so I haven't been posting here, checked in on couple other Done threads though. You are all emoticon in my book! Stay Strong! Stay DONE!!!! emoticon

Day 18: My inner Goddess has left the building. No workout, lots of eating. It never really rained, but it drizzled all day, which was enough for me to keep the dogs in, afraid if I did go out it would finally start to pour. I didn't workout, I just watched TV. I think I need to disconnect the cable! I did squeeze in a trip clothes shopping and got several pieces on sale. I'm excited about that. But it also was a wake up call about how much farther I have to go on this journey, and that the progress I thought I had seen wasn't that significant.

Day 19: I woke up feeling a litle sorry for myself. And it's going to be another "MOM!" day. The princess has already started. It's her last week at elementary school, she starts at the middle school next year, and is trying to make these last few days precious. I admire her spirit, but honestly, I'm tired of being her 24/7 chauffer/maid/cook/driver. Plus DS leaves in 10 days for his summer job away from home, and he doesn't seem motivated to get his stuff together. Not usually much of a problem, but I don't think it's sunk in that I will be 5 hours away and won't be available to just drop off any thing he forgets to pack. Maybe it's the bad eating that has my mood so sour. I think I will have a nice bowl of oatmeal, then go for an extra long walk with the dogs. That may perk me up. I sure hope so!

Woo Hoo DONE sister's! This challenge has been just what I needed to re-energize my program! Week 4 day 2 for me. I am on a 25 day streak so far!! I'm loving it! I can't imagine a day without working out now! I have lost 10lbs since starting Spring Bootcamp!! It's promoted me to join the 100 challenge team! Today I work up.. did my video, then I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill for 2.20 miles!! I ran for 25 minutes straight! An I'm not a runner. I was sorta challenged by HEATHERRAE85 to run a mile today...and I ran 2!! I didn't even sound like a dying Water Buffalo when I was done! Heck yeah! Can't wait to try it again tomorrow! I also did hip abductors, inner thighs, and glutes. An now that the baby is in bed...I'm gonna get in a good stretch! Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo!

I'm on day 4, week 3. Yesterday was a big day of lower body work. I did the 5 minute lower body resistance band and day 3 of SIS. Along with that was Zumba and about a half dozen lower body strength exercises. This morning, my butt is sore!!! Its a good burn though. I always struggle finding something that really works the glutes, but yesterday sure did it. I'm definitely doing that again!!!!

i've been lurking. still here and doing cardio (mostly walking). strength training, not so much. i need to get out of this funk i'm in. i haven't been able to get up and get my workout done in the mornings so when I get home from work, all I have time for is cooking and eating dinner. I will get in some real workout time this week!

Nix - I keep searching for some ST I'll like. A SP friend said that the Golds Gym workout on Wii was decent for cardio. I'll try that :-) Sorry you spent the week in a funk. Hopefully that'll go away soon!

Ooooooooh, I suck at keeping up with this thread for the last week, my sincerest apologies... I was wallowing in stress and letting life get to me... pfft! Why was I doing that? That's totally not me! So... here I am :D Lets see if I can catch up now... ::pray:: hehe

Amanda ~ I KNEW exercise/fitness felt this good... I just... you know, do other things thinking they will cause the same feeling. PFFT... I should learn by now that NO... nothing gives me endorphins, sweat, and a feeling of accomplishment like a great workout! And yep, if it feels easier, then you are definitely doing something right! Rock on!! But... Pilates is awesome if you do a good one. Have you tried "Burn and Firm Pilates" by Crunch? It's awesome!!

Day 17: Got the dogs out for their 5 mile walk. Was planning on going to boot camp, then remembered the Princess had her end of year orchestra concert. So much for that idea. No boot camp, no videos, ate fast food for dinner (because right after concert there was a scout thing I had forgotten about - oops) Two weeks left in the month - two weeks of videos left. I can do this this, I will complete the challenge!

Day 16: I started with many good intentions, followed by that urgent call from the Princess that she forgot her violin, so off Mom goes to the school to drop it off. Somewhere in that 15 min roundtrip I lost every bit of motivation I had mustered. Spent most of the day flopped on the couch watching re-runs on TV - didn't even pick up a book to read! The afternoon brought huge hunger pangs, and I ate until I wasn't hungry any more. That was alot of food. I'm blaming hormones, it's that week of the month when I don't want to do anything but eat. I can celebrate having made a menu plan for the week, getting my daughters GS registration sorted out, grocery shopping, doing 5 loads of laundry and mopping the floors in the kitchen. Oh, and I found a flight for Hubs to SoCal next month - considerably cheaper than the one he was looking at. I guess the day wasn't a total waste, but definately not fitness inspired or moving me towards my goals.

DAYS 13, 14, 15: Friday I got up early (but not as early as I wanted) and took the dogs for a short walk then came home & did abs before driving to SLC for my son's karate tournament. Saturday - quick yoga & some abs in the hotel room while waiting to head back to the tourney. Sunday - nada - zippo - zilch! I was going to do abs before we left hotel, but that didn't work out. I was going to walk the dogs when I got home, but it was to warm out for them. I was going to do the arm video I missed on Sat, but I got busy with laundry (and I was reading a good book ::blush::)

I am doing my Done Girl Dance because I made mostly good food choices all weekend (to much of them, but good for me) and have contiued my no alcohol streak - 40 days and counting!

So Today I'm Back At It - I will finish the Spring Into Shape For Summer boot camp, and I hope to repeat it - Hubs & I planned a week in SoCal for June 25-July 1!

Yesterday I did cardio and skipped the video. Today, I had to double up days 4 & 5. I like the resistance band workout, you all know by now how I feel about Pilates, lol!

Ok so my speakers wont work for some reason but I have been trying to do the videos anyway, not as much fun at all by the way! I have also been incorporating cardio in and am starting a new strength-walking plan tomorrow! You tie 3 resistance bands together and tie them around your waist then pull the ends through the sleeves of your shirt. The band around your waist helps you to remember your posture while you walk which in turn makes you tighten your abs as you walk. On top of that you get to do arm ST using the bands while you walk. No I can walk and do ST at the same time! I'll let you know how it goes!

Day 11: Arm Day! Arm Day! Arm Day! I love me some arm days - usually. I went to boot camp last night, and we did push ups galore. I could barely raise my arms up to the computer desk to type when we got done. It hurt, but I got through the video. Did a 4 mile walk later, that felt good - got all the kinks out of my legs.

Day 12: Abs - UGH! feeling the DOMS from Tues night, and my abs are sore. But I marshalled through the video. For my 2 video workouts for the week I kinda cheated and did the stability ball full body routine twice in a row. I'm not gonna have time Friday or Saturday to do a repeat. No cardio today - I wanted to rest a little before I run in the morning and then have to drive 5 hours to my son's black belt test in SLC. Upside is I get to see Hubs this weekend. He's flying down from Portland to see our son in the tournament.

Didn't do the week 2 day 4 video, but I did workout out my biceps, triceps and shoulders really good while doing freestep on the wii fit plus. I hope that still counts.

So... for week 2, the official challenge asks us to choose two extra videos to do this week, right? I decided to try out the 20-minute Dumbbell Video... and OMG it was awesome!! I loved it. I definitely need to stretch a bit more after, but... it rocked! I highly recommend that one on your strength training day... you DO have a strength training day or two or three, don't you? If you said "no" DO IT! OMG! ST is the besttttt :) hehe

I am thrilled that I was able to do more on the crunchless abs routine. Still can't manage the point when it swings, but I was able to do the others.

The progress is awesome. Same with Day 3. My modifications were less... modified.

I've noticed a few people are having streaming issues with the videos. There is a work around and you don't have to be too techie to do it. There is a YouTube Downloader ( download.cnet.com/YouTube-Dow

) you can use to download the videos. Then use VLC Player ( www.videolan.org/vlc/ ) to play the videos. Hope this helps.

Day 8: Sunday I'm OFF, OFF, OFF - way to sore from boot camp and running around at the Ironman yesterday (of course not as sore as the athletes!) so I reserved my kickboxing video for Monday which is my crazy, can't walk the dogs anyway day.

Day 9: Got told I could have the morning off today, and I would squeeze in a dog walk, but it's raining. So instead a long overdue date with Shaun T & my HipHop Abs DVD. Added the SISFS kickboxing video afterwards and feeling fine this Monday morning! After our volunteer appreciation dinner I added in the Crunchless Core workout. Will I be able to get out of bed in the morning , 'cuz I'm already feeling it!

Day 10: Remember I mentioned going in late Monday. That's cuz they were laying me off emoticon Not to sad though, because more time for SP again, and my hubs had just made plans to spend a week in SoCal the end of June - Now I gots to get me that bikini bod! Done with the leg/butt workout this morning, and I'm gonna be taking the dogs for a nice walk (5 miles w/hills) as soon as I get done with my coffee.
