Day 2(9/13): I walked and ran fr 30 minutes, I drank 100 ounces of water, I blogged
Day 3(9/14): I walked for 30 minutes, drank 128 ounces, I wrote in my journal!
Day 4(9/15): I went for a walk with my niece and played at the playground for 30 minutes, I drank 96 ounces of water, I sparked!
Day 5(9/16): I walked for 30 minutes, I drank 128 ounces, and I wrote in my journal
Day 6(9/17): I walked for 60 minutes, I drank 98 ounces, and I wrote in my journal
Day 7(9/18): I played with my nieces for 30 minutes, drank 128 ounces, and I sparked!

Day 19(9/30): I walked for 35 minutes, I drank 96 ounces of water, and I baked which is a hobby of mine
Day 20(10/1): I played with my dog outside for 25 minutes, i drank 64 ounces of water, and I played with my nieces
Day 21(10/2): I played with my nieces at the farm for 60 minutes, i drank 66 ounces of water, and I relaxed and took time for me!

Day 1:moderate walking 6 glasses of water, logged all food,
Day 2: 30 cardio 10 strength 8 glasses of water, logged food
Day 3: 36 minutes execise, drank 6 glasses of water, logged food, talked with friends
Day 4: 29 minutes exercise drank 6 glasses of water, logged food, watched a good movie
Day 5: bad day allergies made body at zero, 5 glasses of water. logged food, stayed in bed most of the day just no strength
Day 6: another day of low activity, did some exercising in the pool about a half a mile of steps, got in 6 glasses of water, rest of the day took it easy, logged food but did not get in close to my calories just did not feel like it

Day 10: spent the last 4 days in the bed really ill

Day 1:moderate walking 6 glasses of water, logged all food,
Day 2: 30 cardio 10 strength 8 glasses of water, logged food
Day 3: 36 minutes execise, drank 6 glasses of water, logged food, talked with friends
Day 4: 29 minutes exercise drank 6 glasses of water, logged food, watched a good movie
Day 5: bad day allergies made body at zero, 5 glasses of water. logged food, stayed in bed most of the day just no strength
Day 6: another day of low activity, did some exercising in the pool about a half a mile of steps, got in 6 glasses of water, rest of the day took it easy, logged food but did not get in close to my calories just did not feel like it

Day 16: I had my son's open house and didn't think i would hit my step goals but i did because i walked back and forth in my living room for 5 minutes to get it done!!! (:

Day 18: lost 1.5 pounds again this week! I know these basics have been the reason! building a foundation is a must (:

Day 20: stuggle have starting of migrane

Day 1: I ate around 1350 calories and it was all clean eating. I have an active job, always walking, bending, lifting - just moving really. :-) 8 glasses of water. Was a bit tired so didn't do a real workout. got about 7 hours of sleep.
Day 2: I ate around 1200 calories, active on the job, a strength workout of 30 minutes long and of course my 8 glasses. 7 hours of sleep.

I hope I'm doing this correctly I'm not shore. But here we go.

Ok today I had walked from my back drive way to the tracks I also did the same walk yesterday. I have not yet included my stationary bike yet do to it still being in my bedroom and I'm currently in the living room most of the time. I will be having my roommate help me with moving it later its pretty heavy.

So far walking is my go to. Just starting out after all and not much for upper body strength yet. But I do enjoy sitting on the floor rather then the sofa so hopefully picking up my big booty every time I need to get up will help.

So for today it was walking to the tracks near my home. I will be checking back in tomorrow.

*Day two did my walk about 9 in the morning today mosquitoes where pretty bad do to all the rain we just got last night and this morning. Walked the same distance I was only home about 5 minutes and my cousin walked in telling me aunt sandy wanted to know if I wanted to go to town with them to walmart. So I also did about 30 minutes or more of walking around in walmart store also today. And got a few healthy food that I love. So got some fitness in and some healthy eats. So far a great day.

Can't wait till tomorrow.

I am READY to take the Back to Basics CHALLENGE! I'm in! !!

Day 1: walked during break, tracked, did a short meditation
Day 2: belly dance class, tracking and within range, 8 glasses water, relaxed with reading
Day 3: Walked during the day, tracked and stayed in range, water not so great 5 cups, visited a close friend and went apple picking.
Day 4: worked out with trainer (lots of arms and abs work) - ate in range and drank at least 10 cups of water; no special relaxation stuff was tired when I got home from work out so just slept like a baby
Day 5: walked during the day at work; tracked and stayed in range and drank all my water; spent time with friends and family for relaxation.
Day 6: lots of walking - explored the city during open doors event and spent about 5 hours walking around; eating was okay - did not track and did eat out but had a light breakfast and had chicken tacos for dinner when I went out - no guacamole, no sour cream; did good with water - kept water bottle with me filled while walking around; did some meditation before bed
Day 7: walked around again today for the doors open event - not as long but still a couple of hours, plus did some household chores, water was so-so today probably 7 cups or so; another day like yesterday did not track but I know I stayed within my range because I was so busy having a fun day eating was an afterthought but made healthy choices, salad, yogurt, did have a slice of garlic bread my daughter made for us and enjoyed every minute of it.
Day 8: Tracked and within range - surprised because dinner was not planned - went to a church function and never know what they will have; drank 10 cups of water; exercise was walking and did meditation.
Day 9: Stayed within range - towards top end but still in range; 8 glasses water, walking, had a support group meeting (group is for children and their families who have had a close relative die - my ex-husband/daughter's father passed away in May). It always helps to have the support of others going through the same thing.
Day 10: Good balanced eating within range, 6 glasses water, walked - was going to go to gym but the laundry and dishes that have been sitting for a few days were calling to me to get them done; worked with happify app
Day 11: Good day with eating, water, meditation, worked out with trainer - really challenging workout today
Day 12: stayed on track, walking, happify app, water about 8-9 cups
Day 13: not to good at tracking/eating today but think I stayed within range; water was so-so; I did a lot of walking at festival; enjoyed time with friends and family.
Day 14: Had a overdue relaxing day; got a few things done around the house (cleaning/yardwork) did drink plenty of water today; meditation; ate within range and made healthy choices
Day 15: DId not get in my exercise today; relative did not answer phone so I got worried and stopped over; once there visited and had a nice time; had yummy soup for dinner, glad it is getting to be soup time as I love healthy soups and so easy to fit it lots of vegetables that way; about 6 cups of water today.
Day 16: walking today; tracked and ate in range and good choices; got in 7 cups water, read to relax and for me time

Day 1: I visited SparkPeople several times today. I logged all my food and was within all my ranges on my tracker. I didn't eat out today. Did good on my water. Stayed up reading too late but it was good me-time :)
Day 2: Worked my full and part-time jobs today. Didn't get to "work out" but got 12,000 steps in. I logged all my food and ate within my ranges. Ate 2 servings of fruit and 3 servings of vegetables. Met my water goal. Read before bed. :)

Day 1: Movement: 2-mile walk, 8000+ steps for the Day. Nutrition: Did okay, could do better. Other goals met.
Day 2: Met my goals in all categories today. 9000+ steps. Food intake was healthier today, need to be more consistent in tracking. Good day overall.
Day 3: Didn't quite make my step goal today but walked for 30 minutes, so I'm okay with that. Nutrition was good, got my water, did the mindfulness and self love activities.
Day 4: No exercise today, but all other activities completed.
Day 5: Mallwalked for 45 minutes, got 8000+ steps overall. Only 6 cups of water but did good on everything else for the day.
Day 6: Walked 2 miles, ate well, got plenty of water, did self-care and mindfulness.
Day 7: Did self-care and mindfulness, ate well, had a lazy Sunday.
Day 8: All goals met today. Not bad for a Monday. :)
Day 9: Ate well, walked 2 miles, had plenty of water, did selfcare/mindfulness.
Day 10: Walked 3 miles this morning, had a successful day in everything except nutrition. Thankfully, tomorrow is a new day.
Day 11: Walked 45 minutes this morning, nutrition was better than yesterday, self-care done, drank plenty of water.
Day 12: Walked 20 minutes, did self-care and mindfulness, drank 6 glasses of water.
Day 13: Did okay with nutrition today, walked 20 minutes, drank 8+ cups of water.
Day 14: Walked 2 miles, had 8 glasses of water, ate well, and did self-care.
Day 15: Met all the goals for the day.
Day 16: Still struggling here with nutrition but had a good day reaching the other goals.
Day 17: Did well with eating today, walked 20 minutes, drank enough water, did self-care and mindfulness.
Day 18: Another day completed with 30 minutes walking, 8+ glasses water, mostly healthy eating, self-care and mindfulness done.
Day 19: Took today off from exercise, accomplished all other goals for the day.
Day 20: Accomplished all the goals today, October is off to a good start.
Day 21: 40 minutes walking, 6 glasses water, and did self-care/mindfulness activities.

Day 1: Movement- I did a lot of walking at Big Lots and Walmart while waiting for my daughter to get done with dance (3.5 hours),
Mindfulness- Drinking my tea before bed so I will be nice and relaxed
Nutrition- I ate pretty good today and tracked all of my food
Daily Water- Im working on my last cup to meet my personal goal
Self Care/Self Love- Bought myself some body spray and new shampoo, spend time with my babies today
Day 2: Movement- Im a pharmacy tech so that was my movement today :D, Mindfulness- worked on a puzzle tonight after work, Nutrition-I didn't eat well today at all, Daily Water-totally and utterly sucked, Self Care/Self Love- Currently fighting off the beginnings of a cold and sore throat
Day 3: Rested today, went to my daughters volleyball game, didnt feel like eating a whole lot today, just mainly rested today. I didn't feel very well. Tomorrow will be a better day!
Day 4: Worked on getting well...I have a sinus infection!
Day 5: Went to work, drank my tea, stayed within my calorie range
Day 6: Walked, tried on an XL top and IT FIT!
Day 7: Helped at a pageant today while my daughter gave up her crown, stayed within my calorie range, drinking my tea before bed!

Hello, Done Girls!

We have a new challenge starting...getting Back to Basics!



This challenge is really simple....each day, for 21 days, we will challenge ourselves to get...

* MOVING...Do any kind of exercising from Yoga, to Running, to Spark Videos, to Gardening or Laundry...it ALL counts!

* MINDFUL.....Do what works best for you to relax! This can include meditation, taking a hot bath at night, doing yoga or simply being present during the day. Keeping stress at bay!

* NUTRITION....Eat real, whole, healthy foods! Let's try to aim for healthy and real foods, leaving the junk food and processed food in our dust!

* WATER.....Drink lots of water, but focus on doing just a bit more than you are already doing. For instance, if you are just getting about 4c of water a day, aim for 5c each day. Rome wasn't built in a day ladies!

* SELF-CARE/SELF-LOVE....Do ONE thing each day to treat yourself with care or love. That could mean changing negative self-talk to positive self talk, taking time to make your favorite breakfast, going to bed early because your tired, reading a book for 10 minutes or spending time with your grandkids. Whatever YOU choose, works as long as it's a positive!

That's it! All of the items are focused on basic, healthy lifestyle changes. We just need you to check in daily on the thread.
