Why do you have to eat out? Are there no kitchen facilities. If you have a microwave there that will help a bit, buy some healthy microwave meals.

Breakfast is the easiest meal to get around cause you can just have some healthy cereal and some fruit. Toast if you have a toaster.

Buy some snacks but limit yourself to two a day my faves are flavored rice cakes (I like to put some vegemite on mine but you might not like it :p) , weight watchers bars, banans and rice crackers with salsa. It helps keep the metabolism firing and you wont be as hungry.

When you eat out things like stirfrys are great , sushi , pasta with a tomato based sauce (gotta watch the portion size with that), seafood is generally healthy depending on how its cooked not too much greasy fish and chips lol. Get meals with lots of veges and keep the fruit up too.

Try to eat at a few restaurants instead of all fast food places. A few years ago before i lost the weight i went on a 3 day road trip and ate NOTHING but maccas and it messes you up so much.

Have an awesome time on your holiday , let us know how it went.

There's no sense crying after every mistake, you just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Vacations are definitely tough! But pretty much watch your portion sizes, ask for things WITHOUT butter if possible, and get grilled items over anything fried! Goodluck!

Try checking out some menus online of some of the resturant you may be visiting. You can always go for for higher in protein. Remember to watch for the add ons. NO MAYO, watch the salad dressing(ask for low fat). If it is a place that brings bread, or hush puppies, something like that, Just ask them NOT to bring it. Don't be ashamed to speak up, order the way YOU want it.
Most important Have FUN, get some exercise(take a walk), ENJOY yourself. This is your life, You will go on vacation again. WE just have to learn to fit Vacation in our Journey. emoticon

I don't know what they have exactly, but where ever you go I would suggest just being careful of the portion size and what time of night you eat your food. I would avoid a lot of snacks too lol. I went on a trip once with my grandmother who didn't care what I ate, and I snacked the whole way. I weighed myself after and I had gained weight!

I leave tomorrow night to go to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I am soooo excited to go on vacation and take a break but I am also sooo nervous that I am going to eat too much or all the wrong things. So, I have to eat out everyday... there is no avoiding that. What should I eat?? I know salad and Subway but that can get boring. What are some other good things to eat for meals while there?? Thank you in advance for your help. I am new to this but I am determined and I don't want to mess everything up by eating bad on vacation.
