peeing is normal I drink anywhere from 12-16 glasses of PURE water a day then on top of that I drink tea or coffee too

One bite, one day, one pound at a time. Remember you are worth the effort!

I drink 12 to 16 glasses of water a day (96 oz - 128 oz). And if I have a lot of coffee I try to at least drink 8 glasses.

I've always loved water. It's easy to drink more when you replace soda with water. And your body gets used to it and really wants it (especially if you have something high in sodium).

I don't pee a lot, it seemed like it was excessive when I first started. But then again, I sweat out a lot of it. I can go through a bottle with 4 glasses of water in it just during and right after a workout. So... 8 glasses a day plus a watered work out gives me more than enough.

Benefits:
No more UI.
Better complexion / glowing skin
Sweat more during exercise
Body is better able to regulate temperature!
Fewer/no headaches
Feel full
More alert

I attribute these benefits/things I've seen in my life to good hydration.

When I first started drinking at least 8 glasses a day, I went to the bathroom ALL THE TIME! But, then I started going less when my body became accustomed to it. Also, it's better to drink a little at a time, rather than just gulping it down. Now, I carry my water bottle with me everywhere and usually get in 10-12 cups of water a day.

I have a hard time drinking my water too..especially this time of year. I don't want to drink cold water when I'm cold but I don't like room temp water either. I had to start buy some of those generic crystal light water mixers. It helps. I'm drinking more water now then I was a few months ago.

Like others said, it does seem challenging at first, but you really do get used to it. I also keep a 32oz water bottle on my desk at work. Right now I've already drank & refilled it twice (64oz - and it's not even 9am!).

In a typical day, I might drink 4+ bottles, regardless of the potty breaks. It definitely does get to the point where your body needs it!

H2O is a very good thing.........and I agree with adjusting to it. My drink of choice is lemon/lime seltzer. I drink 2 bottles a day and then there's my coffee, about 3 large mugs...that's the icing on the H2O intake. ;)

I HATED drinking all that water at first. I always felt like I was going to barf. :-P Also eliminate other liquids u drink during the day and it should help the transition. ;-D

And remember--it's only 8 ounces! That's not even a cup of water! So take out your one cup measuring cup and use that--it's really not that much! :D emoticon

Oh yea, the potty runs! Your body does adjust after a while.

Some people use the bathroom breaks to remind them to get a little extra exercise in, like 10 squats or 25 jumping jacks. Might be a little awkward if someone walks in on ya though! emoticon

My secret to getting water in is to drink 8oz before each meal. Keeps me from over eating too, I get fuller quicker!

I also have a 32 oz bottle that I keep with me and it makes it a lot easier to get 8 glasses in. If you have a day where you don't work out and you feel hydrated, it's not going to hurt to drink a little less than 8 glasses. And yes, some days I do feel like I'm getting up to pee like every hour, but I try to look at it as a chance to get away from my desk.

It is 8 8oz glasses of water per day (so one 24oz bottle of water equals 3 cups).

Your bladder will adjust in time. You'll still go more frequently, but it won't be every 5 minutes. I've had 9 cups so far today, plus a cup of coffee, and because of the coffee, I've been in the bathroom more often, lol.

The cool thing about water ... it makes your skin look FABULOUS. Plus it hydrates you and helps curb hunger. The taste becomes better, but do add things to it if you can't stand it plain. A think cucumber slice is surprisingly refreshing!

I've heard anywhere from 6-12 cups a day is key to losing weight, regulating body temp., etc. I drink between 8-10 glasses per day and at first, YES you will pee A LOT! But your body will get used to it and it won't feel like that for very long. Try to pick up one of those 32. oz big water bottles and drink on it throughout the way. That way, you only have to fill it up twice and after a few days, you don't feel like you're drinking that much. But start out drinking 2 cups, then work your way up to 4, then 6 and eventually 8.

You'll get there, but drinking your water will definitely help you in the long run! Keep at it! It is worth it and YOU are worth it!

Your body will adjust to it... just think, all that extra moving to get up and go to the bathroom when you otherwise wouldn't, is a good thing.

I've heard many opinions on water intake. I've heard only drink until your urine runs clear... I've heard drink half your weight in ounces... Weight watchers tells you that you only need 6 glasses of liquid a day. There are all sorts of opinions. You need to find out what's best for you.

If you have trouble with flavor, try adding lemon, cucumber or frozen berries. That helps break up the monotony of just plain water.

YES! LOL! I have to get up at work so much I wonder if people are thinking I'm doing something else in there. Wish there was a way around it but I think it just part of keeing the system flushed.

I've been trying to drink more water, but 8 glasses a day is just too much IMO... it is ridiculous how many times i have to get up and go pee when drinking that much.... anybody else have this problem??
