First time i have been in the range this month was yesterday.Will keep trying!

Indian standard Time!Now 54 yrs old.Had a Sleeve Gastrectomy and like most of us who have had this survey-it is a welcome surgery and ,howeer a radical lifestyle change-in diet,exercise,evrything.Weight is down by 20 kilos.That is a whole new me but I need to lose a couple of 5 more kilose hopefully due to newly diagnosed psoriatic arthritis.Well here's to all of us ,everybody!I am on a new challenge that

weekends are tough--my husband likes to cook fattening cooks on the weekends---so I try to mAke my own food--this can get him upset. He just does NOT understand that eating healthy is important. It is not easy!

Hi Mayzee, sorry I've been missing the last little while. Got back from the square dance festival (where I went way over calorie btw) and came home to a sinus infection. I am finally starting to feel better. Thanks for noticing! It has gone down a bit. lol I lost 3 pounds while I was sick and not eating much. Now I just hope I can keep it off!
Back to tracking...I was on track for Monday.

I went over my calories yesterday, but it was a conscious decision and I'm not beating myself up over it. Today I ate lightly but nutritiously to balance things out. Tomorrow I'll be right on track!

Good morning everyone! Please take part in this thread...you may post if you stayed within your calorie range also you may post if you went over or under and by how much. This will help keep everyone accountable!Write down how you did. If you go over or under when you write it down it makes it hard to ignore! Also when you stay within range and you write it down you encourage other team members and it has a positive effect on you too!

Good morning Naomi....I have done good but eating out ruins my diet...I've put on a lb...then lost a lb....and put it back on again overnight...I didn't get home until abt 8:05 last night so had a late meal...definately not good for a diet!

wow Mayzee! Good job keeping it that close while eating out. Eating out sure can be deceptive. Our current favorite is Applebee's because they have several items that say less than 550 calories. I never know what is safe to order anywhere else.

I am still dragging behind the wagon so to speak. I ended up waking up Monday with a really bad cold that has now turned into a sinus infection. I haven't been eating right, exercising, or tracking all week. I went to the doctor today so I hope I will get back to normal soon.

Well it's day 28 and I stayed on track every day except Mon. I went over by 39 calories. I've had to eat meals out for a few days and it is really hard.
I had to get something for breakfast yesterday also since I didn't have time to fix something before I left. We decided to stop at Hardee's so I ordered their low carb breakfast so my blood sugar wouldn't spike. Thank goodness I didn't eat it all because when I got home and looked it up it contained 50 fats and 640 calories...Unbelievable!!! I thought the low carb bowl would be a better choice than a sausage bicuit because they are 550 calories!

Hi all I am back from the festival. I really fell off the track over the weekend but I will start anew on Monday. The family chose buffet style restaurants for dinner every night and of course I have no will power in the face of all that food emoticon but we are home now and I will not be eating out anytime soon.

Isn't it a shock how many calories are in some things? I'm dreading this weekend. We are all going to the state square dance festival and will be gone Fri to Sun. I know my brother and his wife are bringing sandwich things and we are supposed to bring veggies for the sandwiches and snacks but there will still be at least 2 meals in restaurants to tempt me. At least there should be lots of dancing to work it off!

I just the spark blog on Self Toughlove (No Excuses) and it really hit home for me. So I will be back with positive results.

Thanks for your encouragement. I am still tracking and was shocked at by negative results yesterday. I need to check calorie content before not after.

So with more tools I am better able to handle this challenge with my choices.

You can definitely do it TorySue! What are you snacking on? It helps me to not keep the stuff I would go crazy on in the house. Instead of chips and crackers I buy small bags of the mini rice cakes. I buy the smaller bags because then I don't feel as guilty if I get out of hand and eat the whole bag. The whole box of wheat thins is an issue but the whole small bag of caramel rice cakes is not so bad lol. I keep lots of celery and baby carrots even though I don't like them much. Since it's the only thing to snack on I settle or I don't snack emoticon like when I was a kid and my mom would tell me I could have an apple or nothing after school. emoticon
