Hey.....
why don't you tap for PR (psychological reversal) just take the script that you wrote/ used and change the words to even though I don't trust my body to loose weight without the scale

I need to have the scale to tell me how great I'm doing and how I'm feeling

It's really all about the scale

Try that and see what you come up with... also tap
Eventhoug I'm almost addicted to stepping on the scale
Even when I don't want to step on the scale I do it any way...

Hope this helps and thanks for the Spark Mail,

T

Well, I just spent some more time on scale therapy. I tapped last week about the scale thing and how I don't need the scale to tell me how well I'm doing and how I trust myself and my body to take the weight off. I did really well but....this morning I stepped on the scale again. I had a mental dialog going through my mind again saying I shouldn't do it because I give the scale too much power. But I did and the scale hadn't moved. It bugged me. Actually it really bugged me.
But I shouldn't have stepped on it because I have felt great all week. I mean GREAT. I have done so well in my eating and I've exercised. And I've gotten about 5 comments from people saying either, you look so good, what have you done - something with your hair? or you look like you've lost weight.
So I tapped again with the scale issues.
- I trust that my body can loose weight without the scale.
- I don't have to have the scale tell me how great I'm doing or how I'm feeling.
- I'll probably go down to a size 9 and the scale will still register as 250 pounds.
- But it doesn't matter what the scale says
- I trust my body to loose the weight and I trust that it is instinctively wise to go down to and maintain a weight that is healthy for me, my heart, and my joints.

This brought up a whole other series of feelings that I tapped on a bit but will have to continue to tap on later.

Thanks for the suggestions T. I'm going to use the one for rubbing the collar bone when I'm in public. I have two little boys in tow whenever I'm out and about so to find a public bathroom then to tap isn't that effective when I've got questions a mile a minute like, "what are you doing mommy? Are you stressed Mommy? What are you tapping about? Do we have to be in here? How much longer are you going to be?" and the list goes on and on, along with me saying, "Don't touch the toilet seat. Please don't push your brother. Will you please stop filling the toilet up with toilet paper?" I'd be in there forever trying, not only to tap on the points that just effected me but a whole plethera of new anxiety about trying to keep the kids out of germs. (hee hee)

Jan. Goal...

Hey guys I tap daily and I tap often. It's almost like an automatic response for me now. So I wanted to share with you what I do when I feel a strong emotion coming when I'm in public.

1) FIND A REST ROOM QUICKLY!!!!!!!! and then I tap away.

2) If I can't find a rest room, I tap or rub on the collar bone point. Yes I do this right in front of everybody.. because I know the EFT works and I really don't care what people think of me.
The collar bone point is great when strong emotions come up when your speaking to a group of people. I saw Gary Graig(EFT founder) do this when he was giving a really emotional speech. Every since then whenever I experience a strong emotion in public I tap or rub the collar bone point.

3)Wait till you get home in a quite place and re-call your day. When you get to parts that upset you or bring up negative emotions just tap on then. Waiting is a good option but, I found that it's best to tap on the yuck when it comes up plus tapping in the middle of day helps you focus and move through you day more peacefully.

Blessings,
T

I used the "Tap O' the evening by Brad Yates last night and the morning one today. I have noticed a big difference in my mental attitude today I have been more alert and got through the day without thinking about or wanting the foods I usually crave.

I did some tapping later in the day yesterday (first day.) I was feeling especially stressed that the day had flown away and I hadn't gotten what I needed done so I tapped on that. It calmed me down and I was able to finish my chores and day up calmly and happily.

January's goal is to tap two rounds a day on anything that is specific to your circumstances. EFT works great but it can be easily forgotten when you need it the most. This goal will help you get into the habit of tapping regularly.

Also, EFT works on the bodies meridian system, which, for the most part is electrical. Electricity's best conductor is water. So if you are dehydrated, the tapping won't work as well. This is why I've added this as one of our goals too.

So, in this thread, let us know how your doing through out the month. Any challenges? Any successes? Share!! Hopefully this thread will be active right through January.
