Thank you for the responses. In the end I wore the new shoes for better cushioning, because I felt the old ones were wacking out my knee and back. I am continuing my search for a replacement running pair (which is a half size larger). emoticon

The running advice s to get a half size larger so you have extra room in the toe.

have you tried getting some of those inserts to put in your old shoes?
mine started hurting because no cushion was left and i bought some of those (walmart or a pharmacy store) to tide me over till i bought new shoes and it fixed the problem :)
good luck

I am having trouble finding a replacement for my 1/2 size larger running shows. I did get new regular size sneakers. The old runners are pretty worn out, not much cushioning left.
Which pair should I use tomorrow in my run? I am leaning toward the regular size pair, because of the support despite the lack of extra toe room.
Advice and suggestions please?
