Being healthy means eating healthy and exercising. How do I do this? I learn new recipes, go check out new restaurants that serve healthier dishes. Even better is when you can share the dish(es). Not only does the other person eat well but you can split the calories. :-)

As for exercise, I've come to learn it doesn't have to stay in the gym. I've tried 5k's, 10k's, Mud Runs, swimming, hiking. skiing. Exercise can also open a whole new world of experiences -- I'm looking forward to learning how to kayak, and paddle boarding.

For me being healthy is eating well and staying active. It is not about dieting. It is about just trying to eat whole, natural foods, with fewer and better ingredients. I try to avoid fat-free and low-fat stuff -- eating a tiny bit of full-fat stuff is more satisfying I find. I also don't beat myself up if I have a cookie or some french fries -- I am human after all. Exercise for me is just about doing what I can and not pressuring myself to hit the gym everyday. I try to do push ups and crunches while I am lounging around at home. I talk walks around my office to break up my day. But I love to sweat and a good workout really gets me going. For me it isn't about dieting or losing weight. It is about having a healthy lifestyle!

Being healthy does not only mean eating healthy. It also means feeling and looking healthy. That does not come only with physical exercise. It comes with the combination of physical, mental and emotional improvement. Many times, weight gain comes from emotion imbalance which depresses your mental state and therefore affects your physical energy. No matter what you do, you can't seem to overcome this burden. Everyone has one or even many. I say, face your challenges. Fix them or accept them. That way, you can move on to feeling good and healthy in no time. Let's do it people!!!!

Think you can do it, try it...don't give up no matter what.
