Any exercise done between Sunday at 11:55 am and Monday at 11:14 am counts as bonus time. If you haven't yet posted it, you still can. (or so it is my understanding) We are currently at 9 hr 20 min for Texas bonus.

I'm exhausted and frustrated and my feet hurt emoticon

I've been trying and trying to get a better score on this heading lark. I used to avoid it cos I wasn't good at it. Previous best was 290. After almost an hour of trying I've scored a personal best of 499. BUT it ain't good enough.. it just won't let me get any more for a perfect. Argh!!!!

Here is the answer to the bonus points questions, only certain challenges will allow you to use the bonus points:

BONUS POINTS: During the time that a team must wait at a location for the next team to arrive you do not get to just sit around or go sight-seeing. You will be allowed to earn bonus points! For each hour that your team exercises during the waiting time, you will receive 1 point. The bonus points may be used in two ways:

1) During a challenge - Instructions on how to redeem your bonus points will be given when you receive your challenge.

2) During a “travel” exercise session - To skip an exercise session to travel to the next state, your team must have accumulated enough points to cover the entire amount of exercise hours needed before you can redeem them to skip a session. Bonus points can NOT be used at the end of the game to reach the final desitnation.

You must post in the main Amazing Race tread that you wish to use your bonus points, they will not automatically be applied. Bonus points cannot be used in the state where you earned them.

Yup, you're right, Mudder! Here's the scenario:

Jet Setters and Gypsies


You find yourself at King Ranch in Texas which is larger than the state of Rhode Island. Yep partner, lot's of horses in here on the ranch. Anyone who has ever spent any time around horses knows that they sometimes kick. To build up your reflexes so you don't get kicked in the head you will compete in Soccer Heading (basic).

Before the end of 24 hours please post the best score that anyone on your team has been able to achieve. The winning team will deduct 5 hours of exercise from the time required to travel to the next destination. The losing team will add 5 hours of exercise to the time required to travel to the next destination.

I've gotten perfect scores before, too. I wonder what happens if there's a tie?

Also, we have 15 Total Bonus Hours. 6 of wish were from CO, 9 from TX. We didn't.. ah.. "use" any of them, though. How are we supposed to use them? Can they be used toward our next destination- if we don't use them, are they null and void?

I'm asking because MOMMY_T in the AMAZING RACE thread is asking about our bonus hours. And because I've never done this before, I won't want to post incorrectly and get something messed up!

OK guys, all exercise accomplished after 11:54 Sunday until the gypsies meet us in Texas will count towards bonus time.

Helen are those 5 hours from today, if so the JET SETTERS only need 20 minutes more till we reach TEXAS. Come on, we are so very close.

You Jet Setters are Awesome! Sorry to have missed the ski jumping, I had to be gone for a few days. A colleague had a new grandbaby and the rest of us had to cover at work. I did clean house thoroughly today however. A good four hours worth! Plus 30 minutes of WII Fit. Way to go team. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Phew, Gardening in the sun, with Bellydancing later on (there was about an hour in between) left me a little dizzy! I think I'll stick my head in the freezer to see if this feeling goes away.

Well done Team!!! emoticon I'm well chuffed with the result!

I have a question for Meylose and Graphickat

We're going the garden today. So digging out weeds and roots, turning the soil, tramping it flat, covering it with plastic, lugging 25kg bags of gravel and covering the plastic with it. Do I get to record ALL of it as exercise or is there any part that does NOT qualify?
