You can block each individual sender. I have started doing that. I also sent individual emails to some folks, but I think we just have some e-mail challenged folks who may not realize that this is not polite behaviour!

I agree. The email has been a frustration. I know everyone means well and may not realize the issue, but I hope we can stop the numerous emails we are all getting. I tried to "unlink" my email, but they keep coming! I have also tried to reply to everyone who sent an email, to remind them to use this page and not email to post/talk about results.

I don't think it'll help to leave the challenge. I think you'll still get the emails.

In the meantime, I'm focusing on my goals, ignoring Spark emails and hoping I don't delete those from people who really are emailing as my walking/eating healthy buddies.

If I Leave The Team and The Challenge, Will THAT Stop Me From Getting All Of This Bulk Mail That I Did Not Ask For And That I Have Asked For It To Stop? I asked nicely on the challenge page. I think I'll just leave the team. The last person to send it to me, when I tried to reply to ask it to stop, THAT person is not accepting email. I tried to set my sparkmail to no messages from other members and they still got through

I just spent about an hour dealing with email!!!! I sent every bulk emailer a personal request to quit it. I hope it will stop. I probably won't send any more email to the challenge participants again to hopefully get people who click "reply all" to stop it. Plus, I can only send 400 emails a day and the challenge is much bigger than that now.

I think I'll just focus on my own weight loss for a while and interract with the folks who come to the page. I'll still answer email, but I think I'm done with sending for now!

Today was my weigh in day for the last time in a 12 week Holiday Wellness at work. I had set a goal to lose 16 lbs so I would be below 300 lbs. I lost 16.2 lbs. I cried!!!! That is the first time I have been below 300 lbs in 3 1/2 yrs. So now with this challenge I intend to lose the next 5% of my body weight. Thanks for this group and this challenge!

Just for today, I will eat healthy!

I have to admit that this challenge is really making me think about everything I want to put in my mouth. Yesterday wasn't a really good day eating wise because of some timing issues. I had a 3 p.m. appt that didn't start until closer to 4, pushing everything back that wasted hour. I'd planned to return to my office to work until a 7 p.m. meeting, but the delay meant I was only in the office for about 30 min instead of the 2-hour makeup time I wanted.

I ate a small bag (one serving size) of baked doritos along with half a can of Diet Coke and went to my meeting. BTW, I don't usually drink diet pop but this challenge made me decide that was better than regular. After my meeting, I went home to eat some supper about 9:30, and ate a little too much of too many little things right before bed. Never a good combination.

However, this morning I woke up actually hungry and the scale was down .6 since yesterday, so I felt much better heading into today. Now, just to ignore that big box of Christmas chocolates on our office counter.... If only no one had opened it, the ignoring would be much easier emoticon

Just checked back in with sparkpeople after being away for a long time. I was very happy to see this challenge thread. New Years Day I weighed in at 200lbs. This is the year I will do this no more yoyo.

Down 5.2 pds on my first week of loosely following a low carb diet. I love two sites that offer recipes, if you're interested. Kalyn's Kitchen and Your Lighter Side. On Your Lighter Side, you MUST try her Cauliflower/Cheese pizza crust. OMG - when we were eating it, I said, "I can't even taste the cauliflower" to my hubs, and he said, "I forgot it was in it". Honestly, you can't taste it and you can hold the pizza in your hand, if you let it cool enough - I couldn't wait, so I used a fork. I had it cold for breakfast two days later (used my hand) and it was still DELICIOUS.
