Decided to lose in December as I had gained and weighed over 240 lbs. I believe there is no time like the present to take a resolution so didn't wait till January 1rst.

I have integrated exercise to my plan and joined the 10 min a day walk. I bike mostly every day not to say every day.

Feb 26: 232.5 lbs

We have a lot of new members in the pound a week challenge, so here are some general guidelines:

1. This is not a competition, but a way to challenge yourself and be accountable to yourself and the group
2. Your team members are there to provide support and advice - a lot of us have been here a while and may have tips for how to bust plateaus, how to beat cravings, etc.
3. Post your weight weekly - the weigh-in day is Sunday, but if you are involved in another challenge or getting weighed in at WW, we are flexible.

Hi! I've been a part of SparkPeople on and off for 2 years.... more off than on lately. Been rather discouraged as I had lost a significant amount of weight and during my "off" times have ended up putting a lot of it back on. I know that accountability is a major need in my weight loss journey. As I received an email about the challenge, I decided that I needed to get back on the wagon, so to speak. Count me in on the challenge. Will be weighing in tomorrow.

Join us as we spring into summer! Let's jump out the the winter blues and rock this next challenge. We've been hibernating and I know some of us have been exercising, but some of us have been cooped up due to the weather. This is our opportunity to really shake things up! Whoops. Once again I noticed that I joined this challenge and didn't post. I have steadily lost an average of 1 lb a week. Total loss since December is 17 lbs. It is slow, but it is different this time. I and doing it slowly, using the tools and making sure it is healthy habits I pay attention to.

My weight loss was very good the 1st 3 weeks, now it is slowing down to anywhere from 1/2 - 1 lb a week. I have increased my activity, don't know what i am doing wrong. Have I hit a plateau?

Down 4 lbs. since last week! emoticon I am so happy emoticon The emoticon was moving very slowly. This is a great incentive for me. I now have only 14 lbs. to go to enter Onederland. That will be one sweet day when it happens. Who knows maybe I will see Onederland in April.

Sorry I've been MIA for several weeks! The weight is coming off slowly about a lb. a week. At least it's a loss which makes me happy. Today when I got on the scale I hit my half way point. A 62 lb. loss. The scale is even now, everything from here on in is down hill. It will be a slow descent.

We have a lot of new members in the pound a week challenge, so here are some general guidelines:

1. This is not a competition, but a way to challenge yourself and be accountable to yourself and the group
2. Your team members are there to provide support and advice - a lot of us have been here a while and may have tips for how to bust plateaus, how to beat cravings, etc.
3. Post your weight weekly - the weigh-in day is Saturday, but if you are involved in another challenge or getting weighed in at WW, we are flexible.
4. You can post other times throughout the week if you want to post an NSV (non-scale victory), need advice, or just need to post something about how things are going.
5. Here is a template that you can copy and past to post your weights or you can do something else if you choose:

2/1/24:

2/15/14:

3/15/14:

6. Simply access the link to the challenge "New Year/New You", hit the Reply button and a comment box will appear. It will seem like you are replying to the last person's response, but you are replying to the thread for the challenge.
7. The goal is 13 lbs - if you lose more great! If you lose less, well any loss is a victory!
