Sorry I bailed on y'all during Week 2.

Do you enjoy playing with your kids? Playing leads to exercising and sets them on the path headed for a healthy lifestyle :) Don't have kids? "playing" is still the theme for this week. Go hang out with friends, do something fun for yourself. Take life seriously - by PLAYING THROUGH IT!!

Week 3 Action Plan

1. Understand your child's needs for exercise. Every child--from an infant to a teenager--needs physical activity each day. Since we can't count on schools to meet all of these requirements, it's up to parents to ensure kids are getting the activity they need. How are your kids stacking up with these exercise recommendations?

2. Get active as a family at least 3 times per week. You might walk the dog, ride bikes after dinner, go bowling instead of sitting at the movies, start a weekly Wii Fit competition or try your luck at the batting cages. Involve the whole family to come up with fun new ideas that get everyone moving together each week.

3. Make exercise a priority. If you want your children to enjoy a lifetime of fitness, lead them by example. Make sure you're exercising, too--at least 3-4 times per week as part of a healthy lifestyle.
