My husband might be a good partner for you as well. He is the same way. He really does not need to lose much weight. He is maybe 15lbs over what he should be. I think he is doing it more to stand along side me. I personally want to lose about 75 lbs.

I wont partner you up with anyone just yet. I will see if we get anyone else who may be a better fit for you. Thanks again for the info.

Lhammers-I have you down on my list of participants. I will let you know as soon as I have paired you up with a partner.

Roger-My husband is looking to join this challenge as well. Would you and him like to be partners? Then you can be a male team??? The only thing is, we live in Bellevue do he probably wouldnt work out at the gold gym on maple. Its completely up to you. I have also been looking for someone who lives in that area.

I don't mind, I would how ever like to see if there was someone close that maybe would like to actually meet up. I am really wanting to find some supports because i do not have any right now.

Skoehn and Jorathje02 I have made the two of you partners. As of right now I have you down as the brown team. If you two want to talk amoungst each other prior to the start of the challenge and rename your team you may. Otherwise during the challenge you will be the brown team. Please let me know what you decide.

So far you are my only male that has joined. Does it bother you if your partner is male or female? If not I currently have one person waiting for a partner. If you prefer a male I can wait until the end of the signup period to see if we have any more male participants. Its completely up to you. I want you to be comfortable with the challenge.

Nebraska Biggest Loser Challenge #2

This challenge is for anyone who lives in Nebraska and is a member of sparkpeople. If you are interested please read the rules below. If you are willing to abide by all the rules then please post to this thread to let me know that you are interested in participating. Once everyone signs up and the challenge actually begins the weigh in threads will be located in the challenge section of the "SparkNebraska-The official team" forum. If you dont know how to find thid please let me know and I will direct you in the right direction.

Dates:

The challenge will last for 6 weeks. It will begin Sunday June 13th and end on Sunday July 25th. The deadline to sign up by is going to be Saturday June 12th at 1159 PM CST.

Rules and Important Information:

1.Everyone needs to weigh in on Sundays. I ask that you weigh in on the same scale around the same time every Sunday. This will help to keep things consistent. Your first weigh in will be Sunday June 13th. Your final weigh in will be Sunday July 25th. You must post your weights by 1159 PM CST on Sundays or your weight will not be counted!

2.We will be measuring the percent of body weight lost for the team. To do this you will take your actual weight (the weight you are on your weigh in) and subtract it from your starting weight (this is your starting weight at the beginning of this challenge). Then you will divide that number by your starting weight. The winner will be the team that losses the most percentage of body weight.

3.Each Friday I will post a new thread for that weeks weigh in. This thread will include the next weeks mini challenges. EVEN THOUGH THIS THREAD WILL BE AVAILABLE ON FRIDAY, PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR WEIGH IN UNTIL SUNDAY! The reason it is going to be open early is so you know ahead of time what the challenge will be. All you have to post is your weigh in for the week and the amount of days you completed the challenges. I will do the calculations to figure out your teams percentage of body weight lost. The results will then be posted no later than Wednesday. Please do not post your lbs lost. Please post your actual weight. This will help me to keep everything straight. If you donít want people knowing your exact weight you may email me through sparkmail with your weight. But it needs to be submitted on time or it will not count.

4.Anyone can join between today and Saturday June 12th at 1159 PM CST. No late participants will be accepted due to teams already being divided up.I plan to do a biggest loser challenge every 6 weeks. So you may join the next one if you miss the deadline. You are not allowed to post your weigh in until the first weigh in on Sunday April 18th.

5.This challenge will have a no fault policy. What that means is, you must submit your weigh in on time. If your weigh in is not received by 1159 PM CST on Sundays you will automatically be dropped from your team and the challenge. This is to help make sure everyone is receiving results for the teams in a timely manner. It also helps me to not have to back track all the time. If you are going to be out of town or canít make it to your computer for a certain weigh in please email me ahead of time so I know that you wonít be able to weigh in for the week and then you wonít be dropped. If this happens I will automatically use your weigh in from the prior week, so your numbers will stay the same and then the next week you can submit your current weight.

6.For this challenge we are going to do groups of 2 people instead of groups of 4-5. In order to do that you need to find a spark buddy and commit to being on a team together. If you do not have a spark buddy who resides in nebraska you may still sign up for the challenge. Then in the end I will pair you with someone else who does not have a buddy as well.

7. You do not have to watch the show or know anything about the show to participate. This will all be done on your own. You will have to perform your own workouts and create your own meal plans. Because this is online based, honesty is going to be the key here. No one is going to be there to watch your weigh ins.

8. Each week there will be a mini challenge to help motivate you. Each day that you complete the task during that week you will earn "lb points". Those "lb points" will then be added to your points lost for that week. If you complete the mini task all seven days that week you will be able to deduct 1 lb off of the lbs that you actually lost that week. Here is the "lb points" according to completed days:
Completed 1 day of activity = 0.1 lb points
Completed 2 days of activity = 0.3 lb points
Completed 3 days of activity = 0.4 lb points
Completed 4 days of activity = 0.6 lb points
Completed 5 days of activity = 0.7 lb points
Completed 6 days of activity = 0.9 lb points
Completed 7 days of activity = 1.0 lbs points
Ex: you lost 2.3 lbs for week 1. You also completed 4 days of the mini challenge. Therefore your weight lost that week would be 2.9 lbs.


If there is something I did not cover please feel free to ask. Also if there is something mentioned that is unclear please ask. I want this to be fun and help motivate everyone to lose some of those extra lbs; summer is right around the corner. Together we can do this! Now whoís in?
