Nutrition Challenge: June 1—10, 2009
For the next ten days we are going to focus on two areas that give many problems: Drinking Water, and eating sweet snacks!
1: We really have to get 8 cups a water a day, but Sparkpeople suggests 12. Since I’ve been team leaders, and active on other teams, water continues to be an issue for so many of us. We avoid, we exchange water for diet cola, we do anything besides drink the water. So for the next ten days, I challenge each of us to get 8-12 cups of water a day! Anyone who gets 12 every day gets a cheap goodie from someone. And no, absolutely no sweeten with sugar drinks! Track this on your goal tracker!
2: snacks, we all reach for them; we all have problems with this. Let’s face it, for most of us we are trying to change a life time of bad eating, of snacking at 11 with a Sneakers bar, at having an early evening snack of a Hershey bar, going for chips at night. And when we cut them out we crave them more and more and more. At 10pm most nights I have to eat something, and I struggle every night with not eating anything. For the next ten days we are going to NOT eat any sweet snacks or chips and the like. This doesn’t need defining we all know that it is! Track this on your goal tracker.
Men, it’s only ten days: ten days! We can do this, we must do this. I challenge each of us right now on June 1, 2009: make a commitment to change and to continue change, to support and to share!
