Great job. I am down 19 pounds so far. I am exercising at least 90 minutes a day. I do strength three days a week and cardio the others. I try to biking whenever I can, and this winter I have been getting a lot of biking in on our beautiful weekends.

What doesn''t kill you makes you stronger.

I have been working on living a "greener" life. I have been recycling paper, plastic, glass, and metal for a few years now. I was buying cases of bottled water weekly and tossing 5-6 in my lunch box to drink throughout the day. I would bring the empty bottles home and recycle them. It hit me this year that maybe I should try filtering tap water. I went online and bought a set of 5 Waterweek bottles and a large Brita tank. I have not opened a bottle of water since January 3. My trips to the recycle center are down to once a month instead of every other week.

As far as living a healthy lifestyle, I joined the local YMCA Diabetes Prevention program back in October. I was diagnosed as insulin resistant/pre-diabetic in October 2013. I lost 7% of my body weight during the 16 weeks of the program. We have moved on to monthly maintenance now until September. My goal is to keep up the habits and behaviors I learned on the program. I just want to mention that I love the nutrition and exercise tracker on Sparkpeople. I use them daily. However, there is something about writing down what I eat and the exercise I do that makes it stick better than electrons on a computer screen.

It has been a rough two months for me. My goals is to simply get back on my exercise (at least 30 minutes a day) and food plan (more veggies, three meals a day with a snack, more structure on weekends).
